I really enjoyed my time studying at LTL Seoul. My teacher was patient, encouraging, and created a comfortable classroom environment that made learning Korean enjoyable. The staff were also very kind, welcoming, and friendly, which made the school feel like a great place to learn. One of my favorite parts was the weekly activities, especially the lunches after class. They were a great way to get to know other students and made it much easier to feel comfortable meeting people from different countries. My Korean definitely improved during my time at LTL, and overall I had a wonderful experience. I would definitely recommend LTL to anyone looking to study Korean in Korea.

I have been here in LTL South Korea for about 2 months and it has been a really great experience. When I first chose to join LTL over a standard Korean university, I was worried about the quality of teaching that I would received because honestly I have had mediocre experiences before. I think good teachers can be really hard to come by. But my teacher 고민지 선생님, was honestly perfect for my learning styile and has really helped me improve my Korean. She always puts in the extra effort to make sure we understand the material. In the past, I have taken Korean courses both in America and in Korea, but I have never learned as fast as I have with her so I am really grateful. In our small group setting she talks to each student and makes sure that we all get our speaking practice in. She is always attentive to her students and I always feel that she is super passionate and about teaching. Even if I am slacking on studying or low energy class is still really fun. In the past my Korean courses never really provided speaking practice. But because of the small groups, we are able to do it very well. She also explains the nuances of Korean which I feel as a foreigner is a really difficult concept to grasp.. I really truly think that is such a great teacher. Actually at first I also wondered about the length of the classes because I thought 4 hours would be long. But time really goes by fast. I was also pretty worried that I wouldn’t be in the right level for learning Korean. But the staff were really accommodating in our Korean to ensure that we were getting the right teacher for our levels. I personally was put in the level fit for me, but I’ve seen a lot of students change levels a lot of they needed. Which I think is great because my other programs never let us switch levels.. and that was really frustrating for me in the past. With the LTL program every monday, wednesday, and friday we are able to eat lunch together as a group. One of the first staff I met was 최지은 (we call her Violet) and she was so kind! I felt really welcomed and she is usually the person who takes us to lunch. We both bonded over our love for K-pop (haha). We always go somewhere nearby the school for lunch. There are also many activities after morning classes. A lot of the activities are tourist activities, so these days I don’t really join as often as I used to, but in the start of the program I was a little shy so it was fun to join and make some friends. Everyone is from somewhere different so I always had fun conversations. Another nice thing I have been able to do is just stay in the building a study in an empty classroom. My teacher recommended it to me after I told her I had a difficult time studying at my place. I love the location of the building as well because its in Hongdae, so theres just so many things I can do after class. I would definitely come back again and hopefully I am able to next summer. It is definitely more affordable compared other schools and while other programs offer all day excursions and such, personally I don’t have a strong interest in that. So I would definitely recommend this program if anyone is considering it especially if you have been to Korea before.

I spent a total of 6 weeks of small group classes at LTL Seoul in May and June and I words cannot describe how much fun I had. The school itself is very nice, all the staff were really kind and helpful. I asked to change classes a couple of times and they were very happy to help me do so. Minji's lessons were so fun and engaging and she was the best teacher so I was able to really improved my Korean so much during my short time there. I also really enjoyed all the activities which were organised by the school every week, where I was able to hang out with my friends I had made there while also exploring the city. It was a good mix of both cultural and fun activities so thanks to Sebastian for organising those! Overall I really recommend of you are considering a language school in Seoul as you will not regret it!

