Best thing to happen to my Spanish!
May 11, 2026by: Tulip Bitange - KenyaBeing a premed student I was at first quite hesitant about applying for a study abroad since I was not very sure how it would work with my science classes. That was until I came across Spanish Study Abroad's page and saw that they offered a wide range of classes and programs that could too work for science majors! My first time applying was for the Spring of 2025 for which I was able to take both Spanish classes and do an internship organized by the Spanish Study Abroad branch in Seville at IENSA (a neurosurgery and neurology center in Seville). My second time, was the Spring of 2026 and with how well the program is organized, I was able to do my last Biochemistry class at University Pablo de Olavide. Long story short, the first semester abroad was honestly one of the best decisions of my life and definitely the best decision for my Spanish since between learning in the program and engaging with the very friendly Andalucian people, I successfully moved a whole level up in my Spanish in just a couple months. Additionally, Seville is culturally rich and I love that the program makes it a point to explain and share the wonderful culture and cusine with us! From this experience, I built my confidence and knowledge in Spanish and made very important connections with both locals and in the Spanish healthcare system. I loved it so much, I did the study abroad TWICE and I can confidently say it was 100% worth it!!!
Loin de toi, près de moi
April 09, 2026by: Éléna Labonté - CanadaProgram: Semester Abroad in Spain (official university credits)

Great Program and Very Immersive
March 31, 2026by: Charles Keehan - United StatesProgram: Spanish Immersion - Study and Intern
I have definitely had a great time studying with UDC and Linguistic Horizons. The arrangements and trips provided by Nicole are always very fun, safe, and great new experiences to have. My host family is very nice and caring, and I have greatly improved my Spanish speaking, learning, and understanding skills through communicating with them daily. Nicole is very easy to reach and helpful in answering all questions. Would highly recommend!
Muchas gracias, Charles :)
RVF's Study in Spain Program - Master's in Bilingual Education, Nebrija University
March 21, 2026by: H.T. Hunt - United StatesI’ve found the Master’s in Bilingual Education at Nebrija to be a rigorous and intellectually engaging program. Several professors stand out for their clarity, strong grounding in theory, and practical classroom applicability—particularly in CLIL methodology and active learning approaches. The program requires a high level of autonomy and time management, especially for students who are also working. For those combining teaching responsibilities with full-time study, it is important to be prepared for an intensive schedule. However, the academic depth and exposure to bilingual methodology provide meaningful professional growth. One of the strongest aspects of the program is its emphasis on connecting theory to real classroom contexts. When students actively engage with the material and apply it in their teaching practice, the learning becomes especially valuable. Overall, the program offers solid academic preparation for educators seeking to deepen their understanding of bilingual education within a European framework. RVF also provided excellent support throughout the application process. Thank you.
Transformational Experience
February 09, 2026by: Tadeo Asprella - ArgentinaStudying abroad with SSA in Seville was not a single transformative moment, but a gradual process of learning, unlearning, and growth that reshaped how I see myself, other cultures, and my future goals. Over the course of the semester, my initial assumptions were challenged through everyday experiences, academic engagement, and meaningful interactions with people in my host country. By the end of my time abroad, I had developed a deeper sense of self-awareness, cultural understanding, and clarity about the direction I want my academic and professional life to take. Spain and Seville welcomed me with open arms, taking me in and making me part of its beautiful culture. It was amazing to experience the day-by-day there. One really gets to comprehend the beauty of having small rituals and activities that bring you joy everyday, despite your typical routine (work, studying, exercising, socializing, etc). Spain and Seville, specifically offers an undoubtedly rich culture that you can appreciate everytime you walk on its streets. I honestly could not be happier I got to spend 4 months here and I am extremely excited to go back and see all the wonderful people I have met. I truly recommend this program and SSA, especially if you want to experience Spain's warmth and culture at its best.

Best Semester ever!
September 19, 2025by: Katerina Ontko - United StatesProgram: Study Abroad at UAB: Tailor Made Study Programs for Groups
During my time abroad I learned more about the world, myself and what i'm capable of than ever before. This was by far the most rewarding thing I have ever done and not a day goes by where I don't miss it. Ive made the best friends I could ever ask for, had some of the best food in my life, seen the most beautiful architecture and learned so much history about other regions its amazed me. I learned how to navigate new environments all on my own in countries where English was not a first language. Ive grown so much independently and mentally from this and will take it with me in my future success! For anyone that is on the fence about going abroad I strongly encourage that you won't regret it, the worst part about abroad for me was having to leave a place that I quickly called home!

