Why Moving Abroad to UNYP Was Totally Worth It
March 19, 2026by: Laura Holičová - SlovakiaProgram: Bachelor of Communication & Media
I came to UNYP wondering if I would even make friends, but the community here exceeded all my expectations – by the first week I already had people I still hang out with regularly. Starting my 4th year in Communication & Media, I’m so glad I made the decision to move abroad and try studying somewhere completely different. The teachers and staff are incredibly supportive and approachable, treating you like an adult and encouraging open discussions where you can share your opinions, even if they differ from others. The courses are engaging and interactive, giving plenty of opportunities to develop practical skills. Beyond academics, there are numerous clubs, activities, and events that make campus life lively and fun.
Wonderful experience!!
September 29, 2025by: Fernanda Tello de Meneses Garduño - MexicoProgram: Bachelor of Psychology
The teachers, the campus, the people, the psychology courses, the city, everything has been an amazing experience, definetly the time of my life! Specifically the Bachelor of Psychology it is fun, courses are beyond interesting and schedules are very efficient.

Great place to meet interesting and important people
September 17, 2025by: A S - Czech RepublicUNYP is very welcoming and supportive of students; it is not only a safe environment but also a great area to share your ideas and converse on intelectual matters. The homework is vast but informative and all organised to act as a consistent study system for future exams.
Very good experience this past week.
September 15, 2025by: Midya Mahmoud Ali Agha - SyriaProgram: Bachelor of Psychology
Even though I missed the orientation week due to travel issues, I felt welcomed on my first day of studies and met a lot of great people. The instructors are great and very helpful and supportive. The campus is in a nice area in Prague and easy to navigate.
Four years of media studies
September 09, 2024by: Nikol Hejduková - Czech RepublicProgram: Bachelor of Communication & Media
The school offers a diverse and dynamic learning environment, perfect for students in the Communication and Media program. The campus offers modern facilities and plenty of comfortable spaces for studying and socializing. There are many student clubs and activities, providing lots of opportunities to get involved and meet new people. The professors are knowledgeable and approachable, and the international setting adds a unique cultural perspective. Overall, it's a welcoming and vibrant place to develop both academic and practical skills in media.
Unyp life, good life
September 09, 2024by: Karin Stupeňová - SlovakiaProgram: Bachelor of Psychology
Nee york university in Pragur is a great university with many options. Drudents are provided plenty events throughout the semester that provides opportunities for students to meet new people, culture and get to know the city better
The best decision I've made so far.

Met interesting people
August 29, 2024by: Anna Bořková - Czech RepublicProgram: Bachelor of Psychology
At UNYP I found some people that became my friends. Especially regarding the psychology bachelor's degree, I find that the people were most of the times, very outgoing, warm and welcoming. There are a few exceptional professors at UNYP who make learning about psychology fun and engaging. One more reason to join there class. There is a wide variety of courses to choose from, but one has to be careful with statistics, and some other courses, because those are sometimes taught by professors that do not have a background in psychology. Also the financial strain is a bit larger, so it is important to keep that in mind. On the other hand, UNYP has a plenty of options of going abroad on the Erasmus programme, and I must say, that the Erasmus programme in Spain, Madrid, was a total blast. In other words, if you would like to meet interesting people on this degree, this is the place for you (just beware of the exam week - all exams happen during the last week of the semester and it is not a fun experience).
Very difficult but wonderful
August 09, 2024by: Nicole Ivanchin - IsraelProgram: Bachelor of Psychology
Price of uni, housing, and not understandable health care. Those are incredibly hard. The studies are interesting and Czech Republic is wonderful. I don't regret it, but it's difficult, especially when you do everything alone, and try to work and study just to afford a better life
The best 4 years of my life
August 09, 2024by: Chiara Jurkovičová - SlovakiaProgram: Bachelor of Communication & Media
UNYP truly was the best choice I could have made for my studies. I never thought I could enjoy school so much, yet I walked in that building with a smile on my face each day. It was the professors, my classmates who became my closest friends, the environment, everything. UNYP was everything. I will always remember it as the happiest and best 4 years of my life.
