Very Expensive

If you have any other way to find an internship, you should go for it. AIP did what they promised and got me an internship spot, but that's it. Especially for Vietnam, 1500$ is a horrendous price for just an internship spot (that's like 7 months of rent in Vietnam), but I didnt have any other options left. Unrelated to AIP, working and living in Vietnam is very exciting and has opened a lot of opportunities for me. My company was great and gave me a lot of room and flexibility (even though that is not the standard in Vietnam).

Internship/Adventure

My internship in Vietnam was like a big adventure! I got to dive into the world of marketing in a country full of energy and color. Every day was different and exciting. I worked in Ho Chi Minh City, where life never seemed to slow down. My job wasn't just sitting in an office; it was about exploring the city, meeting new people, and learning as much as I could. One of the coolest things was working with a startup trying to change how people get their food delivered. We brainstormed ideas, made plans, and saw our ideas come to life. It was amazing to see how passionate and determined Vietnamese entrepreneurs are. Thank you AIP team for making this possible.

I was really lucky to do an internship in Vietnam last year. AIP was super supportive, and I met awesome people during the internship and at social events. Ho Chi Mihn quickly felt like home, and I made lifelong friends. It helped me grow personally and gain professional experience. No regrets, and I wish I could do it all again. I recommend this program to anyone who wants to travel and work professionally. This experience taught me that anything is possible, and you should grab every opportunity.

I needed an internship gap year and making the decision to head to Asia was the best decision I made. Easy, Guidance, Understanding, are few of the words I would use to describe AIP's service. Would definitely recommend if you're ever looking to go to Asia for professional experience!

Stuck here, and probably for good

I was kept here in Vietnam due to the pandemic and not being able to travel, I decided to apply to multiple internship providers and I chose AIP because they seemed trustworthy and amazing. Indeed I was correct, the help I got from AIP was great and I was able to work for a company that I really liked and I really appreciate it. I'm still here in Vietnam in the process of getting a visa that could let me stay here for long and I have no regrets on it.

Couldn't ask for a better team!

Everything was just amazing! I need an internship for my senior year and making the decision to head to Asia was the best thing ever. I initially chose to go to South Korea but I explored my flexibility and just decided to go to Vietnam since I had some relatives there. Comfort, Guidance, Fantastic, all of the above! Would recommend if you're ever looking to go to Asia for professional experience!!

Definitely worth everything!

In just 3 months time, I experienced everything in and out. As a teenager, I didn't think that I would be able to experience everything but I was so wrong as Vietnam just proved to me by showing all it's beautiful parts. This is something I will never forget and I'm thankful to AIP for giving me this opportunity.

My internship in Vietnam that was prepared by AIP was just phenomenal. It was really hard at first when I got to the airport because people barely spoke English to me and it was kind of difficult to pick up the accent. However, I was able to get through it, luckily, through my first 2 weeks and everything went smoothly. The Community Manager from AIP even took the time to get in touch with me so that I don't feel alone and confused wherever I went. I immediately felt assistance and comfort throughout my stay in Thailand. I can't wait to come back to Vietnam. Definitely recommend doing this program!

At first, I had trouble finding an internship in terms of destinations, industries, visa, etc. However, after reaching out to AIP, I finally was able to release the stress on finding an internship. The team was very supportive and active in ensuring that my ideal internship is met in Vietnam. They took care of me by also providing me an accommodation, airport pick-up, and visa guidance. I had the best 2 months of internship experience as it helped me improve my proficiency in the marketing field. I was able to adapt to the company’s culture smoothly and receive a lot of independent projects. Besides that, I was able to spend my free time traveling around Ho Chi Minh City. Overall the experience was great, and if you are ever looking for professional or touristy experience, Vietnam is definitely the place to look for.

Very different experience!

Moving to Vietnam was a big change for me since I have never been out of India. I didn’t know what to expect from Hanoi and my internship there. Preparing for a new job in a new place with the added pressure of language barriers was daunting. I am now 4 months into my internship and all I can say is I am loving this place. My workplace is great, my colleagues are very supportive and friendly. AIP has been in touch with me over these months making sure everything is going smoothly at my workplace. I am now looking forward to interning in other Asian destination that AIP offers and hopefully I will get to learn many more skills from there as well.

Da Lat-ful Vietnam

Wow, I was really surprised by Vietnam, Ho Chi Minh is always so busy.. it felt like a relaxing place for me. Everything is convenient there, dinner is always easy to get at night. Although, I was sometimes charged extra for being a foreigner which can be super frustrating; I remembered that AIP had once advised me to negotiate with the price when but more so for buying things in a market as opposed to street-food vendors. Anyway, district 3 is a great place for all of us to gather together and eat Vietnamese food with locals. About Vietnam, I learned that cars were not used all that much here, but motorbikes were commonly used. Traveling is easy and fast but maybe a bit scary at times. The buildings are reminiscent of French architecture because of the turbulent history which I found so interesting. On the downside, I felt that the temperature could get a bit uncomfortably hot in the crowded city. One of the locals gave me a suggestion about going up to the mountain called Da Lat, it was windy and the temperature was really cool making me want to set up a tent and sleep over. You could see the clouds hovering above the city *It makes a great place for a morning or evening tea* Although, I have applied for the placement package, AIP was kind to help with giving advise on where I should go to relax, or what type of food will suit to my preferences. I really enjoy this visit, and I plan to come back soon but not with an internship but as a summer vacation.

