Asia Internship Program

AIP helped me secure a 10-week internship in Taiwan, which was an amazing experience from sourcing companies based on our expertise to managing interviews and guiding us in the job application process. They really eased the load of having to source jobs overseas. It was an amazing experience! The support they provided throughout—from pre-departure preparation to checking in during the internship—made me feel well taken care of. I gained real-world experience, met new people, and learned so much about working in a different culture. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity and would recommend AIP to anyone looking to intern abroad with confidence and ease.

I am thankful that my school had collaborated with AIP! I took the chance to try an overseas summer internship in Bangkok and it was truly amazing. I interned in a company that has a really amazing mission of connecting people with the overlooked historical and cultural parts of Bangkok, while supporting local communities, which all syncs with my interests. I learnt a lot from them. Do check out the Roots Routes' tours and support local! All of these would not have been possible without the help of AIP and their team. Nisha and Kate has been really accommodating, always checking up on me, and replying to any questions fast too. I had an opportunity to meet and talk to the the CEO of AIP too. I could really tell that he is passionate about helping people find internships, to seek opportunities in this big world and develop experiences regardless of where they are at in their career. It's been such a great journey doing this internship with AIP and the Roots Routes. Recommend!

My advice to future travellers would be to mingle more with people in the program and your colleagues (locals always know the best tips on getting around) and connecting with others can help ease the loneliness that sometimes comes with solo travelling. Don’t be afraid to take on an overseas internship, treat it as a personal challenge. There will be many “firsts” along the way, but each one is a small milestone that you’ll learn and grow from. Be bold and embrace the experience. Lastly, make it a point to plan your weekends and explore different parts of the city. It’s a great way to immerse yourself in the culture and make the most of your time abroad.
