My internship abroad was an amazing experience that helped me grow both personally and professionally. I gained valuable work experience, learned how to adapt to a new environment, and met people from different cultures. Living abroad also made me more independent and confident. I’m grateful for the opportunity and would definitely recommend this program to anyone looking to develop new skills, experience another culture, and create unforgettable memories.

My time at Seoul was an amazing and unforgettable experience. Being immersed in Korean culture and everyday life helped me grow, build character, and gain new perspectives of the world. AIP made my summer internship in South Korea fun and supportive! I was able to safely explore Korea while knowing if I ever needed anything they'd be one text away for help. I spent six months in Bangkok through an internship organized by AIP, and I am very grateful for the experience. It definitely opened new opportunities and was a very rewarding experience. The apartment was in a great location, making it easy to get to work and explore the city. Whenever I had questions or needed support, Nisha, Herlyn and Kate from the community management team were always kind and happy to help. Overall, I had a very positive experience. Having AIP take care of the practical arrangements allowed me to focus on making the most of my internship and my time in Bangkok.

My experience with Asia Internship Program was amazing from start to finish. I had very specific requirements for my internship, including finding an unpaid position that was longer than 8 weeks and focused on nonprofit or legal work rather than English teaching. While the placement process took some time, Jeff Oo was incredibly professional and reassuring throughout the process. He was honest about updates, never gave false hope, and made sure he was finding opportunities that were truly the right fit for me rather than rushing the process. Once I arrived in Taiwan, Nisha Shahi and Roro Lee were also incredibly supportive. Nisha helped arrange my transportation to and from the airport, answered my questions quickly when I was settling into my accommodation, and regularly checked in to make sure I was doing well. Their support made moving to a new country feel much less overwhelming. The internship itself exceeded my expectations, and I felt welcomed and comfortable as a queer Black student. I’m incredibly grateful for the care, professionalism, and effort the AIP team put into making this experience successful. I would highly recommend Asia Internship Program to any student looking for an international internship experience!

I have good experience with AIP during the summer. I learned and network a lot through the company. I had a really good experience with AIP, especially with my agent, Jeff. My situation was a bit complicated because I had to return to my home country to renew my U.S. visa before travelling to Malaysia, but Jeff understood everything and guided me through the process. He stayed in contact, answered my questions, helped arrange interviews, and found a company that suited me. Even after I arrived in Malaysia, the AIP team checked in regularly to make sure everything was going well. I really appreciated how supportive and available they were throughout the whole experience.

I can’t say enough good things about this study abroad internship program in Japan. From day one, the support team went above and beyond — helping with everything from housing logistics to navigating cultural norms at the workplace, to just checking in to see how I was adjusting. Whenever I hit a snag (and there were a few, since everything was so new!), someone was always just a message away with real, helpful guidance. Working abroad completely shifted how I see the world and myself. Culturally, I learned to appreciate the nuance in Japanese communication styles — the emphasis on harmony, indirectness, and reading context that isn’t always spelled out. It pushed me to be more observant and adaptable in ways I didn’t expect. Professionally, it was just as transformative. I had an amazing six-month experience with Asia Internship Program. I got the chance to have a six week internship in Seoul, South Korea thanks to AIP, and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done! All the AIP staff were beyond accommodating and always made sure we had everything we needed to feel prepared and comfortable navigating such a new environment. Overall good experience in Seoul. If I had to say something to be improved, I think internship placements for certain majors are less tailored than others. If you’re looking for a more technical experience, it’s not as guaranteed.

AIP got me the internship i was looking for, and in such a short time frame they found the company and the position i was looking for. This help me tremendously not just my gaining the experience, but also this allowed me to achieve my academic requirements as well.

Deciding to do an internship through AIP was easily one of the best moves I’ve made. The team made the whole process super simple and stepped in to guide me every step of the way. AIP matched me with a role that aligned directly with my academic background and long-term career goals, rather than just placing me in a generic position.

My experience may be somewhat unique as the only real support I needed was help securing a placement, not the fuller range AIP typically offers. I worked with AIP through my university, and the staff were great, especially Tyler, who was quick to communicate and support me throughout. Early on there was some misalignment with my placement, requiring a fair amount of back-and-forth to resolve. I also wish there'd been more transparency upfront about program accommodations, details, and health benefits. Specifically, I wish I'd known what the insurance plans actually covered, so I would've felt more comfortable going to the doctor or navigating the city if needed. AIP claims to offer this kind of support, but I never used it, needed it, or even knew the details of what was available. Beyond helping kick off conversations with partners early, I'm not sure how much added value AIP provided in my case, but it was reassuring to have a support community there just in case. Worth it for a student coming in independently who needs support and planning help. Less clear whether it's worth it for a university.