Amazing 3 months in Vietnam

The past 3 months I spent in Vietnam was truly unforgettable. I did a business development internship in Ho Chi Minh City with an event management company. I'm majoring in public relations and I have a lot of interest in organizing events, so AIP found me just what I was looking for and also matched what I was studying. I'm doing the internship as a part of my degree, so my university advisor was a littly picky about what tasks I would actually be working on. I wasn't exactly sure how it was going to work with an internship provider such as AIP and needing approval by my advisor but I was actually taken a back by how smooth it went. So after I had my internship pretty much confirmed by the company, I just needed a job description on what I would actually be working on and my AIP representative Dennis helped me so much with that and coordinated with the company and my advisor. Everything went in a timely manner and I was very pleased with everything. I originally went for the Placement package but after seeing how smooth AIP was, I decided to upgrade to the Standard package because I built a bit of a trust and thought AIP would handle everything for me with the airport pickup and accommodation. In fact, I'm soooo glad I decided to upgrade. I would've been so overwhelmed with organizing everything, especially since when I first arrived I was terribly jetlagged haha. But I'm very pleased with the host company I was with and was able to apply some things I've learned in school with an actual company. It gave me some insight on how it's actually like to work with clients, venues, and also colleagues. Vietnam's culture was also amazing to experience. The food, people, landmarks were all awesome to experience first hand. I would recommend AIP's program to anyone interested or thinking about applying.

Do the insurance!

So like many others here I had a great internship in Vietnam, the workplace the people and in general all the AIP support has been great but what I want to stress on in my review is the fact that you need to get an insurance. I never had big incidents and never been abroad for more than a couple of weeks, that's why when AIP proposed me to do an insurance with their partner I was skeptic of spending additional money for my 2 months internship thinking that because of the short time and the fact that I’m not an adrenaline junkie I wouldn’t have needed it. Unfortunately, I was wrong, its raining season and the monsoon hit Vietnam hard like the rest of southeast Asia, I was coming back from work when the storm surprised me halfway through. My apartment was not so far from the office so I just decided to cover my head with my laptop bag and run home, unfortunately, there was a crack in the pavement and I sprang my ankle. Instantly the people around called me an ambulance and the guys of AIP came within minutes to check on me and accompanied me to the hospital where the doctor checked on me and gave me a tutor, all was fine till the moment the bill of the hospital came. Used to Europe I didn’t expect that a visit and a tutor could cost approximately 250 euros, luckily the guys at AIP covered it for me but if it wasn’t for them I would have not been able to pay straight aways and I would have had to ask my parents to send me money… So if there's something that I want to tell to anyone of you willing to do an internship in Asia is: Do an insurance, either the one that AIP offers or one on your own back in your country because you know… s#*%# happens

Interning in Vietnam with AIP

I applied for an internship in Vietnam through AIP this summer and it was one of the best summers ever! My housemate in college was Vietnamese and spoke so highly of the place that I just had to go, also, Pinterest made it look stunning. I just graduated from the University of South Africa where I studied Human Sciences. I am unsure what to do in my future so I decided to try my hand at HR. I applied through AIP and I'm really happy with their services. I really wanted to travel and thought an internship abroad would be the most constructive way to go about this, they advised that it would be possible in Ho Chi Minh! I had two interviews with two different companies, the first one was unable to take me on which was a pity but the second company accepted me :) It was such an amazing 2 months, the work was great but what was really incredible was the travel afterwards! Once my internship was up I rented a bike with a fellow intern and drove from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi and then fly to Chiang Mai in Thailand - I still can’t get over it! I really recommend AIP for those who are unsure what to do after college but know they want a bit of adventure!

My working holiday in Vietnam

I’ve never traveled outside the US before in my life and felt that it was time for me to spread my wings and either crash and burn or soar like an eagle. I originally wanted to go to Japan, but AIP recommended for me to try Vietnam as they had a partner company over there that met all my requirements, at first I declined and kept my point for Japan, and went through company after company and felt like they didn’t understand what I was looking for in an internship. With the help of AIP and their patience they told me that Vietnam would meet all my needs, so I decided why not. Had the interview with the company and felt amazed at what they did and their offices. Thanks to AIP my internship went great would have not changed anything and on the plus side I got to explore Vietnam with a ton of new friends and gained new skills that will help me for years to come.

NGO with AIP

I took part in a 6 months NGO internship in Vietnam and I could not be any happier that I chose to go for it. Vietnam is a beautiful country and the people I worked with were super nice. Working at the NGO not only made me happy as I was contributing a bit of me to humanity but also the fact that I was able to make people smile. I did not have any problem upon my arrival, AIP had already prepared everything for me, from my airport pickup to my accommodation. The stay there was peaceful though sometimes when I faced problems with my accommodation place then AIP would always help me fix the problem right away. I will surely visit Vietnam again in the future. I had the time of my life.

