Best 4 Months of my Life.
August 21, 2026Sam Willie - United StatesProvider: WorldStrides
My time in Barcelona was unbelievable and unforgettable. I did a semester at UAB in the spring 2026 semester and had the best experience. I met so many amazing people and went so many amazing places. There was something for everyone in Barcelona, it was the perfect city. And it was a great hub to explore more of Europe. I was able to visit 12 countries and 16 cities in an 18 week program. WorldStrides staff in Barcelona were so amazing, they were so helpful and friendly. The living accommodations that they set up for us were perfect as well. I was living very comfortably and all the friends I made in the program agreed that they loved their setups. The WorldStrides excursions were amazing as well, they were so fun and I met even more friends. Truly could not recommend it enough to anyone looking to go abroad.

I really enjoyed my time at that's mandarin! My teachers Yan laoshi and Wan laoshi were the best, kindest teachers. The people you meet at the school were all very lovely and we participated in many cultural activities at the school, like Mahjong night, singing and qing hua ci. Thank you for all the best staff and people for making my summer unforgettable.
Mexico with Iguana Abroad
August 21, 2026Kaley Laurel-Jones - United StatesProvider: Iguana Abroad
Learning Spanish in Mexico with Iguana Abroad was an incredible and unforgettable experience that truly deepened my knowledge of Spanish and my love for travel. I learnt so much during my time there – both with our teachers in our classes but also around the city during the “immersion” part of the program. I would say I learnt the most Spanish on my trip while I was talking to people around the city on the guided walks and tours with Iguana Abroad, as well as during the salsa dance class and the Mexican cooking class. The organizers of the program really encourage you to step out of your comfort zone and immerse yourself in Mexican culture as much as possible which I found so helpful for gaining confidence with my Spanish. The Iguana Abroad team is all really supportive and welcoming and the program directors and staff really went above and beyond to make sure our group of girls felt comfortable the whole time we were on the course. I highly recommend this program for anyone looking to fully immerse themselves in Mexican culture and learn Spanish in an exciting environment through cultural immersion.

Currently I now live in Norway and am pursuing my Masters in Computer Science. During my exchange semester, I met so many people and the classes I took really inspired me. Genuinely, I think the experience was somewhat live changing. The professors I met were also incredible. Even though I am a computer science major, I feel this experience would be good for any major.
Learn Chinese from hardworking and skilled teachers
August 21, 2026Noah Zvonek - AustriaProvider: LTL Language School
My experience at LTL Language school was a wonderful one. Besides noticeably improving my Chinese skills, I was able to meet wonderful people both teachers and students and experience the local culture in a way I couldn't have otherwise. My respect and admiration lies in the workers and volunteers that make the school what it is.
Love to hear it, Noah :) So pleased you had a great time with us and we'd love you to come back soon. Keep up the great work. LTL Team

Throughout the three weeks, they not only made me feel safe and supported, but also like family. The staff were also super nice and helped you keep on going even when you were tired. We were all in it together! The activities were also all immersive and varied, so you get a good mix of history, culture, and souvenirs to bring home! If your a history buff, you’ll be especially happy! This is a program that everyone, atleast once in their life, needs to experience!

This trip was a rich experience that helped me learn about the local life as well as enjoy the simple and fun experiences in Japan. From the quiet shops to the towering skyscrapers, every day was a new adventure. The nature in Nara, tech in Tokyo, and the cuisine in Osaka all stole my breath. It was an amazing trip and couldn’t recommend it enough. Not only that, but it teaches kids social skills and cues. Going to a different country will teach far more than we know.

I've learned a lot, actually, because it also has to do with my major, but these are things that I don't particularly do in my classes because we are more designers for websites; I already knew how to do the technical stuff, but it was helpful in handling it the more professional way, because I used to do it only in school, and in school you don't really care about your work that much; here, it's for the company itself, so it has to be done in a professional way, and in that way, it was helpful! Thank you for everything KGY.

This Was Such A Once In A Lifetime Experience!!!

