Marine Scientist Training Costa Rica

Based at a PADI Platinum dive center on the beautiful Pacific coast of Costa Rica, this 4 or 10-week course trains you as a professional PADI Divemaster. Alongside your professional qualifications, you will gain skills and knowledge performing marine science research using underwater survey and data collection techniques. Your work contributes to the upkeep of scientific records, which help monitor the health of our oceans. You will emerge from the course with hands-on experience in marine research to back up your top-level scuba certifications.

Short-Term Community Development Internship in Costa Rica

Join us in Costa Rica and participate in various community development projects in the town of Quepos. Get involved in construction projects ranging from fixing up educational centers to helping plant vegetables in community gardens. Assist with educational activities aimed at improving English classes and after-school activities. In addition to daily service work, receive skill-based training and mentorship in order to enhance your career-based skills and increase employability. Program: Short-Term Community Development Internship in Costa Rica

My experience in Cartago was amazing from start to finish, Andres and Sara were incredibly helpful and supportive along the way. Coming to Costa Rica, I wanted to experience the culture to the fullest, so I really enjoyed the encouragement to speak Spanish with their implementation of Spanish dinner every Wednesday, and I will be eternally grateful to them for teaching me my new favourite card game, Cambio. I appreciate the teachers at the school as well being so welcoming to outsiders, and the same goes for the gardeners at Parque de Libertad. Thanks everyone!!!

Program: Short-Term Community Development Internship in Costa Rica

Spending the last 3 months at GVI Cartago has been one of the best experiences of my life, and I will never forget it. Everyone that I have met here have become like my family, and I cannot be happier that I had such a good experience. Andrés and Sara have been incredible program and education managers from the very first day, and GVI is so lucky to have such an amazing pair leading this project. They are truly what has made my time here so great. I have loved every part of the project, and every single day has been so fulfilling. It's hard to have a bad day here, especially because our home environment and the friendships between volunteers, and Andrés and Sara, have become so strong. Leaving is one of the most difficult things that I've had to do, and I hope that I'll be able to come back soon.
