Best Volunteer Programs in Nicaragua

Volunteering in Nicaragua is the perfect way to discover untouched beaches, dense rainforests and volcanic landscapes while giving back to the local communities. The 'land of lakes and volcanoes' offers a diverse geography and amazing sites to visit far away from the mass tourism of other places in Central America. Volunteer your time to support non-profit organizations in Nicaragua. You love sea turtles? Join a conservation project to protect the rare animals and work at a baby turtle orphanage. Releasing the sea turtles back into the ocean is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Comunidad Connect: Cultural Connections - Nicaragua

Join our wonderful program in the heart of Nicaragua’s coffee-growing region! For one week, you will learn about our organization and functions through participation in projects aimed at sustainable community development. Your group will stay at an organic coffee farm in Jinotega, where you will work alongside farmers, millers, and seasonal pickers. You will also assist with development projects, such as whitewashing walls or building ovens and stoves. You will also sample locally grown and produced coffee at a fair trade cooperative. Of course, there will be time for sightseeing and exploration, such as hiking to a waterfall and going on a guided tour to Granada.