Life As A Madrileño
July 11, 2025by: Noah Moradoff - United StatesMy time with RVF International as an English Auxiliary in Spain has been nothing short of fantastic. I am ethnically Spanish, but was adopted as a child, so this allowed me to get in touch with my roots. However, no one could have told me the extent to which I would fall in love with Spain and its people. Whether it’s tapas on the street, local dives, or beach trips to Alicante, everything is a lifetime adventure. There are places online that talk about the school experience in a stressful light. In my experience, it was a great chance to grow alongside the kids. Quickly, we adapted to each other, and I’ll miss all of them as I leave the school in San Lorenzo in the coming weeks. The area around my school is stunning, as the monastery is an authentic Spanish treasure. I am a little sad that you can only be in one school for two years, as I’ve formed strong bonds with the students and faculty during my time here. I came to Spain with a base level of Spanish that can only be achieved from an American High School. Needless to say, I wasn’t the strongest speaker. However, in Madrid, everyone was super nice and easy-going from the moment I stepped off the plane. My local alimentacion is run by a couple that speaks no English, but we crossed that divide and now check in with each other every few days if we don’t go to the store. While the city of Madrid offers the hustle and bustle and nightlife of a major city, it also has a sense of tranquility amongst the crowd. This program is 110% recommended for people of all ages looking to immerse themselves in a new culture.
Amazing Support for First-Time Master’s Program Applicant!!!!
June 10, 2025by: Madeline S - United StatesAs someone who was completely new to the process of applying for a master’s program—especially abroad—I was feeling pretty overwhelmed at first. I had no idea where to start or what steps to take. Then I found RVF!! They made everything so much easier than I expected. From day one, the team walked me through the entire process in a way that was clear and manageable. They explained everything I needed to know, helped me gather the right documents, and stayed in touch regularly to make sure I was on track. What seemed complicated at first quickly became doable thanks to their guidance and support. They answered all my questions, helped me write a strong application, and made sure nothing fell through the cracks. Because of them, I got accepted into a great master’s program and feel confident about this new chapter. If you're new to this process or just need someone to help you navigate it smoothly, I can’t recommend RVF International enough. They really made something that felt intimidating feel super achievable!!
Spain was a dream and I fell in love <3
January 19, 2023by: Sherine Morsi - United StatesProgram: Semester Abroad in Spain (official university credits)
There are no words to describe my experience in Spain, in Cádiz, that could enunciate what my heart feels every day since. From the moment I knew I would be going, I knew I would have the experience I have been waiting a lifetime for. Every day was a new adventure, and in each city we traveled, I fell in love with the country again. My hope is to keep returning to the city I called home for two months, I could not imagine never seeing it again. My love is incandescent and I am so grateful to have these memories through Centro MundoLengua. I cannot imagine any other company doing better than what they had done for us.

Fabulous study abroad program!!
June 03, 2022by: Cate Barrett - United StatesProgram: Semester Abroad in Spain (official university credits)
MundoLengua is an incredible program and I can't recommend it enough! My university in the United States has a longstanding partnership with MundoLengua and many of my friends that had been on the semester program in Sevilla with them had amazing things to say about the program wish is why I decided to go. I can confidently say MundoLengua lived up to those expectations and even exceeded them. I just got back from my 4 month study abroad program in Sevilla, Spain with MundoLengua and I can't say enough good things about the program. The staff was welcoming, attentive, friendly and helped us with all of our questions and concerns. Throughout the course of the program, the MundoLengua staff had great communication with us and made sure we were all doing okay throughout the program. We also had many activities and weekend excursions with MundoLengua where we were fully immersed into Spanish culture and learned about different cultural aspects. They made our transition to classes in Sevilla and living in homestays very seamless and helped us with anything we needed throughout the process. Anyone that does a MundoLengua program will be in great hands and I couldn't recommend their programs enough!
Cate, thank you very much for your words. Knowing that you “felt in good hands” give us the sense of being doing a good job when organizing semester abroad programs. We do our best to make sure that each student feels welcome during the study abroad in Sevilla program. It was a pleasure to have you here at Centro Mundolengua.
Makes you feel like family

