- Cost of living - Many internships in Switzerland are paid, with working hours reflecting typical professional schedules. Be mindful that the cost of living is high.

September 27, 2023by: Celine Rivera - United StatesProgram: Join Atlantis: Pre-Health Shadowing 60+ Hours w/ Top Doctors
I attended an Atlantis program in Valladolid, Spain in July of 2019! I absolutely loved the program because I got to travel, meet new people, watch surgeries and consultations, explore multiple cities of Spain and experience the culture, get shadowing hours (which is required by a lot of the grad schools I’m applying to), and so much more! Now, 4 years later I am still benefiting from the program because I get to talk about it in my PA school applications and interviews! I would recommend this program to any pre health student because it’s a great way to get a feel for medicine and different specialties, study abroad, and make great connections!
Best training program out there
August 20, 2023by: Omri Raor Baratz - IsraelProgram: Winter Gap Year - Become a Ski or Snowboard Instructor!
I did the EA level 1 and 2 program in NZ last year and it was amazing. The EA crew did everything they could to make sure our time in NZ will be the best they possibly could, the accommodation was really good, they made a lot of efforts to make us feel welcome and have fun and we had a lot of activities outside of training. Training wise, the course was amazing, we had small groups with the best instructors the mountain had to offer, and the program his built to make sure you'll pass your exam, it focuses on the riding skills and also the teaching and analyzing skills you need to pass the exams. I highly recommend to everyone that wants to pass the instructor exams or just have fun and get better in snowboarding on taking the EA program
Hey Omri, we loved having you join us in New Zealand. Thank you so much for recommending the program and congratulations on your achievements! -The EA Team

My Atlantis experience in Genoa was a transformative chapter that seamlessly intertwined academic exploration, cultural immersion, and personal growth. Through shadowing medical professionals, I gained invaluable insights into the intricacies of healthcare, fostering a deeper understanding of my future role as a speech language pathologist. Beyond the hospital, the city itself became my classroom, teaching me the art of cultural adaptability and offering a profound appreciation for diversity. The guidance of our dedicated city manager, coupled with Atlantis' comprehensive support, ensured that every facet of the program was seamlessly orchestrated, allowing me to focus on extracting the utmost value from each moment. From indulging in delectable local cuisine to forming lasting bonds with peers from around the globe, every interaction contributed to a profound sense of cultural humility and camaraderie. In retrospect, this experience has not only reinforced my passion for the medical field but also imparted life lessons that extend beyond textbooks. As I embark on the next phase of my journey, I carry with me a global perspective, an open heart, and the confidence to navigate the intricate tapestry of healthcare and human connection.

Clinical fellowship in Athens, Greece
October 17, 2022by: Alexander Hundley - United StatesProgram: Join Atlantis: Pre-Health Shadowing 60+ Hours w/ Top Doctors
I completed 80 AAMC-compliant physician shadowing hours through the Atlantis Clinical Fellowship at Gennimatas General Hospital in Athens, Greece. My experience shadowing physicians in Athens, Greece, at Gennimatas Hospital was invaluable and gave me a fundamental understanding of what I hope to specialize in as a future physician. Through this experience, I not only embraced the ethical responsibility of learning from doctors through observation but also gained exposure to global healthcare. I learned how to overcome cultural communication barriers in my interactions with clinicians and recognized the subtle peculiarities of a foreign hospital. I built upon my critical thinking skills and utilized scientific inquiry as I followed along with surgical procedures and witnessed each unique doctor-patient interaction. This experience is a staple of my pre-med journey. From my clinical fellowship, I know that medicine is the only career path I desire.

August 28, 2018by: Avery Triesch - United StatesThis summer I worked as a hospitality management intern for Forum Nexus and it was the most rewarding experience of my life. I was able to visit so many amazing cities while learning about different hospitality practices around the world. I was able to meet so many amazing hotel representatives and learn about why they chose to pursue a career in hospitality. Each and everyone of them were inspiring and motivating. I learned so much about myself and what I want to do with my future. Experience of a lifetime
October 17, 2016by: Cole Fortson - United StatesI was an intern for Forum-Nexus Study Abroad, and initially, I wasn't sure what to expect. I have heard of other people's experiences from studying abroad and all of them were positive, but I wasn't sure how I would handle being that far away from home. After spending a month in Europe with this program, I consider everyone involved part of my family. This was a once in a lifetime experience and I have Forum-Nexus to thank for that. This program is one of a kind. Forum-Nexus' uniqueness is what makes it incomparable to other study abroad experiences. I highly recommend anyone who is considering studying abroad to apply to FN. You will not regret it!

Having become both the student and intern in Forum-Nexus Summer 2014 Program, I've jumped in the atmosphere of amazing experience, priceless knowledge, breathtaking emotions and lifelong friendship. After the chain of all pity events in Ukraine, our wonderful trip was the ray of sunshine for me. I gained a lot of cognitive knowledge from our highly qualified professors and learned a bunch of practical know-hows during most interesting professional visits. The International IQ classes taught by the program director , professor Hugo Hervitz(one of the coolest people I've ever met), not only boosted my IQ but inspired me for further constant exploring of the world and its cultures. I fell in love with every single place we've visited with Forum-Nexus family and every moment we've lived together. This program brought me lifelong happiness!
