Drama Volunteering in England

I had a great time in London with the intern group! I learned a lot about myself and my work ethic, and my likes and dislikes. I loved to experience traveling and seeing Europe in for the first time! Overall it was a great experience!

My six-month marketing internship with Interngroup was a great experience. I had the opportunity to further develop my creative skills, while working on a variety of marketing-related tasks. The Interngroup team were supportive and organised, which made it easy to settle in and get the most out of the programme. The intern events were a great part of the programme. It was an enjoyable way to connect with others and experience the city outside of work. Overall it was a delightful and valuable experience.

I had an incredible experience with the intern group in London. From the very beginning, the team made me feel genuinely welcomed and supported, which made settling into a new city so much easier. The entire program was extremely well organised and clearly focused on helping interns get the most out of both their professional and personal experience. A special thank you has to go to Peach and Alex. They went above and beyond to make sure I had the best possible experience. They were always approachable, supportive, and genuinely invested in helping me make meaningful progress in my career. Whether it was offering advice, organising opportunities, or simply checking in to make sure everything was going well, they made a huge difference to my time in the program. Because of them, I not only gained valuable professional experience, but I also truly fell in love with London. Their enthusiasm for the city and the community they built around the interns made the entire experience unforgettable. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to develop their career while experiencing life in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Thanks to Peach, Alex, and the whole team, my time in London is something I will always be grateful for. 🌍✨

I had a great time studying abroad! I loved Ibt Media and learned so much. I got great hands on experience, more than I ever thought I would. I had great bosses and they were so patient with me when I was first learning how everything worked.

My internship was fantastic. I was placed in a field I was interested in (after several rounds of negotiating with my placement advisor) and I discovered a city I loved. However, the housing process was a nightmare. I was put into an accommodation that didn’t provide me with the basic necessities I needed to live. I was promised kitchen supplies which I never received. However, once I was moved everything worked out (luckily).

I had one of the best experience of my life thanks to the Intern Group. I felt like I was part of an awesome family, able to understand my needs. The events have been very useful to know people from all over the world and the internship made me more confident of my strength points and my professional skills. I think it’s a priceless experience because I came back home enriched.

Had an amazing 3 months while interning in London due to the InternGroup Team. They were helpful from the day of the initial interview to the very end of the internship. The social events were awesome as I got to meet a lot of new interns and at the same time visit a new part of London each time. Would highly recommend this program to anyone who wants to gain experience in their field of study and at the same time enjoy outside the workplace. Its a good balance!

My experience was nothing short of amazing. UK Immigration lost my VISA which led to a severe 4 week delay in beginning my program. They refunded me money for every week that I was not at my placement during this time. Nick, the Visa specialist, was amazing and supportive during this and went above and beyond to assist me. He was with me every step of the way and kept in constant, daily communication until I arrived in London. After arriving, he continued to keep in contact with me to ensure that I was enjoying my placement and that I did not have any further issues. Since returning home, he has checked in with me to ensure that I arrived safely home. I cannot express the incredible support that was provided to me by the Intern Group. The cultural excursions were amazing and well thought out. Thomas was great and was always reachable by text or call. My university had many special requirements for my internship and IG was all to happy to mold my program the way that I needed it. If you are considering completing an international placement, you will not be in better hands than with the Intern Group. I could not have asked for a better experience.

As part of the Intern Group's Intern In London program, I was given the opportunity to intern/volunteer at Whizz-Kidz, a U.K. based non-profit organization (NPO). It should be noted that internships with NPO's do not typically pay interns, and other interns in your program may be receiving payment at their respective placements. However, if you're like me, this will not bother you as Whizz-Kidz does extremely valuable work for non-mobile young people. My accommodation was located a 2 minute walk from the Farringdon Underground Station roughly 25 minutes by tube from the office's location in Central London, a stone's throw from the Victoria Underground Station. I worked with the Customer Service team and found it to be a really pleasant experience. They were very kind and welcoming, keeping the work environment lighthearted but professional when the situation called for it. I was tasked mostly with processing handwritten pre-clinic and therapist support forms into an electronic database known as the C.S.D. Occasionally I would also be asked to send follow-up emails or letters to people had not responded to the charity's previous correspondence. Overall, the work was simple to get the hang of and my co-workers were always supportive and helpful if I was unsure of how to complete something. Not once did I feel uneasy about asking for assistance. The office environment also has a far more lax dress code than many other placements, meaning interns won't necessarily have to buy a new wardrobe beforehand. On the whole, I enjoyed my placement with Whizz-Kidz and the general experience of Intern London. It's a great city filled with interesting people and places.
