Thank you GAC!

My 15-year-old son spent 5 weeks in Beijing with GAC's summer camp. He was nervous at first, but his homestay family made him feel comfortable immediately. He learned real Mandarin and made friends from all over the world. The weekend trips to the Great Wall and Summer Palace were unforgettable. He came back more confident and independent. My 15 years old daughter

My 15-year-old daughter spent 5 weeks in Shanghai with GAC's high school program. I was nervous at first, but the team kept us updated regularly. Her homestay family sent photos of her learning calligraphy and cooking dumplings. She went from knowing zero Mandarin to ordering food and making friends with local students. The weekend trips to the water towns were unforgettable for her. She came home more independent, confident, and with a second family in China. Thank you GAC!

high school student

My parents were nervous about sending me to China alone, but GAC made it so safe and easy. I stayed with a lovely host family in Beijing who treated me like their own daughter. I learned Mandarin fast, visited the Great Wall, and made friends from all over the world. I came home more confident and independent. GAC was helpful in every step, from visa, airport pickup, accommodation, Wi-Fi, SIM Card and everything. One thing was really surprising for me that China has it's own YouTube. If you're a teen thinking about it – just go!

My daughter came back a different person

My 15-year-old daughter spent 6 weeks in Beijing with GAC's high school program. I was nervous at first, but the coordinators sent updates and photos regularly. Her homestay family treated her like their own child – even celebrated her birthday with a traditional cake. She went from knowing zero Mandarin to ordering food, taking taxis, and even helping me translate during a video call. The weekend trips to the Great Wall and Forbidden City were unforgettable for her. She came home more confident, independent, and mature. Thank you, GAC – we're already planning her next trip.

my 16 old sone spent 6 weeks

My 16-year-old son spent 6 weeks in Beijing with GAC's high school program. We were nervous sending him alone, but the homestay family treated him like their own child. He studied Mandarin in the mornings and went on cultural tours in the afternoons — the Great Wall, Summer Palace, and even a visit to a local high school. He came home speaking more Chinese than after two years of classes here, and with a second family in China. The 24/7 supervision gave us total peace of mind. Highly recommend for any teen wanting a real cultural experience.

Best summer of my life

I'm 19 and this was my first time traveling without my parents. Honestly, I was nervous, but the coordinators made everything feel safe and fun. My homestay mum taught me how to make dumplings, and my host brother taught me to play basketball. Classes were actually interesting — my teacher made learning Mandarin feel like a game. Made friends from all over the world. I'm already planning to go back for a full gap year after graduation. I learned more, experienced more and was way more more different than i have heard about China.

Came home with proper Chinese

when your mother's language is Mandarin and your father's language is English you get confused of which one to learn and speak in your life. I joined the high school program of Go Abroad China to improve my Chinese language skills and feel it. the experience was pretty smooth from application to visa and host family. definitely recommended if you want to re-gain your Chinese skills

My host family was wonderful, patiently helping me practice Mandarin every day. From Nervous to Confident: My High School Trip to China

Going to China with GoAbroadChina was my first trip outside my country as a high school student. At first, I felt nervous and shy, but I quickly made friends and started to feel comfortable. In the mornings, we had Chinese language classes, and in the afternoons, we joined fun cultural activities. I learned to write Chinese characters and even gave calligraphy a try—it was really cool! We visited amazing places like the Great Wall and the Forbidden City, which felt like walking through history. I stayed with a local family who welcomed me like one of their own. They were kind and always happy to share their culture and daily life with me. After the trip, I felt more confident and open to new things. My Chinese speaking got way better in just a short time. This program was the perfect mix of learning, adventure, and fun.

My Study in China ( Go Abroad China )

Learning Chinese in China with Go Abroad China was super fun and really helpful. The teachers were friendly, and classes were small, so we learned a lot fast. I stayed with a local family and had to speak Mandarin every day, which made me better quickly. I loved going on trips to places like old gardens and temples, where we could use our new words. One time I even bargained in Chinese at a market—it felt awesome! We also did fun stuff like tai chi and making dumplings. After the program, I could speak more clearly, and China felt like home.

High School Study Abroad in China

Studying abroad in high school through Go Abroad China changed how I see the world. I lived with a kind host family and studied at a local school where I made great friends. At first, I was shy and didn’t know Chinese, but the lessons and daily life helped me improve fast. I joined a calligraphy club and even celebrated Chinese New Year with fireworks and yummy food. My teachers were strict but caring, and I felt really supported. This experience helped me become stronger, smarter, and ready for college. I’ll never forget my time in China—it was a big step that changed my life.