Vietnamese people are very professional. They all value work standards a lot, from the way they dress to the way they talk, which helped me improve my professionalism. AIP got me an internship in an International organization where everybody was super friendly. Not only was I working with Vietnamese people but also with people from other parts of the world. The work environment was very nice. I didn’t realize how 3 months pass by so fast. I also got to see the beauty of Vietnam. It is a very peaceful country. I enjoy nature visit on the weekends, kayaking at Cat Ba Island is my favorite memory. I have learnt a lot in the three months period that I was there and now I am looking forward to exploring the world and finding more work opportunities like this where I can travel and work at the same time.

AIP internship in Vietnam

Asia Internship Program opened doors into South East Asia region by giving me an incredible placement in Vietnamese local company that was doing e-commerce and were trying to expand into the international market so a person with a western background was a company's target, while for me it was exactly opposite. My dream was to explore more of the Asian culture and way of doing business. And AIP managed not only find but also connect us together, with amazing speed, quality and friendliness. I was born and raised in Canada, Toronto. Most of the time I was either staying in my hometown or travel to the United States, right over the border. Every single year during cold freezing winters my dream was to go somewhere where people enjoy summer for almost the whole year. Right before going to college I decided to apply for my internship to get an on-hand experience of the industry and practical knowledge so that I would be able to not only decide whether I made a right choice but also build strong business relationship and network. One of the programs that were introduced here was the Asia Internship Program. After the interview with one of the AIP staff, I was shocked (in a good way) by how easy and efficient the process is. The whole process took me about 2 months more or less so it was good that I applied a few months in advance. Mainly the visa process took longer than I would've thought about. After the internship was over, I managed to easily get into the University of Toronto and keep living with my parents at my hometown. But at the end of my degree University asks us to finish an internship to be able to get credits, and I am already sure which organization I will go with if you know what I mean.

NGOing in Vietnam

When I was a freshman I was looking for a lot of opportunities to study abroad and ended up going to Vietnam for one semester. I absolutely fell in love with the country, culture, food and especially the kind people. I made a lot of friends there and talked with them when I got back to the states. Now as a junior, I wanted to go back there to do an internship to gain some work experience. My school didn’t offer any internships in Vietnam, so I had to do some research on my own and that's how I found AIP. I was interested in working with an NGO in Vietnam and AIP connected me with the perfect organization to contribute to the community. Their services were on point and smooth, there's nothing to complain about. The housing was in the center of the city and near to a lot of restaurants, malls, and to my host organization. The only thing that I wish was included in the program was flights, which I had to organize on my own. But all in all, I'm very satisfied with AIP and their program in Vietnam.

A nerdy Spanish abroad

I just finished my 5-month internship in Marketing in Vietnam in Ho Chi Min City and I would like to share a bit of my experience here… AIP found me an internship in a company in Bến Thành (one of the main commercial area of the town), I’m from Spain specifically from Madrid and honestly when I decided to go to a big city in Vietnam I tough I was already used to the chaos of a big city but, beware, Vietnam will surprise you, traffic is crazy and when you first step down the plane you might feel a bit overwhelmed by the apparent random chaos of the traffic and of how things are run, I had previous travel experiences in India and initially I tough they were very similar. After the initial destabilizing experience I actually started to enjoy my time a lot and once I started to get the grip on a couple of Vietnamese words I started to practice that little I knew with the locals and that’s how I discovered how amazing are Vietnamese people, every time I went anywhere from the grocery store to a restaurant just saying “xin chào” (hello) and “cảm ơn” (thanks) the locals would instantly cheer for the little misspelt Vietnamese you know and are always willing in trying to teach you some new words. Unfortunately still even if I was having fun discovering the town and the language the first 2 weeks I struggled a little finding new friends… I’m what many people would call an “nerd”, I like to read manga and playing games and I’ m not exactly really keen on social interaction with strangers or clubbing and while everyone was super nice with me its hard to get through the language barrier at the beginning. But then 2 weeks in my internship everything changed, I was coming back from work and I did some grocery shopping when maybe because I was tired or just clumsy I stumbled and dropped my bags, at this point 2 girls that later would have become my best friends seeing me in a difficult situation came and offered me their help to bring the bags home, during the walk back home we talked and I realized that both the girls were quite savvy in English, actually Ngoc that studied in US had a better English then my broken Spanish accent English. Also happened that they lived next door and they were also working in offices not far from the area of my office. Useless to say that after this I was very grateful to the them and all of a sudden, I felt like I really wanted to actually hang out with them and that’s how we ended up doing our first girl night together in a near Italian bistro (that conveniently was just a couple blocks away from my apartment). From here on my internship has been a dream, I had friends, a very conveniently located apartment and an amazing internship where actually I learned a lot of things considering that in Vietnam and in general in Southeast Asia the digital marketing is on a total different level then in Europe where many businesses are not even online. One last thing, I wanted to thank AIP for the experience and again thanks for letting me bring my friends along with the other AIP interns to the Bonsai River Cruise trip, was amazing and the view of the city lights at night is something amazing.
