Volunteers on the Summer Camp for Teens in San Juan take part in a mix of community service and supervised cultural experiences designed for 16 and 17-year-olds. Each morning, you will support local organisations through projects such as neighbourhood cleanups, food distribution, social support initiatives, or preparing community spaces. These activities allow teens to contribute meaningfully while learning about community needs in Puerto Rico. Afternoons and evenings focus on guided cultural, recreational, and social activities. These may include city tours, visits to historic landmarks, beach outings, organised sports, group games, nature walks, or water-based activities. All activities are supervised, providing a safe and engaging environment for teens to explore and build friendships with peers from around the world. The program runs for one week and is offered only in July. Commitments are usually three to five hours per day. Dormitory accommodation, meals, orientation, and in-country support are included. This experience suits motivated teens seeking a meaningful summer break combining community impact, personal growth, and cultural immersion in Puerto Rico.
