Informative

The LCT PG Diploma in Special Educational Needs (SEN) has been a highly enriching and impactful learning experience. The program provided a strong theoretical foundation while also emphasizing practical strategies that can be applied directly in educational settings. Each module was thoughtfully structured and allowed me to build a deeper understanding of the diverse needs of learners, including identification, assessment, intervention, and inclusive practices. I particularly appreciated the focus on individualized education planning, differentiated instruction, and the importance of collaboration among teachers, families, and support professionals. The course content encouraged reflection, empathy, and a learner-centered approach, which has positively influenced how I view and support students with additional needs. The case studies and examples helped connect theory to real-life classroom situations, making the learning both meaningful and relevant. The assignments were challenging yet purposeful, pushing me to critically analyze situations and apply evidence-based strategies. Through these tasks, I developed greater confidence in designing accommodations, modifying instruction, and supporting social, emotional, and behavioral development in students with SEN. While the program was comprehensive, incorporating more interactive components such as live discussions, practical demonstrations, or classroom-based videos would further enhance the learning experience. These additions could provide even greater opportunities for collaboration, peer learning, and practical application. Overall, the LCT PG Diploma in SEN has significantly strengthened my professional skills and understanding of inclusive education. I am grateful for the knowledge gained and believe this program has better prepared me to advocate for, support, and empower learners.

I had an excellent experience with IVHQ from start to finish. The application process was clear, smooth, and very well organized, which made planning the program easy and stress-free. The support from the IVHQ team before and during the program was outstanding — communication was timely, helpful, and always reassuring. Every step was well coordinated, expectations were clearly explained, and I always felt informed and supported. It was evident that IVHQ truly cares about its volunteers and works hard to ensure meaningful, well-structured experiences abroad. Thanks to IVHQ’s professionalism and organization, I was able to fully focus on the volunteering experience itself, knowing everything behind the scenes was handled with care. I would highly recommend IVHQ to anyone looking for a reliable, well-run, and impactful international volunteering program.

Summer in Italy!

January 09, 2026Breanne Phee - Canada

In October 2024, I learned about Scotia Personnel and the work they do to help young people like me travel the world. My name is Breanne P., and I am in my second year of university. Since I was young, I dreamed of travelling the world after I finished school. However, after learning about Scotia Personnel, my dream happened a lot sooner than expected. Last summer (May 2025), after Scotia Personnel helped me figure out all the logistics of my trip, I was able to fly from Canada to Italy and live there for three months. During these months I lived with a lovely family with a mother, father, 13-year-old son, and 11-year-old daughter. They also had two cats and a nanny who was so sweet. I was shown and told my responsibilities, mostly picking up and dropping off the kids at their functions and doing activities with them. We would go out to eat, go exploring, go to the park, or go dancing. On the weekends I would take the train and visit a different place in Italy. Sometimes I even went with the family to different places. I also had a week off, so during that time I decided to go to Paris in France and Barcelona in Spain. I made some wonderful friends there, connecting with other solo travelers when I was going places alone. My family was so sweet and it was so AMAZING! During the hours I was off, I would either meet with another au pair or hang out with some Italian friends I met there. During the whole trip I visited so many different places like Pisa, Florence, Rome, Cinque Terre, and more. Furthermore, I made so many great friends from all over the world: Africa, Sweden, the USA, Canada, Italy, Mexico, Amsterdam… And I had so many new experiences. It was one of the best decisions of my life, and I am so happy I did it!

I had an amazing time which exposed me to so many new things in every aspect. I feel like a completely different person at the end of this program, despite it only being a short, 6 month exchange period. Truly grateful for the oppurtunity.

An incredible online learning experience!

January 08, 2026Louey Nacer Boumediene Merouane - Algeria

My experience with Smart Schools International’s online program has been truly rewarding. Despite the distance, the support from the staff and instructors was exceptional from day one. The curriculum is highly interactive and engaging, providing practical skills that go far beyond traditional learning methods. I especially appreciated the flexibility of the platform and the opportunity to connect with students from all over the world in a global virtual classroom. I highly recommend this program to anyone looking for a high-quality, flexible, and well-organized online education.

American School in Egypt

My experience at Smith Collin’s Academy in Hurghada was definitely a positive one. My confidence in my teaching skills grew as well as my independence. The cultural experience alone of teaching students that are from all over the world and speaking different languages was an incredible experience. The staff at Smith Collin’s was also exemplary and some of the friendliest coworkers I’ve ever had. Overall, if you are looking for a good mixture of cultural experience and wanting to expand your teaching skills this is the internship program for you.

Greatest Winter Season

January 08, 2026Loreen Jantzen - Germany

My time here in Canada is wonderful, I got interviewed by Internex Pacific to work in Hospitality at a Ski Resort, so I always meet new people. As a Restaurantspecialist with experience on a cruiseship, I already saw much of the world, but I can for sure say Canada is one of my favourite places also because of the people living here. Living here in Invermere at a Lakehouse is awesome, because the owner are really friendly and we have much space around the house.

The volunteer experience that rewired my heart

January 08, 2026Jim Johnson - United States

I volunteered with Go Palestine for a month, teaching conversational English twice a week at a community center in a refugee camp. My main work was to get the kids and teenagers talking. We played games, practiced simple conversations, and sang songs. The goal was to build their confidence to speak. It was challenging but so rewarding. Seeing a shy student finally say a full sentence with a smile was the best feeling. Teaching just twice a week was perfect. It gave me time to prepare good lessons and also to visit families, explore with the center's staff, and really understand the community. The people in the camp were incredibly strong and generous. They taught me about their culture and daily life. This wasn't just volunteering; it was a real human exchange. If you want to make a direct, personal impact and learn more than you ever could from a book, do this program. You won't forget it!!!
