Internships in Chile - Adelante Abroad

In Chile, Adelante Abroad offers programs in Vina del Mar and Valparaiso—two major, bustling Chilean cities, each having a unique atmosphere. Vina del Mar is often called the "Garden City" due to the surrounding large parks and green areas. Chileans have dubbed this city the ideal commune to live and work. Valparaiso has gone by the monikers of "Little San Francisco" and "The Jewel of the Pacific" due to its historical significance as one of the most important seaports of the South Pacific region. Our programs in Chile will give you valuable, professional experience in your desired field. We offer a vast number of internship sectors with custom placements available as well. Some internship sectors include Engineering, Medical, Arts, Graphic Design, Information Technology, and more. One of our internships that genuinely stands out is the winery internship, only available in Chile. Winery internships give candidates a unique opportunity to learn the wine-making process firsthand. All of Adelante Abroad's internships in Chile are year-round, starting the first Monday of every month and range from 2 months or longer. Visit the Adelante Abroad website to learn more.

API: Experience Valparaíso, Chile (Scholarships Available)

Built upon dozens of steep hillsides overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Valparaíso boasts a labyrinth of streets and cobblestone alleyways, embodying a rich architectural and cultural legacy. Nicknamed “The Jewel of the Pacific,” it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site because of its improvised urban design and unique architecture. Founded in 1536, Valparaíso is one of Chile’s most important ports and the third-largest city. Valparaíso remains a source of inspiration for artists of all types, including the well-known Chilean poet Pablo Neruda. Students can visit Neruda’s seaside home in Valparaíso, and the Chilean Congress. Offering strikingly beautiful views from the top of its numerous hills, it is reminiscent of San Francisco. Valpo, in short, the city is where students can amble away an afternoon exploring its steep and winding streets, which are peppered with colorful houses, and admire the sparkling Pacific Ocean below. It is only a two-hour bus ride from Santiago, Chile’s capital city.

Summer in Madrid

August 05, 2025by: Alex Carlton - United StatesProgram: Spring and Summer Internships in Spain and Latin America
9

Having studied in Madrid the previous semester I really wanted to come back and have a different type of work experience during the summer. I enjoyed the laid back environment of my internship with Fundación Tríangulo yet I gained valuable insight about public health and sexual health in Spain, among many other skills which will benefit my future career/studies. I did enjoy the centrality of our apartment but it was quite small, I know this is normal for Madrid, but I we did not exactly have private living spaces. I really love Madrid and the availability of outdoor activities, shopping, diverse food choices, the kind people, nightlife, and much more. It will stay in my heart forever, the memories, friends, education and work experience, and I hope to return soon.