Oh my gosh, where do I even start with this program? It was absolutely, positively, mind-blowingly amazing! Seriously, I can’t even begin to express how incredible it was. From the very first day, I was in love with World Class Programs. The energy, the staff, the excitement, the sheer awesomeness of it all was just overwhelming in the best way possible. First off, the people and teachers at World Class Programs were just the best. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and it felt like I was part of a big, happy family right from the start. The instructors were super knowledgeable and passionate about what they were teaching, and it was so inspiring to see how much they cared about helping us succeed. They continuously went above and beyond to make sure we understood everything and were always there to answer any questions we had, no matter how silly they might have seemed. And the activities! Oh my goodness, the activities were just out of this world. We got to do so many cool things that I never even thought I’d get the chance to try. There were trips to places like Kyoto, Nara (to see the deer!!!), Himeji, Hiroshima (on the peace day festival) and Tokyo! We also played group games, and even some fun, unexpected surprises that kept us on our toes and made every day an adventure (don’t even ask me about the “karaoke” experience! Haha). I learned so much and had a blast doing it. It was, seriously, like being in a dream. But it wasn’t just the people and activities that made this program so amazing. It was also the environment. Japan. Oh Japan. Japan was just beautiful, with stunning views and a vibe that was both really chill and relaxing, and also energizing at the same time. It was the perfect setting for us to focus, learn, and grow, and I felt so lucky to be there. Every morning, I would wake up excited to see what the day had in store, and every night, I would go to bed feeling grateful for the incredible experiences I had. I also have to mention how much I learned. This program was not just fun and games; it was also incredibly educational. I took the Japanese history course for my major and Photography for my minor. I gained so much knowledge and skills that I know will be super valuable in the future. The way the information was presented was so engaging and easy to understand, and I felt like I was really absorbing everything. Being able to EXPERIENCE things rather than just talk about them was great. It was like my brain was a sponge, soaking up all the amazing stuff being thrown at it. And let’s not forget about the friendships I made. I met so many awesome people who I will never forget. We had so much fun together, whether we were playing “taco cat goat cheese pizza”, hanging out during breaks, watching movies, or just chatting about life. Even though we all just met, It was like we had known each other forever, and I felt so lucky to have them in my life. We even planned to stay in touch after the program ended, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for all of us. In conclusion, this program was just the best experience of my life. It was everything I could have ever hoped for and more. I learned so much, met so many amazing people, and had the time of my life. I will always look back on this program with fond memories and a heart full of gratitude. It was truly an incredible experience, and I am so thankful to have been a part of it. Thank you World Class Programs!!!

Web Development Internship in Morogoro

Program: Computer Technician Internship
Many thanks to Magessa George and the FIEN Foundation for their warm welcome to Morogoro, Tanzania! My main objective was to make a website for Green Apple Pre and Primary School, alongside my colleague Ryder. We visited the school a few times a week to work directly with teachers and administration to design a website that met their needs. We enjoyed playing football with the kids at school on Wednesday afternoons. I give my thanks to Mr. and Madam Kusaga for hosting us at the school. After Ryder and I completed our work, we were invited to an Iftar celebration hosted by the school. The Kusagas, teachers, and I spoke, giving thanks for the experience and work we put in together. I felt so much support from the FIEN Foundation as I navigated this journey. FIEN families hosted us for lunches and dinners. George introduced us to friends who guided us through shopping, public transportation, and other elements of life in Morogoro. I lovedworking at the FIEN office most days, chatting over chai with George, meeting his family, and enjoying delicious ugali. I find myself counting the days until I can return to see my friends in TZ again.

A life-changing experiment

My study abroad was the greatest time of my life. I met countless friends from the United States and all over the world. I have friends that I am actively planning trips to see again in Paris and am coordinating trips in America for my American friends abroad. Within 3 weeks of my return I went from Ohio to Idaho to see a good friend I had met just months earlier. Every night was an adventure. My French is very good. I would love to go back but also inspire others to take that step in their journey.
My time at world class programs

I went on a 3 week study abroad trip to Japan in 2026 and I had sososo much fun! I was nervous about traveling alone but all the staff were friendly and experienced in travel, so they took all the stress away. The whole trip all the staff were extremely kind, fun and understanding. They always accommodated everyone’s needs. I had lots of fun doing the classes and genuinely learned so much more than I knew before this trip. I felt like I was learning even outside of class in the funnest way possible, I feel like I might even be able to navigate a train station by myself! I really enjoyed free time and I bought so much stuff. I loved going to the malls and animate, my clothing and figure collection has grown substantially. This trip was genuinely a once in a lifetime experience and I had worlds of fun. My only con is that I wish we could have our own rooms the whole time, mostly because I’m a big introvert and I just enjoy having my own space!! Everyone on the program and not was so friendly and Japan is a great place to visit, especially with world class programs!!

