IVHQ is an amazing volunteer community. The team is super helpful and supportive from start to finish. The volunteer locations and the home stays are great for immersing yourself in the culture and environment. I’ve done 2 trips. One in Guatemala and one in Ecuador and have plans to do many with. 5 star experience! I hope this review inspires someone!

Had a great trip to Italy. I met a ton of people from all over the world and we worked together educating about issues around refugees. We worked during the day and had fun at night and on the weekends. I am still in touch with many of the people I volunteered with. Thanks

I had the most lovely time in Ecuador! My host team was so welcoming and helpful. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had safe transportation to my add ons and they made sure I was happy with my placement. The volunteer house was a friendly environment and I had no complaints about my housing situation. My volunteer placement helped me give back to others while practicing my Spanish. I recommend this trip for solo travelers and students like me for anyone who wants to truly immerse themself in the South American culture!

I love helping the old people , and I love those who do this because it gives them a spirit of life and enhances their psychology for the better. I also love animals and playing with them gently and I hope that I will enjoy this volunteering because it will have a great impact on my psychological state

My experience with VFP way back in 2009 was remarkable. Living in Germany and building a labyrinth at a World Heritage Site as the only native English speaker in my group was a truly immersive experience. I didn't feel like I was coming into a place from the outside so much as I felt part of a community. Our group really bonded and while we had a primary task, many of the day to day decisions were made by the group, one of my first experiences with really being responsible for myself.

My experience in mental health support as a volunteer has been a transformative journey that has brought hope, healing, and positive change to individuals facing mental health challenges. Through my dedicated involvement in a volunteer program, I have witnessed firsthand the profound impact that compassionate support and advocacy can have on the lives of those struggling with mental health issues. As a volunteer, my focus was on providing emotional support, guidance, and a listening ear to individuals navigating their mental health journeys. I worked closely with mental health professionals and other volunteers to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where individuals could express their thoughts, share their experiences, and receive the support they needed. Each interaction was an opportunity to offer empathy, understanding, and encouragement to those facing mental health challenges. I engaged in one-on-one conversations, support group sessions, and community outreach initiatives, all aimed at destigmatizing mental health, promoting self-care, and encouraging individuals to seek professional help when needed. The impact of my volunteer work extended far beyond the immediate moments of connection. Witnessing individuals find solace, experience breakthroughs, and regain a sense of hope and purpose was incredibly gratifying. Through consistent support, I observed individuals develop coping mechanisms, build resilience, and embark on their personal journeys towards healing and recovery. Moreover, my experience as a volunteer broadened my perspective on mental health. I deepened my understanding of different mental health conditions, their impact on individuals and communities, and the importance of holistic approaches to mental well-being. I actively sought out continuous learning opportunities, attended workshops, and engaged in discussions to enhance my knowledge and skills in mental health support. The cultural diversity within the volunteer program further enriched my experience. I had the opportunity to engage with individuals from various backgrounds, cultures, and life experiences. This diversity fostered a sense of inclusivity, allowing for the exchange of diverse perspectives and the discovery of common humanity. It reinforced the importance of cultural sensitivity and tailored approaches in mental health support. Now, I am passionate about spreading the word about the significance of mental health support and the power of volunteering in this field. By sharing my experiences, I aim to break down the barriers of stigma, raise awareness, and inspire others to become advocates for mental health. Together, we can create a society that prioritizes mental well-being, supports those in need, and fosters a compassionate and inclusive environment for everyone.

IVHQ is such a great program and way to experience the world, other cultures, and to meet great people. The other volunteers I met were equally as fantastic to interact with as the local community and I'm so glad I met all of them! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this program and can't wait to plan the next one!

I had a time in my life where I worked in rural areas when I was there I met with children who lived in the very bad lives some didn't have food to eat some lived in the roads so their lives were not really good. So I tried to help some of them we tried even to give some of them food, life insurance and try to change their lives From that time I found myself having the zeal of helping people, I joined a foundation which helps people who need help P4H(Pride for Humanism ) so we help children to study and help poor people who are in needy to help to get what they want in life. So to work there It will be something were good for me because I will be helping people as well as my passion and interest in whatever I will be doing

I previously participated in a trip abroad to represent my country abroad in the field of art and music, and we got third place in singing. I am a girl who loves to travel and help others, especially since I am a doctor. I am used to caring about the health of others. I strive to volunteer in many fields

My favourite part of the volunteer program was being able to explore not only the city but the country while making a positive difference. I feel a lot more confident in myself. It’s completely understandable to be hesitant about volunteering abroad as you're going to a new country with people you don’t know, but everyone is incredibly friendly and approachable and you end up making friends and experiences for life!

I really loved the school that my project was at. The kids were so sweet and welcoming. The meals were good and the local team kept the accommodation clean. When I would walk into the classroom each day the children would rush to give me a big group hug. For me, the biggest impact the program had was feeling the love of the children and teachers and improving my Spanish. If you are considering volunteering, you should definitely do it! It's incredible to experience another culture and way of life.

It was the best time of my life. The entire trip was a highlight. There wasn't a single moment where I wished I wasn't there. My host company was a flat out awesome place to work. I absolutely loved it. They were very helpful and understanding, they became my family away from home. The language instructor was such a great help. She's awesome. Seeing such rampant poverty, this trip really opened my sheltered eyes.

I had a time of my life i just want live the real life, compartir my time in this moment with real people. See other culture, expand my mind, compartir saberes, be a friend and connect with people a través the universal awareness.

I learned how to handle traveling better, especially in South America. I would recommend World Endeavors as it is cheaper than most and I was able to pick the dates I wanted to go

I loved this program! The staff was always happy to help and my advisor did an amazing job of giving me all the tools in order to succeed -she was knowledgeable, caring- in the end I really benefited from her. I would recommend World Endeavors to a friend because it is organized and the staff gives you the tools in order to succeed.

I love the volunteering. We are at an orphanage and love it and all the wonderful kids and wokers. I plan to go back in a couple years, just to see how very one is doing, I miss it there already. My local family in Ecuador were the best honestly family ever, they always made us feel like family and helped us with everything, I couldn't have asked for a better family they were amazing. It was a great program and everything was very organized

Getting to work with children was very rewarding. I also liked being forced to learn/use my spanish as no one spoke much english at my site. It has made me want to spend more time in south america working or volunteering. The whole family I lived with in South America was very understanding and helpful. I ate with the family, went to the gym with the brothers regularly, and talked with the mother every night. No complaints at all. I believe that understanding of another culture and how difficult it can be to communicate in another culture and language are very important. I made friends and have many memories.

Thank you World Endeavors for this experience. I will pass on your organization's name and the amazing country of Ecuador. (it reminds me of Korea in the 1980's - I hope their people will have an easier life as the years progress). I hope to bring my husband to visit.

This volunteer experience was great in terms of helping me get out of my shell. It was the first time that I went outside the country in over 19 years and going by myself made me feel independent and excited about volunteering in the future.
