Health Sciences Internship in Chiang Mai, Thailand

Make a lasting impact in your life and the lives of others during this internship abroad. The placement is at a state-sponsored health clinic in a rural area in Chiang Mai. For 4-12 weeks, you’ll work with other international interns and volunteers as well as community members. The program offers an in-depth look into various health issues facing local communities across the region. You will help people take better care of themselves and their families through education on the mitigation and prevention of communicable and non-communicable diseases. Your role primarily involves shadowing healthcare professionals, but you could also run basic diagnostic tests and join educational health campaigns. This Health Sciences Internship in Thailand exposes you to a developing public healthcare system at work. At the same time, it fosters the development of pre-medicine, community outreach, and communication skills.

Thailand - Elephant Forest Refuge

Volunteer in Chiang Rai at the Elephant Forest Refuge to improve the lives of the freely roaming elephants living there. This refuge has 40 acres of bamboo forests, grassland, and swamp. Volunteers on this project take part in ethical tasks that are solely for the benefit of the elephants. Volunteers will be planting and cutting elephant grass and fruit trees, may participate in weekly vet checks, feed the elephants. partake in observation tasks and engage in light construction work of the refuge itself.