I would like to thank AIP for finding me an amazing internship and pairing me with a company in the country of my original choice. Not only did the country match my preference, but so did the city, the type of organization, and the organization category. I was placed in an internship that aligned perfectly with my interests, such as human rights and nonprofits. The placement process was a little slower than I would have expected. Even with the tight time frame, I was still able to make the most out of my experience. Response time was pretty straightforward as long as I reached out. I was scared that they had forgotten about me during the interview process, but I assume their hands were tied with so many applicants at the time. I simply followed up often and received responses with no issues. The only other mishap was when there was a mix-up in my host company website details. Before the interview, I was meant to read the company's website to ensure I had context for the interview. However, there was a small mix-up because my company shared similar acronyms with another company. During my interview, it was noted that I did not have the proper insight because of the mix-up. Therefore, I faced no penalties for not knowing, and my host company was very understanding. I hope AIP continues to protect the integrity of its placement process, reviews and customer service by promoting transparency and ensuring students receive the correct information throughout the entire process. Overall, I appreciate AIP for providing me with a placement that helped me develop future skill sets and build relationships that will last a lifetime. The Individual Package was the absolute best because it allowed me to manage my money in a way that worked better for my budget. This package also gave me the room to step out of my comfort zone and gain individuality through solo travel that I never would have gained without the option to choose a more independent experience. It also means they have more options for students who would like a little more support. I am really glad that AIP did not put my interests aside and place me just anywhere because my placement really made my experience complete. I hope the company continues to protect its integrity and promote transparency in its services so that future students can have the same positive experience that I had.

It has been an interesting experience. While it was partially my fault, I felt like I wish I was able to interview with more companies and be able to have chosen a more prepared company for interns. Besides that I really did enjoy my experience! I still learned a lot of new things such as the language, food, culture and history of South Korea and have been able to try a lot of new hobbies and experience things I wouldn’t have been able to in my home country.

My internship experience in Bangkok, Thailand was an incredibly rewarding experience that I will always remember. It gave me the opportunity to gain hands-on exposure to the civil and structural engineering industry while experiencing a completely different work environment and culture. Throughout the internship, I learnt not only technical engineering knowledge, but also how professional engineers communicate, collaborate, solve problems, and manage projects in a real workplace. Seeing how engineering concepts from university are applied to actual projects has given me a much clearer understanding of the profession and has strengthened my confidence in pursuing a career as a structural engineer. My account manager, Jeff Oo, organised all of the required documents and guided me through each step, making the application and preparation process straightforward. My community managers, Nisha Shahi, Herlyn Jarder, and Kate Myat Noe were also incredibly supportive throughout the internship. I especially appreciated Nisha organising a welcome dinner before work began, which allowed all of the Bangkok interns to meet each other and settle in before starting our placements. She also kindly walked me to my workplace on my first day, making it much easier to navigate an unfamiliar city and helping me feel comfortable from the very beginning. The accommodation arranged by AIP was in a convenient location close to my workplace, making the daily commute simple and allowing me to focus on getting the most out of the internship. Whenever I had questions, whether about purchasing a SIM card, transportation, or everyday life in Bangkok, the AIP team was always approachable and quick to help. My time in Korea with AIP was one of the best decisions I made in college. I interned at NEFSLAB, a workspace design and commercial construction consulting firm in Seoul, and the placement matched my interests way better than I expected going in. Jinwoo made sure everything ran smoothly from day one and was always quick to help when I needed something sorted out. Daisy checked in regularly and genuinely cared about how the internship was going, not just as a box to check. Herlyn and Nisha both made the program feel personal instead of corporate, answering questions fast and making Seoul feel a lot less overwhelming during my first few weeks. Beyond the internship itself, the program gave me room to explore Jeju, Busan, and Kyoto on the side, which turned the trip into a lot more than just an internship abroad. My internship in Taiwan was honestly one of the most meaningful and enjoyable experiences I have had. At the start, I was a little nervous because I was working in a new environment and had to adjust to a different culture and way of communicating. However, my colleagues at my company were very welcoming, patient, and willing to guide me. Through working with them, I learned a lot about teamwork, communication, responsibility, and how to adapt when things do not always go according to plan. Besides gaining useful work experience, I also had the chance to make many new friends. Spending time with both locals and other interns made the whole journey much more memorable. The most memorable for me was the trip to Fulong Bay where I cycled with the other AIP interns. We shared meals, explored different places, helped one another, and created many good memories together. These friendships were definitely one of the best parts of the internship. I also really appreciated being able to experience Taiwan beyond the usual city attractions. Travelling to Taitung allowed me to see a quieter and more local side of Taiwan, including its natural scenery, small towns, food, and everyday lifestyle. It helped me understand the culture in a deeper way instead of only seeing Taiwan as a tourist. Overall, this internship helped me grow both professionally and personally. I became more independent, confident, and comfortable with adapting to unfamiliar situations. I did a 10-week internship with AIP in a Bangkok start-up fintech firm. My experience here has been nothing but fulfilling and enriching. I met amazing colleagues who were nurturing and taught me a lot about finance and Thailand in general! I met many new friends here as well and we did some travels out of the city during the weekends. Huge shout-out to Nisha who was very helpful during my interview and placement process, to constant check-ins in Bangkok. I was unfortunately hospitalised during my 2nd week here but received amazing private healthcare here and Nisha very kindly offered to come down and visit! Bangkok is overall a great place to stay with good food, amazing amazing culture and great shopping!

