Real Estate Internships in Spain

The entire internship abroad experience was great! The Beyond Academy coordinators did a great job organizing activities that allowed us to experience the must-see parts of Barcelona, while also providing great recommendations for places to eat, explore, and navigate the city. I also really appreciated the wide variety of internship fields available. Overall, it was a great way to gain international work experience while experiencing life in Barcelona!

My experience with the Absolute Internship abroad program was incredibly valuable and memorable. Spending 6 weeks in Madrid, Spain, allowed me to gain professional experience while also experiencing a new culture, work environment, and a new sense of independence. One of the highlights of the program was the opportunity to work at Asesoria Debe Haber Asociaciones, where I was able to develop skills in establishing new nonprofit national or local organizations by working on founding their board or statutes. The internship gave me a better understanding of my career interests and allowed me to apply what I have learned in school to a real-world environment while also educating myself on how this country's system differs from that of mine and learning how this can help me build upon my current professional knowledge. Outside of work, living in Madrid allowed me to explore new places, meet people from different backgrounds, and experience the local culture. The program staff was extremely supportive and helpful, making the transition to living abroad much easier. Although there were some challenges, such as adjusting to a new environment and working for the first time at a location that aligns with my professional goals, along with a slight language barrier, these experiences helped me grow personally and professionally. Overall, I would highly recommend this program to other students considering an internship abroad. It provided me with meaningful professional experience, unforgettable memories, and a greater sense of confidence and independence.

Throughout my 2 months living and working in Madrid, I absolutely fell in love with the city. The culture, food, social scene, and environment was unmatched. Thanks to Absolute, I met some of my best friends while abroad. I am so lucky to have found such an amazing group of people to share this experience with including our program coordinators who were the BEST. On top of my actual internship which gave me so many great connections, I truly built a life in Madrid during my time there. This summer has been the best of my life, I gained so many friendships, learned so much about myself, and experienced places and memories that will last a lifetime.

The internship experience in Barcelona was absolutely amazing both in the office and out of the office. Our local host Isabel was amazing when getting us acclimated to the city, as well as providing reccomendations and ensuring our safety. On top of that, her community events that she planned for our group were so much fun whether it was a day trip to the beach, going to dinner, or attractions like park guell. The internship on the other hand was a great work experience, and I learned so much about working abroad.

The program itself was amazing. I had a great placement. Work life is very fun and chill, but also enough work where I was learning a great amount. The program has a ton of opportunities to get together and do cool trips, but it also gives you the free freedom to travel. The two coordinators were awesome. Honestly made us feel so comfortable being in Barcelona.

I couldn’t have asked for a better program to join. Everyone was so amazing and our program leaders were the absolute best and the events were extremely fun. I was placed in the best internship I could have asked for.

I had an amazing time doing the 8-week program with Absolute Internship. I had the opportunity to travel to three different countries during my program and got to explore all over Spain. I met amazing people and I am very grateful for the experience and memories made throughout this internship.

I had such a wonderful experience working at a Whiskey Distillery in Dublin. The staff were all so genuinely nice and made me feel right at home. Rotating through the cafe, reception, and the back bar allowed me to understand all the different phases of a working distillery, and meeting the bosses was a great addition to the program. Dublin attracts so much tourism, I really enjoyed meeting so many different people from all over the world at my work. It felt like a true mix of diversity, which allowed me to learn so many unique things from everyone I encountered. I was also incredibly glad to use my Mandarin skills to help out. On my days off, I had the best time exploring Dublin, traveling around Ireland, and adventuring into other European countries. It was a beautiful journey both professionally and personally!

My time in Madrid was the best three months of my life; I learned so much about myself and was able to meet a bunch of new people. I loved how easygoing Madrid was, from the transportation to how nice the people were. I was able to experience the Madrid culture and try new foods. It took a little bit to get used to the 9-hour time difference and the late dinners. I also loved how easy it was to travel around Europe because Madrid has easy access to trains and flights. Lastly, I had the best roommates and made lifelong memories. The Intern Group was extremely helpful throughout the entire process. More specifically, Lalita and Corinne were so helpful while being in Madrid. Anytime I had a question, they were able to answer it very quickly. Also, getting to be in a group with other interns made the experience a lot easier because we were able to connect and relate to each other's experiences. I was able to make lifelong friends with some of the people in the group. The Bubble (the company that I worked with) made it very welcoming and allowed me to ask any questions that I was unsure about. They gave me many hands-on tasks, which I am grateful for because I gained a lot of experience. Overall, Madrid makes it extremely easy to adapt to and is a great place to do an internship. There is always something to do, and you will 100% make lifelong memories and friendships.

interned at the a private hospital in the operating room, where I observed the anesthesiologists and surgeons. This experience helped me gain a lot of insight in the healthcare system is like in a different country. I spent two months in Buenos Aires and it was wonderful with weekly events on the weekends coordinated by Brenda and Maru. Thanks to Connect-123 I was able to strengthen education and gain real life experience that will help me with my future profession.

Joining The Intern Group's architecture internship program in Madrid, Spain was one of the best decisions I've ever made. What started as an opportunity to gain international work experience became a journey of personal growth, cultural immersion, and lifelong memories. During my internship, I worked in a professional architecture firm where I was exposed to real-world projects, collaborated with experienced architects, and learned how design practices differ in an international setting. The accommodation was clean, safe, and conveniently located near public transportation, making it easy to commute to work and explore the city. Madrid itself is vibrant, walkable, and rich in history, and I loved spending weekends visiting museums, parks, cafés, and nearby cities. The Intern Group also organized social events that made it easy to connect with interns from all over the world, many of whom I still keep in touch with today. One thing I appreciated most was how this experience pushed me outside my comfort zone. Moving to another country, navigating daily life in a different language, and balancing work with travel helped me become more independent, resilient, and confident. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to provide even more structured networking opportunities or career development workshops tailored to different industries. That said, the overall support from The Intern Group was excellent, and I always felt that there was someone I could reach out to whenever I needed assistance. I had a great experience with AIP Study Abroad Internships, especially because of how kind and helpful the staff was throughout the entire process. From the beginning, everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly, responsive, and genuinely wanted to make sure I had a good experience abroad. Whenever I had a question or needed help with something, the AIP team was always easy to reach and willing to help. Spending time in Madrid as part of a marketing placement was one of the best experiences I've had. Connect-123 did an amazing job connecting me with an internship company that was similar to my interests. During my remote internship that was based out of Cape Town, I felt valued and that I played an important role in helping and shaping my clients and my company's future. My supervisor and his personal assistant were super kind, understanding, positive, and respectful towards me, and I felt very appreciated by them. I have had an amazing experience interning abroad in Barcelona. It was wonderful to see how passionate those at the non-profit I worked in were in regards to giving kids at the Casal a summer full of fun memories and connections. I got to learn so much from the kids I worked with and got to learn more about myself. Additionally, everyone from my host site to those in connect-123 were always really supportive throughout my time here, so not once did I feel afraid of being in another country so far from home for the first time!!