Location: you ll find LTL in a supernice student district, easy to reach by couple of subwaylines, many restaurants, clubs, bars, shops School/Classrooms: As LTL does not do huge classes, you have rooms for max 8 people, with a lot of light, all with aircon)heating. Also after classes you can study in the front area or have a nice chat (or learning) on the outside terrace. Your morning only works with coffee? no problem, coffeemachine provided. Iced Coffee? ice cubes provided. as well as tea, water and so on. course: after finding out your level you enter a course of a few people only. in a very personal and easy going atmosphere. even though focused on learning, there s always time for some chatting and intercultural exchange. crowd: international mix, all ages, openminded, mixing well. me near 50, was a bit afraid it might be difficult going to school/course with genz/alpha. Not at all. Thanks to openminded and inclusive atmosphere. and to: Teacher: We had Kyle as super skilled teacher. He managed a very mixed group of 4, different age and nationality, different backgrounds in a perfect way. In a personal approach he encouraged, motivated and gave guidance. Starting from absolutely ZERO within 4 weeks i feel safe to speak. Of course more practice in writing reading and vocabulary needed. But the base is there to proceed on your own. 감사합니다, Kyle씨. And all this in a not pushy but very relaxed way! After school avtivities: LTL team organizes a lot of team activities. exploring nearby restaurants, art and craft courses, escaoe rooms, clumbing, pool excursions, korean calligraphy course..and many more. And LTL is not asking additiona fees. Prices: I did a research before, and seeing what others offer, LTL is best value for money. perfect service, good facilities, small classed, superskilled teacher/teaching method, extra progams, and supersweet team. I ll definitely come back and go on with course.

Hey Korean Language Learners! I originally spent 3 weeks at LTL Shanghai learning Mandarin, and had such a good experience that I decided to return to LTL, but this time in Seoul to improve my Korean. LTL Shanghai included not only classes, but a fun community of fellow students, as well as some fun activities in the evening organized by the school. This is more or less also what I expected when I signed up for another 3 week stay at LTL Seoul, but my actual experience so far has vastly exceeded my expectations. As I’ve only had classes with one teacher, I can only speak to my experience with 다영 선생님, who makes class fun and full of laughter, but also ensures that she both challenges and supports us students when it comes to both comprehension and oral expression. Class often passes by very quickly, as there’s been a high emphasis on speaking, as opposed to the teacher simply lecturing us about the language for 4 hours. Speaking from my experience both in Shanghai and Seoul, your fellow students also tend to be very motivated, as they’re spending their time and hard earned money to make as much progress as possible in the limited time they have at school. While the academic portion so far has been very enjoyable and effective (in 2 short weeks I’ve already seen visible progress on my goal to read Korean at a quicker, more natural pace and increase my practical vocabulary), where LTL Seoul shines the brightest is the staff, which I feel are the heart and soul of the academy. Hailee, Manuel, Sebastian, and Violet have done, and continue to do, such an amazing job welcoming us and fostering an incredible experience for all the students. Before even arriving in Seoul, Violet would respond to various questions I had about the academic program, learning materials, and even helped to sort out accommodations (which I don’t think is even part of her responsibilities). Once I arrived in Seoul, Manuel was in constant contact with me, making sure that I knew how to get to my accommodation without getting lost, and also ensured that everything at the accommodation was prepared properly. Shortly after settling into my 고시원 (a kind of low rent, single occupancy room), Violet and Hailee took myself and other students out for a picnic on the Han River. I had been in Seoul not even 3 hours and I was already getting a nice local experience with fellow students that I probably would never have considered doing on my own. Hailee not only helped to organize events and accompany students to them while the school was looking for a new Culture Specialist. And finally, when Sebastian (the new Culture Specialist) arrived, he hit the ground running with organizing a karaoke event, getting to know the students, and planning further events according to the interests of the students. I went to LTL Seoul expecting to have a nice time while improving my Korean a bit, but I never really thought I would seriously consider returning anytime soon. Now I’m looking at my schedule and trying to figure out if another trip this year is possible, or if I’ll have to wait until next year. In either case, I look forward to returning to LTL Seoul very soon!