Barcelona Intern

The entire internship abroad experience was great! The Beyond Academy coordinators did a great job organizing activities that allowed us to experience the must-see parts of Barcelona, while also providing great recommendations for places to eat, explore, and navigate the city. I also really appreciated the wide variety of internship fields available. Overall, it was a great way to gain international work experience while experiencing life in Barcelona!
Thank you so much for the lovely review, Kiera! We’re so glad to hear that you had such a positive experience in Barcelona and were able to combine gaining international work experience with making the most of everything the city has to offer. It’s especially great to hear how much you enjoyed the activities organized by our Barcelona Community Team, as well as all of their local recommendations along the way. We always want our interns to feel like they’re really experiencing life in their program city, rather than simply living and working there for a few weeks. We loved having you as part of our Barcelona community and hope you’re leaving with some amazing memories, new skills and experiences that you can take forward into your future career. Wishing you all the best with whatever comes next!
Meaningful labour experience in Buenos Aires
August 21, 2026Igor Przybyłek - PolandProvider: International Volunteer HQ [IVHQ]
Program: IVHQ Construction and Renovation Program in Buenos Aires
This community-focused program in Buenos Aires delivers a deeply rewarding experience centered on tangible, structural impact. Operating in underfunded neighborhoods, the initiative connects volunteers with local schools in urgent need of infrastructure support. The primary focus of the program is the physical renovation of educational spaces through straightforward manual labor. For anyone looking to combine hard work with immediate community benefits, this project stands out as an exceptional choice.Program Structure and ExecutionThe program is highly organized, structured to maximize the efficiency of volunteer hours. Upon arrival, participants receive an orientation detailing the school's needs and the scope of the renovation goals. The daily workflow is highly focused and hands-on, consisting of two main phases:Scrubbing: Deep-cleaning the walls to remove years of dirt, grime, and debris.Painting: Applying fresh coats of clean, white paint to revitalize the classrooms.Local site coordinators manage logistics seamlessly, ensuring all necessary materials like scrub brushes, buckets, rollers, and white paint are always available. They bridge the gap between volunteers and school staff, fostering a unified team environment.Community ImpactThe core strength of this program lies in its direct impact on the local student population. Many public schools in suburban Buenos Aires face severe budget constraints, leaving routine maintenance as a low priority. Transitioning stained, worn-out walls into bright, clean, white surfaces completely transforms the educational atmosphere. Clean environments have a documented positive effect on student morale, focus, and academic engagement. By restoring these spaces, the program restores a sense of dignity and pride for both the children and their educators.Cultural Immersive ValueBeyond the manual labor, the program offers rich cultural immersion. Volunteers work side-by-side with Argentine school staff, building genuine connections through shared physical effort. Mid-day breaks provide natural opportunities to practice Spanish and learn about daily life in Buenos Aires. Furthermore, the program structure allows evenings and weekends free, giving participants ample time to explore the city's rich history, historic neighborhoods, and famous culinary scene.Final VerdictThis renovation program is an excellent match for proactive individuals who prefer focused, physical tasks over traditional classroom teaching. While scrubbing and painting requires physical stamina and a willingness to get dirty, the reward is instantaneous. Walking away from a school knowing that the bright, clean, white walls will welcome hundreds of children is an unforgettable feeling. It is a highly recommended initiative that leaves a lasting footprint on the youth of Buenos Aires
I definitely recommend!

I chose LTL Chengdu and came here for two weeks only - sadly, because it should have been longer! I got the Homestay option and the Survival Kit. My homestay host was very welcoming and I enjoyed my time with her and her pets. I had 1on1 classes everyday, two classes per day. The school was very nice, there is a common area for all students. I had classes with teacher Guo Xinyue, who was really kind, and classes with her were a pleasure. The teaching materials were probided by the school, and the teacher explained everything in an understandable way. The school organized social activities - I personally did not participate because I wanted to explore the city, but it was an option. For most of my sightseeing I used the recommendations provided by LTL. In short, I had a great time and everything was very professional!
Five stars, great time!
August 21, 2026Christopher Story - United StatesProvider: LTL Language School
I was a student here for four weeks, and signed up for group classes. However, they didn’t have other students at my skill level entering at the same time, so they converted my classes into two hours of private tutoring, a compromise I was more than satisfied with. I found my teacher, Juan Tang, to be knowledgeable, kind, and overachieving in teaching. She brought games, changed her curriculum to suit my needs, and answered questions outside of school hours. Besides that, she was kind, enthusiastic, and very encouraging, even going so far as to give me a gift in our final lesson! Besides the teaching, the location is excellent, the admin organized, and the community warm. The students are varied and international, with weekly, always changing activities.

I'm not confident in Korean I just know how to say Annyeonghaseyo. Saranghae. I love you. I love BTS that's all I need to say. And I have been in South Korea for the past one month and a half. I have about 15 days left. So, I'm doing an internship in marketing and PR. It's in a K-pop entertainment company. It has been good. At the start, it was a bit new. I'm not used to sitting at the desk for such a long period. And this is my first internship, so now I'm used to it. It's a bit easier. All the people over there are really helpful and kind. I'm doing business administration and international business. My school wanted us to do a compulsory internship in our first year. At first, it was just additional work. I didn't want to do an internship right after my exams, since it's my vacation. So, I had to go somewhere that I would actually enjov. So, I was like, I'll just go to South Korea. It's the perfect thing for me. I love BTS. That's why I chose South Korea. It's basically because of BTS. And I don’t regret for a second and I have been really enjoying myself so much. I would definitely recommend it to everyone!