I did a 4 month internship in Tokyo through AIP which was a once in a lifetime experience. From the start of the application process, the AIP team were extremely helpful in finding me a relevant internship based on my interests and career aspirations. When I was Japan they stayed in touch and were there to help with any issues. I would like to especially thank Airi and Kate for their support! I did a digital marketing and PR internship which allowed me to be involved and take ownership of a wide range of tasks throughout my internship period. I definitely learned a lot! My program also included a tour and I got the chance to visit Mt. Fuji and Kamakura which were amazing. Also through my company I was able to experience traditional Japanese cultural activities such as tea ceremonies and flower arraigning classes which I had never done before! During my internship, I experienced a mix of appreciation and frustration. While I was excited to gain hands-on experience and apply what I’ve learned in a real-world setting, I often felt unhappy because I wasn’t given many opportunities to actively contribute. My internship in Japan was such a great experience that I’ll remember for the rest of my life! I got to spend 3 months there, and I had nothing to complain about. My accommodation was very nice, and all amenities were provided and restocked every week. The hotel was in a really good location, being a 5-minute walk from a station and a 20-minute walk from Dotonbori and Don Quixote. I had a lot of issues with money and family matters, and AIP was very helpful in placing me in my internship despite that. I never felt overworked during my internship, and I had plenty of time to explore Osaka and other parts of Japan. My coordinator, Airi, was so nice and helpful, as were Herlyn and Kate. I would definitely work with them again.

Not many people can say they had an internship abroad, and the opportunity was really unique and worthwhile. I was able to try so many new foods, participate in cultural practices (like ceremonial matcha tea ceremonies), and visit new places.

My internship in Korea was only possible through AIP and their support. I was initially very nervous; 6 weeks was going to be the longest time I have been away from home and on my own. Doing my internship during winter season was such a best timing as besides working, I experienced a whole new social environment and culture. The vibrant culture and modern transportation has captured my heart on my prior visits before my internship, hence why I wanted to work here. I am legitimately so happy with my internship, like the place, the people, the work itself... Everything is legit so much better than I expected, which is saying a lot cus I had like, pretty high expectations to begin with, ahaha~ My bosses are super nice and understanding, they're so kind and relatable and helpful, always open to help and hear any questions or even suggestions of mine (I've had to say my two cents' worth at times cus I've got some levels of experience at least, ahaha~), and I legitimately love the work environment they've created, it fees very safe and open to share one's thoughts! My co-workers are also so lovely and it feels like I've known them for a good while rather than just a few weeks! Housing is great too, legit was my "dream goshiwon" from a few years back, I can't believe I'm living there! The landlords are very kind too, always sharing info with us when relevant, letting us know of things with time, and they even offered to help me to install a filter for the shower! So not only are there legit zero issues, but they are super kind to top it all off! Also I still can't believe I get to live in Seongsu! I didn't know it was so popular before moving in, but apparently it's like, THE place to be in, in Seoul??! Like, ALL the pop-up stores are in Seongsu! And I get to see them being built up in the mornings and taken down at nights, HOW COOL IS THAT?!!!! ALSO. One of the most popular dance studios in Korea, 1 Million Dance Studio, is like, less than a 10 min walk away from my house, so obviously I joined in, wooooooo!!!! In terms of the actual work of the internship, the workload is good! Sure, there needs to be an adjustment period for me still (need to improve my "business Korean"!!!), but it's the perfect amount, also it's so fun! I didn't think that I would enjoy doing this sort of work as much as I do! Like sure, I thought it would be interesting at first, but it's turned out to be actually so frikkin cool and enjoyable working with all the different aspects in the giant field of marketing! Like, there's something new every day and there's VERY little room to get bored, which my ADHD brain loves soooooo much, ahahaha~ It's so weird, but I actually look forward to going to work every day, it's become a very wonderful daily routine! Commute is also great, the bus stations are like, RIGHT THERE so it makes it suuuuper convenient to get places! Rush hour is still going to be rush hour anywhere, so sure, there's that, but it's nothing unexpected, all good! But even once when I got distracted by something and missed my stop on the way to work like a dummy, it was actually so easy to find the way bacc cus I got lucky and turns out the next station really ain't that far off! xD Of course, there's also the option to take the subway (which, also super close!), and I sometimes do that, depending on where I need to head to next, and everything is just sooooooo convenient that it's legitimately unbelievable! O: I'm always doing something after work too, whether it be exploring alone or with friends, shopping around, dance class, church... Legit, my ONLY complaint is that there are simply not enough hours in the day. Like... I need at LEAST six more hours, please! xDDDDD Forreal tho? It feels like I'm living inside a dream and MANY times throughout the day, I feel the need to just stop what I'm doing and just be present in the moment, taking it all in.. It's absolutely mad to me that I'm able to live this sort of life right now (I get to live in SEONGSU? I get to cross the frikkin HAN RIVER EVERY DAY? Five years ago, if you had asked me if I would be interning in South Korea doing marketing, drinking iced long blacks while reaching out to content creators, and having the opportunity to be expressive in my creativity, I would have laughed so hard that I would have probably spilt my coffee all over myself. At that time, my "creative projects" mostly involved making TikToks in my bedroom... I'm very grateful to the Asia Institute Program for giving me this amazing chance to get real-world experience in my field. The application process was surprisingly straightforward, and the team always had my best interests in mind, which made everything go easily and without stress. They also helped me with the transition process, and the on-ground team has been so kind and supportive in helping us adjust to a completely new environment. Through this internship, I have learnt a lot, from designing campaign ideas to back system tasks, which has allowed me to see my ideas come to life, all while learning so much along the way. Even though I at times may fail utterly, the freedom to be creative, try new things, and grow overseas has been an experience that I did not originally have planned. Some days I feel like a marketing superstar and on other days, like an intern juggling too many tabs and having too many coffees on the go. In other words, every moment has been a chance to learn something new. Thank you so much to the AIP, for supporting us, helping us improve our skills, and giving us the opportunity of a lifetime. Overall I had a fun experience during my internship in Seoul, South Korea. The staff at AIP was very helpful and usually answered my messaged quickly. They also found me an internship fairly quickly, which was much appriciated because of my tight schedule. Another thing I liked was that AIP had arranged so that me and another intern stayed at the same accommodation, which meant we could easily work together and hang out together. My only issue was I only found out the night before my first day that my internship is fully remote. Whether that's on the host company or AIP I don't know, but it would be good to be informed about something like that during the interview process with the host company.

