High School Outdoor Education Programs in Paris

Our approach is rooted in the classic backpacker strategy—get a rail pass, explore cities with various daily choices, and leave ourselves open to the spontaneous possibilities that every day brings. Our Older Teens trips are specially designed with older teens in mind. They are all about a hands-on approach to travel where we go beyond the casual tourist experience, take public transportation, and learn how life is in each place we visit. They provide a unique and carefully crafted itinerary that allows for more challenges and independence. We encourage teens on these trips to learn how to use a Eurail pass along with other handy travel skills so that they become confident and able to take on even more of the world in the future! This is one of our most popular Older Teens trips and combines a great mixture of classic European cities, mountain adventure, and Mediterranean beaches. Those looking to discover a nice mix of European cultures will love experiencing the best Italy, Switzerland, and France has to offer.

Immerse yourself in the French language as you journey through six distinct regions of France—each with its own identity, landscape, and history. Begin in a small Breton fishing village and experience daily life in the countryside, then explore Paris, the cultural capital of the world. Strengthen your language skills through hands-on interactions: shop in open-air markets, interview local artisans, and learn from chefs, historians, and outdoor guides. Live with a host family and gain real insight into everyday customs and conversations. Swim in the Mediterranean, hike in the Alps, and wander medieval streets in Provence. Return home with stronger French, greater confidence, and a deeper connection to France’s rich regional diversity.

All departures on this itinerary are ON TOUR travel programs. They are specially designed for high schoolers completing 11th or 12th grades. By focusing on the needs of older teenagers, the activities on this trip are chosen with the independent nature and maturity of a young adult in mind. Our fantastic summer program leaders are experts at creating a tight-knit, inclusive family. This 20-day program ends in Rome, Italy. This "city of lights" is filled with so many opportunities to visit famous monuments and landmarks, royal palaces, the lavish parks, endless wide avenues, ancient fortresses, world famous galleries – there is so much to see and do in the French capital. Discover Paris this summer and study with international students from around the world. Located in Issy les Moulineaux (bordering the 15th Arrondissement) in a modern campus close to the Exhibition Park of Porte de Versailles, the school is near the Corentin Celton underground station. This is a highly supervised vacation and teens will not be permitted to roam the city on their own.