Experience that you will not regret
March 19, 2020by: Viktória Soročinová - SlovakiaProgram: Economics and Public Policy (EPP)
I’m recently a student of the program Economics and Public Policy (EPP). The main reason why I’m currently studying EPP is that I already had an experience with its Bachelor’s version- Economics (ECON). EPP is offering a large scale of the subjects, which is making the whole study attractive. Several courses are thought only for our group. Individual approach of teachers is perfect because you don’t have to hesitate to ask any questions and you can easily find all necessary answers almost immediately. Combination of advanced level of microeconomics and macroeconomics as well as courses like Behavioural Finance, Competition Policy and Regulation or even Economics and Psychology and Drugs in Economics showing the field of economics in many different ways. The University of Economics and mainly EPP is a very good option for everyone whose priority is highly ranked university and international environment that can provide you a valuable experience and a strong sense of responsibility. These are just a few reasons why I would highly recommend studying this program.
What are you waiting for?
March 19, 2020by: Koen Durlinger - NetherlandsProgram: Master in International and Diplomatic Studies (IDS)
The IDS program from VSE in Prague was ideal for me because of several reasons: 1. The degree itself managed to merge political science with economic policy, which has my particular interest. A combination like this makes it challenging to construct a though trough argument in the different papers you need to write, as well as interesting as the teachers provide sufficient guidance towards new perspectives. 2. The city of Prague. Whether it's the tough love from the Czech inhabitants, the vibrant cosmopolitan scene combined with a very traditional outlook, or the exploration of the city during the weekends: Prague is a one in a million and I miss it every day. 3. The full degree abroad. Although internships and short-term studies helped me gather my experience abroad, this was different. It felt like home, it felt way better at times and way worse at others. I felt the pride of being a resident of Prague and a student of IDS. Needless to say, that this is the reason that I'm writing this. So, what are you waiting for? I could name 50 more reasons if you’re willing to listen. But it’s better to experience it yourself!

Highly recommended
March 19, 2020by: Samuel Ryckenberg - SwedenI would definitely recommend my program to others. There are two main reasons for this. The first reason is that I had two amazing years that I really enjoyed. I really enjoyed the time that I spent both in school and outside school. All the classes are good which keeps you motivated and the program is well structured so that you know what to expect. The second reason is that when you graduate you have really good chances of landing a good and highly paid job. I had success in working in Sweden within accounting and the Czech Republic within finance after I graduated.
I’ve started something I didn’t know I wanted!
March 18, 2020by: Thu Giang Hoang - VietnamI’ve studied here with minor specialisation in Insurance Mathematics and while it was challenging it opened a door for me to enter the actuary world, where I didn’t know existed before starting the degree. Many courses are not satisfactory and do not seem to related to my degree, but few excellent courses along with the teachers here make up for that. If I had to choose again I would 100% choose VSE.
Experience that you will never regret
March 18, 2020by: Viktória Soročinová - SlovakiaThere are many reasons why I applied for this program and even more of them why I would highly recommend studying it. Firstly, ECON Bachelor’s program is the base for EPP Master’s program and it will prepare you very well for all the courses that you will be studying during your master’s degree if you will decide to continue in the field of economics. Combination of microeconomics and macroeconomics, introduction to law, psychology or game theory, as well as several courses focused on the history and the European Union is really great for everyone who wants to have an overview from almost every sphere of life. Secondly, Prague is a perfect option if your preference is highly ranked university in the heart of Europe. A cosmopolitan city, which you can constantly explore, a mix of classmates from almost every single part of the world, working in varied teams and dealing with different cultures was totally amazing experience for me, which I will never regret. The last but definitely not least, the University of Economics and especially my ECON program provided me an introduction to the world of economics and thought me not only how to think outside the box but also to have a strong sense of responsibility and self-sufficiency.