My experience with the Asia Internship Program had many high points, particularly through the company I was matched with. I was placed in a company that aligned with my interests and allowed me to grow through hands-on work in a supportive and communicative team. The location was convenient, and I felt genuinely cared for by my workplace during my time there. AIP provided some strong support, specifically through their on-the-ground community team, who was responsive and helpful during my stay. Their platform was easy to navigate, and after some discussion they found comfortable housing, which made the transition smoother. The availability of 24/7 support provided some peace of mind during my time abroad. That said, for me, a challenge was pre-departure communication. At times, I felt I had to chase information just to stay on track, and it wasn’t always clear what stage I was in or what was expected of me. Having a lack of information that ensured security created unnecessary stress before the internship began. During the internship, I would have appreciated more consistent community engagement, such as biweekly events or cultural outings to help interns connect with each other and their host country. While events were occasionally mentioned, during my experience, there weren’t consistent opportunities organized for interns to connect, and much of the social interaction had to be self-organized. To AIP’s credit, I did feel they genuinely cared about my experience and responded when feedback was given. With clearer communication and more structured community-building, AIP could greatly enhance an already valuable program.

Thanks to AIP, I was able to really dive into the working culture during my eight-week internship in Thailand. It gave me a much clearer idea of my options after my studies. But this internship was about so much more than work - I also got to experience Thai culture, explore the beautiful nature of northern Thailand in Chiang Mai, and meet some truly amazing and kind people. It’s an experience I’ll never forget and a step I am very grateful to have taken.

Amazing summer with professional growth, earning work experience with cultural discovery. This is my first time ever doing a travel abroad program and I choose to do so after graduating school well over 5 years. I wish they had a language program and more group events when I did my internship but it was great seeing Korea as my first ever trip to Asia. I stayed for 2 months— which I feel should have been cut down to 4-5 weeks— but I really enjoyed the k-beauty, public transit, and food. The program even offers airport drop off back home which is amazing.

I had a great experience! The AIP people are very responsive and communicative. It was nice that they periodically checked in throughout my time abroad, and the free ride from the airport made it very easy to settle in at first. I spent two months in Taipei, and it was super fun, and the people are so nice! The food is super good at the night markets and local restaurants. Beef noodle soup, deep-fried king crab legs, and Din Tai Fung are all standouts. MRT and public buses make travel around the city super easy if you dont have a private driver.

