Rome is a living historical museum—a place like no other for studying not only the history of the world but specifically the history of the Christian church. As an EU city of over three million people, it remains a significant, relevant urban center today. The discipline of history concerns itself with the stories and interpretations that provide meaning for human life. Just as with individuals, loss of historical memory makes societies, faith, movements, and ideas rootless. This is why Veritas has given special priority to the Christian study of history. World Class Programs offers high school students the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. Our summer program is designed for teens from all academic backgrounds who are excited about immersing themselves in Italian culture and lifestyle. This pre-college program offers various course study options, including Art History, Fine Arts, Philosophy, Photography, Architecture, Italian language, and Tuscan Cuisine. Students can choose a major course for daily focus (Monday to Friday) in the mornings for three hours.
