Based in the vibrant town of Livingstone—near the world-famous Victoria Falls—this volunteer teaching program places you at the heart of rural schools filled with eager students and passionate local teachers. You’ll support learners who benefit immensely from extra time, attention, and encouragement. Teaching here goes beyond the classroom. From guiding a phonics lesson to helping with math clubs or organizing outdoor reading games, your impact will be direct and lasting. Afternoons are filled with community outreach projects, offering a rewarding balance of classroom support and hands-on involvement. No prior teaching experience is needed—just strong English skills, a positive attitude, and a genuine interest in education. This is a chance to support future generations while learning more about yourself along the way.

Located in Livingstone, Zambia, GoEco allows volunteers to work near Victoria Falls. By volunteering at GoEcos Community Teaching, participants can work at one of five schools in and the around the area of Livingstone. By volunteering with at risk and orphaned youth, GoEco volunteers can make a real difference in the lives of many. Another great aspect of the Community teaching project is that volunteers can separate students of theirs who are doing poorly and work with them separately in a slower, more one-on-one environment.

Volunteer and work on a project with local communities this Christmas, and help those a lot less fortunate than you! The project works with disadvantaged children and adults in a number of communities located near Livingstone in Zambia. The mornings are spent supporting kids on a break from school. The project runs a holiday club for up to 100 children. The school also tops up lessons with a class that takes place a few hours each day, giving children extra tuition they badly need. Afternoons are spent focusing on other activities in the community. The project also support adults through farming initiatives, a literacy club, and work in an old people's home. You do not need to have any specific skills to participate in this project. Just bring along your enthusiasm and willingness to get involved. Anyone with experience in child care, education or working with the elderly will be more than welcome. If you have a specific skill that you are able to share, please let us know.