Overall Experience: Fair to Poor My m experience with AIP was significantly below expectations, primarily due to a lack of clear communication, poor logistical planning, and a questionable internship placement. While some aspects were eventually resolved, the initial and ongoing issues created a stressful and disappointing two-month stay in Singapore. Pre-Departure Communication and Planning: Poor The communication leading up to my departure was a major point of frustration. I frequently had to send multiple follow-up emails (two to three times) to my agent to get a response to my questions. This was in stark contrast to their quick response time when they needed something from me. This one-sided communication created a sense of disorganisation and left me feeling unprepared. A significant issue was the last-minute confirmation of my accommodation. I was not informed of where I would be staying until just a few days before my flight, which is an unreasonably short timeframe for a two-month international stay. Accommodation: Unacceptable One of my primary requests was to have a kitchen, as two months of eating out in a city like Singapore is expensive. I was initially told that for the first month, I would be placed in a hotel without a kitchen or a washing machine, but that my subsequent accommodation could include a kitchen. This plan was not followed. Instead, my stay at the initial hotel was simply extended, forcing me to continue paying for all my meals and laundry, which cost $16 per load. This was a significant and unexpected financial burden. Furthermore, the room itself was inadequate. It lacked a wardrobe, so I was forced to live out of my suitcase for the entire duration of my stay. My clothes were either stored in the luggage or on a rack. It became clear that the promise of a kitchen was never a real possibility. I was informed after the first month that a kitchen is only provided for stays of three months or more. This is a critical piece of information that AIP knew before my departure and should have communicated to me upfront, rather than putting me in a difficult situation I could not plan for. Internship Placement and Professional Experience: Unprofessional and Disorganised My first internship placement was with a company that was questionable. The work environment was highly unprofessional and led to me quitting just two weeks in, a sentiment shared by other interns who also left the company. We were working in a shared office space, and because the company had more than the allowed number of employees for their space, we were instructed to sneak in through a back door and were not allowed to enter as a group through the main entrance. Following this, I was left without an internship for a few weeks before being placed in a remote role. While the second company was better, working remotely from a coffee shop or my hotel room was not the immersive, international experience I had paid for. The purpose of traveling across the world for an internship is to be in a professional, in-person environment, not to be isolated and working from a personal computer. Internal Communication and Contradictory Policies: Disorganised The internal communication within AIP appears to be highly inefficient. I was assigned two separate agents: one for my internship placement and one for my accommodation and overall stay. When discussing compensation and refunds, I received contradictory information. One agent suggested that if I was not placed in a new internship, I would be eligible for a 50% refund, along with a refund for the remaining accommodation fees (which did not happen in the end as I was placed in a second internship). However, when I brought up the possibility of compensation for the high costs of daily meals and laundry, I was abruptly told that AIP never issues refunds, citing their company policy. This clear contradiction highlights a lack of internal alignment and transparency. Recommendation Based on my experience, I would be hesitant to recommend AIP. The program is poorly organised, and the communication is subpar. My trip was marred by preventable issues with accommodation and an initial unprofessional work placement. If you are considering an internship with AIP, I strongly advise you to gather all the information you need and get everything in writing before committing. Make sure all your specific needs and expectations are clearly outlined and confirmed to avoid being blindsided by unexpected and costly problems.

He was very responsive and accommodating, finding me a company I was sure to love working for. On ground I got meet Herlyn Jarder, Nisha Shahi, Tyler Beauchamp, and Daisie Jeong. They were such amazing people, who were fun, personable, and just a great time to be around. Overall, I had a very enjoyable time working with AIP and I would highly recommend it.

AIP has been a great help throughout my entire program here in Seoul, South Korea. From helping us get interviews and assisting with our placement for our internships, which Nisha personally helped with, from giving us some recommendations on things to do around Seoul. The AIP members were always there for us to give us support and help us adjust. When I got to the airport, Nisha and Herlyn were there to pick me up and help me get to the hotel. Tyler gave us a tour of the local area and made sure to build connections with us to help make us feel more comfortable. Without the AIP team here in Seoul, the adjustment to Seoul would've been a lot more difficult and daunting. This team was there for any questions and using the connections we've built, they would recommend some activities we could do, some of which I ended up doing. I had an incredible experience with AIP during my internship in South Korea. From the moment I arrived, the AIP team made the transition smooth and stress free. AIP organized my study abroad internship trip to Korea, and I had such a good experience! Nisha was very helpful in helping me interview with Korean companies and helped me troubleshoot when things didn’t go as expected. Herlyn was also very helpful in getting us settled into our accommodations, internship role and the country in general. I had such a good experience working with the team directly and experiencing the cultural excursions that they helped set up such as going to the palace and wearing traditional hanbok.

Having the AIP staff around during this trip has felt like having a reliable friend that will do their best to help when you’re in need. I’ve had some of the best times of my life during this trip and I genuinely recommend doing it with AIP if you can!

