Undergraduate Degrees in Physical Therapy

I just finished my first semester abroad in Korea at Kookmin University and it was everything I had hoped for and more. I made a lot of amazing friends, have traveled all over the country, and have immersed myself fully in Korean culture. Everything has been amazing and I’m looking forward to my second semester here. I would encourage anyone considering this program to go for it. It’s a once in a lifetime experience that you’ll never get again, and mine was unforgettable.

The MAIS program at DCU offers a broad, interdisciplinary study of all things intercultural. Many of the core courses are theory based. You have a choice of electives in departments ranging from Film Studies and Literature to Politics and Linguistics. At times, because of the nature of this interdisciplinary field, the course requirements feel scattered and not the most cohesive. The final semester is spent honing in on your research topic and brainstorming with your thesis advisor, before research and writing during the summer semester. Overall, this course is a great choice if your primary objective for grad school is academics based, but probably not the best choice if you are looking for practical work experience in the intercultural field. Perhaps an internship component of this program would solve that problem...
