Intern in Madrid with Absolute Internship

My experience with the Absolute Internship abroad program was incredibly valuable and memorable. Spending 6 weeks in Madrid, Spain, allowed me to gain professional experience while also experiencing a new culture, work environment, and a new sense of independence. One of the highlights of the program was the opportunity to work at Asesoria Debe Haber Asociaciones, where I was able to develop skills in establishing new nonprofit national or local organizations by working on founding their board or statutes. The internship gave me a better understanding of my career interests and allowed me to apply what I have learned in school to a real-world environment while also educating myself on how this country's system differs from that of mine and learning how this can help me build upon my current professional knowledge. Outside of work, living in Madrid allowed me to explore new places, meet people from different backgrounds, and experience the local culture. The program staff was extremely supportive and helpful, making the transition to living abroad much easier. Although there were some challenges, such as adjusting to a new environment and working for the first time at a location that aligns with my professional goals, along with a slight language barrier, these experiences helped me grow personally and professionally. Overall, I would highly recommend this program to other students considering an internship abroad. It provided me with meaningful professional experience, unforgettable memories, and a greater sense of confidence and independence.

Throughout my 2 months living and working in Madrid, I absolutely fell in love with the city. The culture, food, social scene, and environment was unmatched. Thanks to Absolute, I met some of my best friends while abroad. I am so lucky to have found such an amazing group of people to share this experience with including our program coordinators who were the BEST. On top of my actual internship which gave me so many great connections, I truly built a life in Madrid during my time there. This summer has been the best of my life, I gained so many friendships, learned so much about myself, and experienced places and memories that will last a lifetime.

Absolute Internship did a great job at organizing events and dinners, that way people in the program was able to meet new people and get to talk to everyone in the program. The community support system organized by absolute also did a good job at always taking care of student's needs.

My internship at Corzo de Dios was an extremely rewarding experience, providing valuable insight into contemporary practise in Madrid alongside broader insight into European trends. The work provided was engaging and helpful in developing my modelling & visualisation skills; the firm was also very welcoming!

My experience with Absolute Internship was phenomenal. The support before, during and after my experience was more than I could have ever planned on. I was provided the opportunity to intern at a company in my field of study, marketing, and preferred industry, fashion! I learned valuable hands on professional skills while growing personal skills. My internship in Madrid was such a transformative experience. I studied International Relations & Global Studies in undergrad and worked at a local non-profit organization in Madrid that supports those who have been displaced due to economical crisis, addiction, or other causes. Working here helped me grow as a young professional while also getting to make meaningful change in people's lives. Additionally, I made some of the greatest friendships and memories through my internship at Absolute while also getting to travel around Spain!

Madrid was such a great place to study. Madrid is very big so there's a lot of different things to do. From parks, great food, people, fun clubs, and things to see. I had my own room with a gym in the basement, so I really coudnt have asked for better housing. I also was able to travel around Spain alot, for fairly cheap. Overall unforgettable trip The places I would recommend are Tiki Taco, the Reina Sofía, El Retiro Park, a tour of Real Madrid stadium, Wow Hall, Icon, El Capital, Divorare sandwiches, any rooftop bar, brutal bar, and Tierra Burrito Bar. Also Zara, has such good prices and catalogs. 10x better than American Zaras

The whole placement process was very stressful sincr the provider had many problems finding the right company for me, but in the end it was such a great experience. Madrid is a beautiful city, full of history and art but fun at the sime time.