My university partnered with AIP for an intern abroad program in Seoul, South Korea. I worked with Seth Aung Winn from AIP for my internship placement, who was hard working and dedicated to finding the best company for me to intern with that aligned with my major and career goals. For the in-country portion of the program, Herlyn Jarder, Daisie Jeong, Tyler Beauchamp, Nisha Shashi were there to assist us. They took us on a local tour of our hotel area, provided us with tips and tricks on transportation, where to buy certain products, and always offered to be a buddy for any meals. They also helped in booking cultural/leisure/business excursions for us every weekend so that we can immerse ourselves into the country while we aren't interning or in our program's class, and attended these with us. A few of these included Nami Island, Alpaca World, Gyeongbokgung, Pangyo Techno Valley, and more. Herlyn and Daisie stayed with us for the entire duration of the program, and were great mentors to be with. They have offered to take our cohort members out to dinner a few times and would regularly hang out with many of the members. Overall, they have been such wonderful people to work with and have made being abroad so much fun and less stressful. I definitely recommend choosing AIP for your internship abroad!

I've had a great experience using AIP to find an internship in Singapore. As part of my university course I got to spend 4 months doing an internship overseas, and I chose AIP to help with that. I knew I wanted to do an internship in Asia but I wasn't sure how to go about it on my own, and using AIP really took off a lot of the stress that I would have had if I had had to find an internship by my self. They were very attentive and kept in regular contact. I really liked that they put me in touch with the other AIP interns in Singapore, we met up a couple of times which was really nice. So yep It's been really great and I would definitely recommend using them.

Great program!! Made my dream come true to complete an internship in Singapore in my preferred field of work Aerospace Engineering and supported me along the way, from finding an interview till the signing of the contract. Even after that they were keen to help regarding the preparations for the work abroad and also took care of me during the internship by frequently asking about my status! Really nice and friendly people as well, so 5 stars deserved for sure!

Finding an internship in a foreign country can be so difficult. However, I stumbled AIP and they seemed promising. I'm glad I decided to give it a shot, as they were able to help me out so I could go to South Korea and intern there, which is something I've always wanted. I think it would've been much harder by myself, so them having connections to different companies was just what I needed. I definitely recommend them if you feel like it may be hard to find an internship by yourself. They are very friendly and nice and will do their best to help you out and get you placed! :)

This company is a complete nightmare! They cost me thousands! I have just returned from a 6 week internship in Bangkok with this company. From start to finish, I was provided with no support. Once you pay this company, they don’t bother with you at all! I feel they are a scam! Airport pick-up means that they book you a taxi, who you need to get into contact with to meet you. There is nobody there on arrival to settle you in. I was under the impression that I would be living with other interns. This is not the case. The accommodation I had payed for was a hostel, down an alleyway. I was greeted at the ‘reception’ of the hostel by a group of men, all interested in where I was from, and how long I was staying. Although I appreciate the culture is different (I am British), and I stand out in an Asian country, this made me feel uncomfortable. I was followed up to my room by two of the men, who watched me type the code to my room. I don’t blame AIP for this situation, however the way they handled it was appalling. I sent multiple messages to my mentors, clearly upset, they were slow to respond, and didn’t seem to care (yet they were actively responding on the group chat with other interns). I did not feel safe at all staying in this accommodation, and so I left. They didn’t once offer to help me find another place to stay, in fact they didn’t even ask me where I was staying, the whole 6 weeks. They are not ‘there to look out for you’. I was given $200 refund for the hostel, which was a fraction of what I had payed them to provide me with accommodation. I then had to pay for 6 weeks in a hotel out of my own pocket. This company cost me thousands! On a positive note, the company I was interning for were amazing! The owner had told me that the previous intern had similar issues with AIP, and had also complained about them. My internship company toured me round other hotels, and also tried to reach out to AIP on my behalf, they outdid themselves with kindness, and turned my 6 weeks into an amazing experience. But having been told by my boss that the previous intern also had big issues with AIP, I really think my negative experience was not just an anomaly. They promise group dinners and activities. I was there for 6 weeks, and didn’t meet a single other intern. I was once given the contact to another intern and told to contact them myself. I was only taken out for dinner once (on my third day there) with my ‘mentors’, after writing a formal email comparing about the lack of support I had been given. I also never got a response from anybody about the email I sent whilst I was out there. I don’t have a single positive thing to say about AIP. My time in Bangkok turned out to be a great experience, and I would highly recommend interning abroad, but do not do it through AIP!