I have been studying at LTL Seoul for a long time now (over 4 months now and counting) and it has truly become one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. And I still have two months left! When I first came here, I was both excited and nervous. Starting a new language in a different country is never easy, especially considering I’m above the average age of a typical student! However, from the very beginning, I felt welcomed and supported by everyone around me including the team, the teachers and my fellow students. One of the best parts of this experience has been the friendships I made. I met so many international people from different countries, cultures, and backgrounds. German, fellow Americans, British, Dutch, German, Italian. LTL has every nationality you can imagine. Even though we all spoke different native languages, we shared the same goal. Learning Korean and understanding Korean culture more deeply. Through studying together, practicing conversations, and truggling with difficult grammar, we became close friends. These friendships mean so much to me, and I believe they will last for a long time. I’ve also enjoyed taking salsa dance lessons whilst in Seoul and making friends through that too. It’s also another place to practice my Korean! Korean can be quite difficult. The pronunciation, grammar structure, and honorific expressions require a lot of patience and practice. Sometimes I felt that memorizing vocabulary and understanding new concepts was not easy. There were moments when I doubted myself and wondered if I could really improve. But I kept reminding myself that learning has no age limit. I am still learning, still making mistakes, and still growing every day. The teachers at LTL Seoul are truly wonderful. They are patient, kind, and professional. They always encourage us, no matter our level. They explain difficult points clearly and create a comfortable atmosphere in class so that we are not afraid to speak. Because of them, I gained confidence and motivation to continue studying. Their support made a huge difference in my journey. I studied with a few teachers including Jennifer, Yunjeong, Jeehyun and Minji. I also love how LTL Korea allows us to experience the culture and the language in tandem. Through various activities and conversations, I learned more about Korean traditions, daily life, and social manners. It helped me understand Korea in a deeper and more personal way. We’ve done so many things like travel the city, partake in kimchi or mandu (dumpling) making, played Korean games, gone to Korean restaurants etc. The staff also take students to lunch every week which is a great plus especially when you are new and unfamiliar with the language and what to eat! I really like it here and will definitely come back again. This place is more than just a school; it feels like a second home to me. Special thanks to Manuel, Max, Hailee, Lio, and Violet for the laughter, friendship, and unforgettable memories. And my deepest gratitude to my teachers for their dedication and warm hearts. You all made this experience truly special, and I will always cherish the time I spent here forever.

I studied at LTL Korean Language School for about 77 days, starting Korean from absolute beginner level and progressing to elementary level, and I had a genuinely great experience. I learned so much that I didn’t know beforehand, and the teaching style made Korean feel approachable and practical from day one. The environment was relaxed, supportive, and motivating, which made it easy to stay consistent and enjoy learning. What really stood out was the staff and community. The team didn’t just teach — they truly cared about the students. They organized school activities, took us out to eat together, and created chances to connect and practice Korean outside the classroom. Huge thanks to Hailey, Lio, Manuel, 현영, and especially my teacher 고민시 — everyone was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful throughout my time there. If you’re serious about learning Korean and want a school that feels welcoming, engaging, and well-organized, I highly recommend LTL.

I have joined a 1-month intensive program at LTL with half day in a small group class and another 2 hours one-on-one in the afternoon every day. The school has not only offered a cozy study environment but has also organized different activities. Thanks to the staff and teachers who are super friendly and are always ready to help and particularly to Jennifer, my teacher who has been so patient and engaging. I had a fantastic time and hope to be back soon.

Did 10 weeks at LTL, with the first 5 weeks being group classes and the rest being a mix of group and 1-1. LTL’s small class structure is amazing and I felt like my Korean increased greatly as a result. Kyle’s teaching style is very effective, as you get an in-depth understanding of the language whilst also having fun. I reckon you will laugh quite a lot when in Kyle’s class because I certainly did. I also did a homestay experience with LTL and unfortunately wasn’t super pleased with the experience I had. Simply put, the family I got placed with did not suit my personality or expectations. However, I never mentioned this with LTL, but if I did they would have done everything in their power to make my experience better. If you are planning to stay for a while (more than a month), LTL’s homestay experience is a great way to experience Korean culture and enjoy delicious home cooked meals.

Had the most rewarding three weeks learning Korean in Seoul at LTL. My instructor, Minji, and the staff (Manuel, Hyunyoung, Lio, and Hailey) were super supportive and an absolutely pleasure to be around. Not only did my Korean improve, but I got to connect with other students and explore the city through the variety of after school activities. Can’t wait to be back! Thank you LTL Seoul!

I had the pleasure of learning Korean with 주희 at LTL Language School. She is a highly prepared, patient, and engaging teacher, with excellent communication skills. She is also very flexible and adaptable, always adjusting her lessons to suit my learning needs. In addition to teaching the language, she offered fascinating insights into Korean culture, which made the classes both enjoyable and enriching.

