Humana People to People is a global humanitarian movement operating in 46 countries with 30 organizations, reaching over 17.9 million people worldwide. Our work focuses on education, health, sustainable agriculture, and community development
The program
10 months. 3 stages.
1. Training (3 months – Denmark, Lindersvold)
• Development studies
• Culture, politics, health & agriculture
2. Field Volunteering (6 months – Africa or Asia)
Destinations: Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique, India
• Work directly with local communities
• Projects in education, health, agriculture, or development
3. Reflection & Awareness (1 month, Denmark)
• Create content and share your experience
Cost & Scholarship
Covered by Humana:
• Round-trip travel + Accommodation
• Health insurance+ Vaccines & malaria prevention + Visa
• Monthly allowance
Paid by participant:
• €3,650 for the 4-month training (includes food, accommodation, and course)

What expenses are covered?
The six-month project stage is fully financed by Humana People to People and includes everything related to the project destination:
- Monthly allowance to cover food, local transportation, and some pocket money
- Round-trip travel from Denmark to the project country
- Vaccines and malaria prophylaxis
- Health insurance
- Accommodation
- Visa
What conditions do I have to meet to apply for the Humana Scholarship?
- Be over 18 years old
- Availability for 10 months
- Medium-high English level
- Be an open-minded and proactive person
What are the steps in the enrollment process?
1. Fill out the contact form on our website so we can get in touch with you.
2. You will receive more information about the program by email and an invitation to book a meeting online or in person.
3. You decide if you want to continue with the enrollment process, if the program is something that you are really interested in doing.