I did a 5-month internship in South Korea through AIP's traveler program, which included the internship placement, accommodation, and an airport shuttle. It was an incredible experience living in Korea, and I had a lot of fun working in social media content creation. While my internship didn’t fully match my field of study, I still gained valuable experience. The accommodation was about 40 minutes from my workplace, and I appreciated having direct contact with the landlord in case of any issues. The organisation handled the booking, which was convenient, though the overall cost reflected the convenience and support provided. That being said, for those who have never been abroad alone, it might be worth it to avoid the hassle of arranging everything yourself. AIP provided general information about the visa process, but since it was a bit unclear to me, I reached out to the German visa office for further clarification. The initial arrival process was also a bit confusing, as I wasn’t sure where to go after being dropped off at my accommodation. Thankfully, I had the contact to my internship supervisor, who responded quickly when I needed guidance. Overall, AIP checked in with me occasionally, and the process of securing an internship was much easier than applying to companies directly. I’d recommend this program to those who have the budget for it and want a smoother transition into interning abroad, especially if it's their first time traveling alone. I am super happy with the experiences I had—definitely a time I won’t forget.

I embarked on a 7-week internship in Taipei, Taiwan, in December 2024. The entire application process was smooth and easy, thanks to the assistance of AIP. I partnered with AIP through my university to undertake my first architecture internship and also my first abroad study in South Korea. The team are great and even organised airport pickup and drop-off, as well as a group dinner in Korea. I spent 6 weeks in South Korea and was able to explore many museums and areas of cultural significance as part of my internship. The interview process was pushing close before the time of flight and the non refundable deposit were a little overwhelming but other than that the interview process was smooth and you are basically guaranteed an internship so you shouldn’t really stress at all. They take great care into finding suitable host companies and accomodation to ensure you have a great experience :)

This was an overall great experience both professionally and personally, I was able to work in a corporate finance role for an interesting fintech business in Singapore and network with other finance professionals in the country, while having enough time to see the sights and enjoy the city’s culture, nightlife, and food. AIP’s staff were friendly and helpful in organising the program. The accomodation was safe and the location was decent, but it wasn’t anything fancy. However, I was here with four other students from my university, which made it even more enjoyable. However, one aspect of my stay fell short—my accommodation. Although I anticipated a comfortable living situation, the reality was disappointing. The room lacked proper maintenance, and the facilities were not up to standard, which dampened an otherwise enjoyable stay. Despite this, the overall experience was memorable and rewarding. I would recommend Singapore for its career opportunities and vibrant lifestyle, but I advise future visitors to carefully vet their accommodation to ensure a more comfortable stay.

Overall, I had a great experience both with AIP and the country itself. Before coming to Korea, all of the people at the agency were supportive and they constantly kept in touch with me. The accommodation was clean and it was located fairly close to the office. I felt very welcomed at the company, everyone was friendly and I always was treated respectfully. South Korea as a whole was a very nice country. People were respectful, the transportation was cheap and efficient, and the food was tasty.

Spent 6 weeks in Seoul, and I had no major issues with living conditions and host company. My workplace was a bit out of central Seoul and AIP was really good in finding an accommodation located in between that was close to the station and very conveniently next to 7/11 and lots of food options. AIP was also very attentive and regularly checked up on me to see if everything was going well. Really loved the host company I was sent to, a true testament of the connections AIP has. Definitely recommend.

I attended a 6 week internship in South Korea and have learned a lot from my experience. It has taught me a great deal about myself and where I want to take my career. It is a really unique country with a lot to offer. Special mention to the AIP support staff (Nisha, Kate and Herlyn, as well as Daisie). They helped me in getting the JEV vaccine while I am here. I have also managed to catch an illness herehowever they did an amazing job supporting me through the situation organising a clinic for me to go to and checking in on my health. I would have struggled greatly without this support. AIP also did a really great job finding a company that suited what I had asked for, I have gained a lot of experience from senior developers (which I had specifically requested) and feel really ready for the rest of my career. I attended a 3 month internship abroad in Japan through AIP. I can say that everything, from the registration process all the way to the end of my internship, was extremely professional. Not only was I given a personal account manager (Nisha, thank you!) that constantly kept me up to date, even with a large time difference between us in my own country and also in Japan, but I was also placed into a group chat upon arrival in Japan with 3 AlP workers continuously inquiring about my wellbeing and asking if I ever had questions or concerns. I don't want to make this review to long, but I will say that there are many, many other things that l'd like to say I was thoroughly impressed with. I couldn't recommend AlP enough if you want a great internship experience abroad. Thank you again to everyone who made my experience that much easier.

My internship in Japan was a great learning experience, but it came with its challenges. The company's culture is fantastic – everyone is friendly, approachable, and willing to help. However, the workload was often overwhelming due to understaffing in some departments, and the fast-paced environment added to the pressure. I worked closely with the IT support team, assisting with hardware and software issues, which was both exciting. Additionally, there was a language barrier, despite the supportive atmosphere, not having strong Japanese language skills made communication with colleagues and locals challenging at times. Overall, I have enjoyed my time there and am planning to work in Japan after my internship. For anyone planning to go there for an internship, I suggest having basic Japanese language skills (N3 or N4 level)to make communication easier and to fully engage with the experience.

