The Torino program is ideal for students who are interested in studying International Business, Art/Architecture, and Italian Studies in an exciting, cosmopolitan setting. Named the Youth Capital of Europe in 2010, Torino is an excellent location to study and practice the Italian language and experience Italy's rich culture away from crowded tourist areas. It is home to many prominent international companies, and this program provides an excellent opportunity to meet European students and business people in a leading center for European business and business education. Choose courses from three diverse academic areas: International Business, Architecture/Design/Art, and Italian Studies. Spend a semester or academic year in the classic city of Florence with AIFS Abroad. Choose from a wide variety of courses at the AIFS Abroad Global Education Center with credit awarded by Fairfield University. Select the Traditional Academic Program to begin or advance your Italian language skills and select courses from a variety of subjects. During the Spring semester, a Fashion Management and Marketing Program is also available. AIFS Abroad in Florence includes a one-week orientation before the semester begins to help you acclimate to life in Italy. Fall semester orientation is on the coast of Tuscany, while spring semester orientation is in Rome. Live in a shared student apartment and receive a meal plan. This summer course provides an overview of the key features of marketing, management, and merchandising in the retail fashion industry, with an emphasis on the Italian experience. For three weeks, you’ll learn about the importance of fashion brand building and marketing, and explore specific aspects such as customer relationship management. This is a seminar-based course featuring industry professionals who share their experience, helping you stay in touch with current thinking and the latest developments. It also covers traditional methodologies and techniques in depth, which are complemented by visits to showrooms and retail spaces. Together with your classmates, you’ll complete personal projects on-site in different areas of Milan to prepare for your final project and presentation. This course will help you understand the creative process for achieving specific project objectives and developing a communication strategy according to the set goals and budget. Taught in English and starting each June, this course is aimed at students or professionals from other fields interested in fashion marketing. Temple University Rome offers a four-year Bachelor's degree program and well as a First-year Entry Year program (TREY) where students then complete Years 2-4 either at Temple University in Philadelphia or Temple University Japan. Temple University Rome offers study abroad semester or academic year programs of full-time study designed primarily for third-year undergraduate students.
