Internships in Koh Tao, Thailand

I had so much fun doing the Eco Internship in Koh Tao. I’m very grateful for Gapforce’s support before my trip and also very grateful for the support we had on site by the lovely dive instructors and especially Matt. Everyone was really looking out for us which made for a lovely atmosphere.

I enjoyed the diving the most as I got to improve my diving skills and contribute towards research. I loved everything I learned about. This internship gave me a lot of skills that will go toward a future career and professional development. I grew a lot personally experiencing a new culture abroad for the first time.

What I enjoyed most about the Marine Conservation internship in Thailand was the immersive experience in marine research and diving, facilitated by excellent program leaders who fostered a safe and supportive environment. This environment not only allowed me to expand my diving skills and engage with the host organization's community but also provided invaluable insights into global reef implementations. Personally, the program helped me gain clarity on my career path, affirming my passion for marine research and conservation. Professionally, it equipped me with practical skills and knowledge that are crucial for future research opportunities. Moving forward, I am eager to continue expanding my diving proficiency and plan to return to the program next year to further contribute to global reef initiatives.