AIP is extremely professional. Their internship placement has given me one of the best experiences in my life, with many learning opportunities and a warm host company with lifelong friendships. I initially went for 3 months but ended up extending. The people over at AIP were nothing but helpful. I had an internship in the finance sector and I had learned a lot. I think the most important takeaways I have is the knowledge I gained through this internship and the relationships built during my short time here

If you have any other way to find an internship, you should go for it. AIP did what they promised and got me an internship spot, but that's it. Especially for Vietnam, 1500$ is a horrendous price for just an internship spot (that's like 7 months of rent in Vietnam), but I didnt have any other options left. Unrelated to AIP, working and living in Vietnam is very exciting and has opened a lot of opportunities for me. My company was great and gave me a lot of room and flexibility (even though that is not the standard in Vietnam).

AIP has a partnership with my university, so I was able to apply for free. Pricing was also more competitive than at many similar programs. Also, when I had a problem getting my Work Holiday Pass for Singapore, I thought I was not going to be able to go. Luckily, my coordinator at AIP was very helpful. We were able to work out a new plan, and everything worked out fine. Just be aware that, by applying, you are agreeing to pay for the program, so make sure you know you're ready beforehand. Also, if you're going to Singapore, make sure you apply for your Work Holiday Pass multiple weeks in advance!

AIP was very helpful with my transition to South Korea. I would have struggled a bit without them as they helped me with the accommodation, airport pickup, my sim card and public transport card. When I chose Thailand as my primary destination, I knew it right away that it will be fun and full of adventure although I'm going there for my internship. AIP arranged an airport pickup for me as part of my package and the moment I went out of the airport, my driver was waving a banner with my name. I felt very welcomed. I had a wonderful time over my 2 months in Seoul - across both my work and travel experience in Korea. AIP matched me with the perfect company for my marketing internship, and I couldn't be happier with my work experience. During covid, I was having a hard time applying to companies as I needed to do my internship. I found AIP on a Facebook page and although it was difficult to trust an agency at that time, I still tried and they offered me a remote internship. I built my trust when they offered me a company that does exactly what I wanted which is software development. Although the company is based in Asia, my manager was very flexible and considerate when it comes to working hours. The projects were aligned to my course and I am very grateful for this opportunity.

During my internship, I learned practical things that will help me in my future job. I learned about using social media, advertising, marketing, creating content, analyzing data, and managing campaigns. This helped me understand more about job opportunities in business and how businesses work. The internship also taught me important skills like communication, which will be useful if I decide to pursue a career in marketing. I am very grateful to have been given this opportunity thanks to AIP who has believed in me. At Sakura House company in Tokyo I had the opportunity to enhance my work experience, being able to put my knowledge into practice, especially in the field of study of my interest. In particular, I could appreciate the internationality and hospitality at the heart of this company, which I found in many of my colleagues. Even if some issues with the organisation had occurred due to some company situations, thanks to my kind and friendly assistant Herlyn, I was able to manage everything at the end!   So, I would definitely recommend an internship of this kind here in Tokyo, and above all not to let fear of the unknown guide you, but to be guided by curiosity and the desire to open up to the world in order to grow and get to know new realities.

My internship in Spain was awesome! I learned a lot at work, and the people were super nice. Outside of work, the country is beautiful, and the food is amazing. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

I had a great time using the AIP service and had no complaints. They have takem care of me for the past 6 months during my internship and got thw oppurtunity to get to know the locals and even join the thailand's new year. The company they recommended me were also very nice to me and taught me various things. They sometimes make special events forme like cooking course, martial arts class, dinner cruise, and thai massage reservations. I would recommend for anyome who wants to explore Thailand and have a great time there. Also make sure to try out the street food in thailand.

I completed a 1 month business development internship in Singapore, and had an amazing time during my stay. AIP helped me find a great company, and really enjoyed my time at work. AIP also found my accommodation in Singapore, situated very central, and helped me with any documents that I needed for my trip. They were also in contact with me during my stay and asked how everything was going. I would really recommend coming to Singapore, it’s such an incredible city, and I am very grateful that AIP helped me with his amazing opportunity.

I am really interested in aviation maintenance studies specifically airframe and power plant training which will equip me skills to compete on the job market in my country I will be grateful once am given a chance

I did a 6 month long internship via AIP to South Korea and it was amazing! I got to learn a lot via my internship company, i couldn’t have found it without AIP. Their support throughout my whole stay was also good, they checked up on me a lot and made sure i was doing okay. It was a good experience and i am very grateful!

Considering that I was travelling alone for the first time, it was a huge relief to have AIP guide me all throughout the process. They made sure that I am connected to other interns and met them in person. This entire internship experience gave me the opportunity to not only get outside my comfort zone, but also to introduce myself to another culture, learn about what I am passionate about, and prepare myself for my future career.
