Volunteer in Ecuador with World Endeavors

It was the best time of my life. The entire trip was a highlight. There wasn't a single moment where I wished I wasn't there. My host company was a flat out awesome place to work. I absolutely loved it. They were very helpful and understanding, they became my family away from home. The language instructor was such a great help. She's awesome. Seeing such rampant poverty, this trip really opened my sheltered eyes.

I learned how to handle traveling better, especially in South America. I would recommend World Endeavors as it is cheaper than most and I was able to pick the dates I wanted to go

I loved this program! The staff was always happy to help and my advisor did an amazing job of giving me all the tools in order to succeed -she was knowledgeable, caring- in the end I really benefited from her. I would recommend World Endeavors to a friend because it is organized and the staff gives you the tools in order to succeed.

I love the volunteering. We are at an orphanage and love it and all the wonderful kids and wokers. I plan to go back in a couple years, just to see how very one is doing, I miss it there already. My local family in Ecuador were the best honestly family ever, they always made us feel like family and helped us with everything, I couldn't have asked for a better family they were amazing. It was a great program and everything was very organized

Getting to work with children was very rewarding. I also liked being forced to learn/use my spanish as no one spoke much english at my site. It has made me want to spend more time in south america working or volunteering. The whole family I lived with in South America was very understanding and helpful. I ate with the family, went to the gym with the brothers regularly, and talked with the mother every night. No complaints at all. I believe that understanding of another culture and how difficult it can be to communicate in another culture and language are very important. I made friends and have many memories.

Thank you World Endeavors for this experience. I will pass on your organization's name and the amazing country of Ecuador. (it reminds me of Korea in the 1980's - I hope their people will have an easier life as the years progress). I hope to bring my husband to visit.

It has been going very well. The World Endeavors coordinator has been very helpful with any and all questions I´ve had. My favorite part would be the playas. The beaches in Ecuador are very beautiful, and the water just right.

My local family in Ecuador was very friendly. The room arranged for me was great for what I needed it for. The food was great. I worked on improving my spanish skills

This volunteer experience was great in terms of helping me get out of my shell. It was the first time that I went outside the country in over 19 years and going by myself made me feel independent and excited about volunteering in the future.

As it was my first time in South America, I got to see and experience the culture firsthand by living in a very local environment and conducting my daily life in a local town. The people of Guayaquil were friendly and helpful, especially the people I worked with at my volunteer site, and I feel like I have made a lot of great friends and connections that I could revisit when I return to Ecuador. I also liked that I had the opportunity to share my experience with other volunteers and to have these relationships that I can take home with me.

I loved working at the Foundation.The staff was very welcoming helpful,the girls were so pleasant and down to earth. I really felt as if I belonged.

My experience gave me the desire to help special needs children. I was assisting the teacher and working directly with the students. I contributed wherever help was needed.I had previous work experience working in the mental health field but this confirmed for me that it is something that I want to further pursue.It was nice.

I loved every second of it. I learned so much about myself and what I want out of life from these 8 weeks. And I left with an incredible set of friends and what I now consider a second home.

I had a very unique experience from World Endeavors. I had a very enjoyable time while spent there, however unfortunately had to come home early due to health reasons. I learned full-on first hand, the risks involved when traveling to a third world country... the possible contraction of a disease. Among many other things however, I experienced the beautiful culture of Ecuador through my travels and stay.

The children at my placement were so much fun and really loved having us there. I believe that I contributed to the organization by providing love and positive attention to these children. My volunteer program allows me to have a better understanding of another country and I can relate to different and sometimes difficult situations because of this.

The arranged acommodation was awesome as I felt i was at home. I trie to understand more the dificulties of the children and their parent's lives in my work. It says to me that i have to do volunteer allways in my life

I have certainly learned a lot from my time in Ecuador and feel comfortable in my everyday life in there. My favorite events were climbing Cotopaxi/Quilotoa, spending time at an organic farm, seeing whales at Los Frailles, watching World Cup matches in my small town, and really just the relationship development with my coworkers in the kitchen.

World Endeavors have a very easy application process, and they also have punctual responses. Volunteering in Ecuador went very well

I now have a better understanding of Ecuador, the children, and a bit of the culture of the indigenous people.I would now consider working with children, especially young children, more than before.

I did my volunteer program in Ecuador with World Endeavors. I can say that World Endeavors has a smooth application process and great communication throughout