Economics Bachelor in Prague
March 18, 2020by: Artem Fedorov - RussiaI had an amazing opportunity to do my bachelor studies at the University of Economics, Prague with the major of economics. I can confidently say that throughout these three years I have drastically developed critical thinking, analytical and communication skills. International exposure and challenging, yet interesting courses gave me new perspective on ordinary things and shed light on the sophisticated academic theories. So far moving to Prague and selecting VSE was the most prominent and compelling decision in my life. I do not intend to create a perfect imagery of this school and particular program: I highly urge every candidate to evaluate this program in a context of other similar programs across different countries, compare university rankings, etc. Yes, there have been pitfalls along the way, confusion moment with administration matters and ambiguous teaching moments, but for me personally benefits and possibilities provided by this degree out weight any difficulties. If you doubt - think twice, but if you were getting more and more pumped while reading this - then go for it and have the best moments of your life in the very heart of Europe!
Strong foundation stone to a long journey
March 17, 2020by: Dhiraj Kapur - IndiaStudying IBB at the University of Economics is a rich experience. You get to meet a lot of students across globe, all studying under one roof. The university and program itself has a lot of external and internal options that a student can pursue while focusing mainly on academics. Some of the options include student clubs, think-tanks, ambassadorship, PR, etc. I was personally involved in MUN, where we organized a conference hosting 200+ delegates. Moreover, we helped shooting the faculty promotional video (link attached). The extensive options are designed in such a way that students grows throughout curriculum. The program itself focuses on international relations, and how international relations impacts oneself. Moreover, the program has to offer extensive exchange abroad, having agreements with some of the big names. Going abroad, making friends, understanding different culture while paying tution at VSE is a game changer. I would highly recommend IBB program to any young potential who wants to get out of the den and start a journey to explore the globe.

Enjoyed every second of it!
March 09, 2020by: Václav P - Czech RepublicProgram: International Business - Central European Business Realities
If you consider to apply for the IB program at VSE then stop considering and just do it. You will definitely not regret it. I decided to study this program mainly due to the strong international focus of the studies and the double degree possibility (option to spend one year abroad at a partner university and to receive a Master's Degree from it). What I appreciated the most was that there was only around 40 other students (from all around the world) which meant the classes in general were more personal and interactive. You study a regular scope of subjects you would expect from an international study program, nevertheless the smaller group of students made the classes more interesting and I think that both the teachers and students were therefore really engaged in the whole study process. To summarize it: I had a great time studying subjects which I never expected to enjoy, learn a lot (hopefully), met and became friends with people from places all around the world and got headhunted by a german automotive company prior to finishing my studies. On the other side, prepare to spend a lot of your free time studying as the program is definitely challenging and you will not get the degree for free.
Great mix of professional opportunities and travel
March 06, 2020by: Danica Cortez - United StatesThe programs at VSE are really great - I feel like they give you a great balance of theoretical knowledge and practical knowledge. I know that what I am learning will be able to be applied in the future in my professional life. With regards to social life, Prague has so many international students and workers I'm constantly meeting new people from all around the world.
Amazing city to start your adulthood!
March 05, 2020by: Patrycja Gawlak - PolandCzech Republic, and Prague specifically is a great place to start your experience as a young adult. You get to look for the new flat yourself, paying all the bills, doing the groceries and managing your budget (here you get paid on monthly basis and I was used to bi-weekly) so all of those are new challenges, some smaller some bigger, and Prague is a great place to experience them. Apart from all the great things the city has to offer, there comes the student life, the academic and the social one. The university itself has nice facilities to offer and the classes you attend are guaranteed to have international people in them. I think what makes the classes the best is the fact that so many people come from different backgrounds, cultures, countries etc. Additionally you can look for some events organized by the university or the students clubs and there are plenty of them!