My university partnered with ML for my fall semester abroad, and I could not have been happier with the experiences provided by ML. Despite the pandemic, we were able to travel to Granada, Malaga Province, and Madrid - as well as many cultural experiences in Sevilla including kayaking and a cooking class! Huge shoutout to Antonio, Yaye, Auxi, and David :)
Life in Alicante
October 31, 2017by: Madison Rose - United StatesI had the most wonderful time in Alicante, Spain. Spanish Studies Abroad were so helpful in answering every single one of my thousand questions. They were caring, helpful, and kind before, during, and after the trip. I never had to worry about anything. The food was fantastic, my host family was wonderful, the excursions were incredible, and my only complaint was the lack of air conditioning. I can't wait to do it all again with the same program this time on the other coast in Seville.
More than worthwhile
February 28, 2017by: Krista Vandetty - United StatesI had the most incredible experience studying abroad with Spanish Studies Abroad. Before going into this, I was nervous with my Spanish speaking ability and living with a host family. After a week or two, I felt completely relived with my decision to study abroad in Sevilla, with a host family. My family and locals were SO willing to help with my Spanish and encouraged you to try your best. My classes also helped with my Spanish and I learned a lot while being abroad including cultural immersion.
Spanish Ttacher
October 13, 2016by: Natalie Gemelas - AvonProgram: Semester Abroad in Spain (official university credits)
I have taken students to Centro Mundolengua twice, and both times have been exceptional. David and his team go above and beyond every time. I HIGHLY recommend this program for any students, at any grade/level. They grow and change so much. As a Spanish Teacher, I was also able to be re-certified by AP Central while I was there. Centro Mundolengua offers so much. It is the best program that I have found and I have been in education for over 25 years.
Go to Sevilla!!!
April 15, 2016by: Danielle Boyd - United StatesSevilla was an amazing place to study. It was great because you can definitely immerse yourself as much as you want, but there's always other Americans studying with you so it's easy to take a step back if you need to. Every class I took in Sevilla was applicable to my majors and interests and I never woke up wanting to miss class. Spanish Studies Abroad offered so much amazing support with any issue that I had which made the adjustment to Spanish culture an easy one. I would definitely recommend SSA to anyone willing to immerse themselves in the language and really live the culture.
An Unforgettable Semester
December 20, 2014by: DB - New YorkProgram: API: Experience Madrid, Spain (Scholarships Available)
I would not have traded my Semester in Madrid for anything in the world. It was an experience I will never forget and nothing will ever compare to. I think Madrid is a great location if you love the hustle and bustle of a city and don't mind being far from the coast. I will say that is the one thing I missed while I was in Madrid, I've been lucky enough to always live near the coast in my life but this semester was an exception. But on the other hand, Madrid is a prime location if you're looking to travel Europe being that you're right near one of Europe's largest and most important airports. It is extremely easy and fairly inexpensive to travel around Europe from Madrid (easier than from other cities in Spain anyway). The nightlife in Madrid is so widely varied that no matter what type of experience you're looking for you're guaranteed to find it there. Spain in general is a great place to study abroad if you're looking for new experiences. If you like to try new food, listen to some new genres of music, and try out a new way of life, Spain is the place for you. API is a great program to study abroad with because they plan a number of great trips and organize some fun cultural events throughout the semester as well. They make the study abroad experience so smooth and comfortable that it becomes easy to feel right at home in your study abroad location. They were always extremely helpful when it came to needing to go to the doctor, to advice on ways to travel, to help with the language, etc. Suffolk University is a good school to attend if you're looking for an experience similar to that you would receive at any American university. The courses are fairly challenging but the variety of classes are slightly lacking. If you are coming from another university, make sure to look at the course offerings in advance and be sure that they are offering courses that are applicable to your major/minor. The professors there seem to be good overall and the staff there are extremely friendly. It took me a little bit longer than expected to settle in but at the end of the day I absolutely loved my experience living and studying in Madrid.
Best Year of my life
November 26, 2014by: Traveler4Life - San DiegoProgram: Spanish Immersion - Study and Intern
I studied Business classes during my year abroad in La Coruna. All my classes were in Spanish which was challenging for me at first; but, as the semester went on it got easier to understand. When I arrived, I had taken a couple years of college level Spanish but I was by no means fluent. About halfway through my first semester, I was pretty fluent. The city has great nightlife, really delicious tapas bars and beautiful beaches. I loved that I was one of only a few students from the US in the whole city; because, it really gave me the opportunity to meet Spaniards and other international students from all over the world. I would highly recommend studying abroad in La Coruna!
Thank You, Spanish Studies!
August 13, 2014by: AshleyMy most memorable experience was getting to dance sevillanas (the traditional dance of my city) at Sevilla's Feria at the beginning of May. I wore my first flamenco dress and got to try my dance skills out outside of class. Spanish Studies Abroad has a long-standing connection with my home university, Heidelberg. The representatives that spoke to us and my academic advisor's advice showed me that the best option for my immersion would be the Integrated Studies program in Seville, Spain. I lived in a student residence (residencia) in the center of my city. The location and the facility were great. In addition, I got the opportunity to live with and mingle with students from all over the country. I met my best friend from Spain inside my building!
Thank you, Spanish Studies!
August 11, 2014by: Ashley RacicotSpanish Studies Abroad is a program organized and run by passionate, interesting people. The academic experience is superior due to the Spanish Only Policy and the faculty and staff do a great job making life in your city comfortable and meaningful.
Four Years Later and I'm Still Raving!
July 17, 2014by: Coloradoan - DenverProgram: API: Experience Madrid, Spain (Scholarships Available)
If you only read one sentence, let it be this: you should study abroad. API was absolutely incredible, and four years later I still cannot say enough great things about them. They made everything easy and bent over backwards to help out. After flying from CO to LA, I was told that I didn't have the right paperwork to get my visa. One quick (and panicked) call to API and I was sure everything was taken care of; when I had problems with my home university accepting my classes, API immediately fixed it. This program in particular was awesome. I loved Madrid, and the classes at Nebrija were phenomenal. I lived in a residencia, and made friends that will last a lifetime. Maria and Quique were great as hosts, and I loved getting to know them as they showed us the amazingness of Spain. The excursions are fantastic, and easily some of the best offered by a study abroad program. If you're ready to have the experience of a lifetime, I highly recommend using API!