I attended class for two weeks and it was amazing! Both teachers I had, Jennifer and Yoonjeong, were super accomodating and very motivated to teach the students. I am glad I chose this school over the others and would recommend anyone to take a look at their program. Staff are also very friendly and helpful wherever you need it.

I spent two weeks at LTL Seoul with German Bildungsurlaub, and it was amazing. Although two weeks of intensive classes was demanding, my learning output was great! The team at LTL Seoul is very supportive and customer-oriented. My two teachers, Kyle and Hyeri, did an absolutely amazing job, and I wouldn't trade the world for anybody else. Both knew their students, class, and content outstandingly well and did an amazing job with the learners. The school is VERY conveniently located in Seoul itself but also in Hongdae. As prices for private language classes and language schools tend to be high, I would definitely always choose LTL, as their student-centered services are exceeding on all levels.

As a mature age student, I had the best study experience at LTL Seoul. Teachers were great and the staff were most helpful and very friendly, especially 현영, Kyle, Hyeri, Manuel, Max and many more. We went to dinners and drinks often as a big group after class. Learned a lot about the local culture and got to put what we learn from the classroom into real life. Thank you LTL!

I had such a great time over my 3 weeks here!! My teacher was lovely and really helpful, and there were only 2-3 people in my class so we could get very focused teaching. After classes we could go out for lunch together, which was a great opportunity to try new food and get to know students from different classes. I was paired with a really lovely homestay family about 30 minutes from the school who took care of me so well and cooked delicious meals. It's something a lot of people say, but I genuinely wish I could have stayed for longer than 3 weeks. All the staff and students were so kind, my homestay family truly became my friends, and overall it was such a welcoming environment. Thank you!!

The staff, teachers, students (and location) were all great. I believe that people make or break and experience and they really helped elevate my experience in Seoul. You can tell the staff here genuinely care about you as an individual. My favorite part of the experience was that they would take us to lunches and would sometimes also host activities in the afternoon/evening (usually 1/week). My class size was small enough that I got to ask questions and get 1:1 attention from the teacher. Even though other university language classes say they keep their class size small, there are usually over 10 people. I think that would've been too much. My teacher was very attentive, understanding, patient, and fun. She answered all my questions, and I really appreciated her focus on what is useful to know about speaking the language and not just what is "academic" to know about it. My friend is taking language classes at a University, but she says that the pacing is quite fast and people can't necessarily always ask their questions and can fall behind easily. If you are nervous about learning a language, I would definitely recommend LTL.

I am really satisfied with LTL- everybody if the staff was so helpful and everything was well organised. I liked the option to choose a course from 1 week to many weeks, so it was easy to adjust it with my vacation plans.

Had a great week at LTL Seoul. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. I learnt more in one week then months on end back home. The teachers were all really nice around school, the community is great and we also had welcome breakfast together, lunch together and went to Gyeongbokgung to wear Hanbok.

LTL really makes the whole process easy, from asking questions, to registering for the course, housing, ect. They are there to help before you come to Korea and still there for you once your in Korea. Staff and teachers have all been kind and informative. Really feel like I needed this language course to improve in my learning Korean journey! Truly recommend homestay as you get someone to practice speaking with and they are truely hospitable! And helpful in other ways as well. Drew me a map of how to get to the subway and even showed me multiple ways to get there and back home. I'm easily lost and had never taken the subway before so I really appreciated that!

LTL fosters an environment of community and eager learning. Through the students, the teachers, and staff, I enjoying learning again! We often get lunch together and enjoy activities over the weekend like dinner or going out for activities around Seoul. As someone who’s attended Yonsei and Sogang, I would easily choose LTL’s curriculums to continue my language learning.

Kudos to Manuel and Esther for helping myself and other students feel welcomed, and for planning activities that created a truly memorable experience during my time in Seoul. My teacher, Hyunyeong, did a great job at making learning Korean easy, fun, and enjoyable. If you plan on staying in Seoul for a while, you won’t regret taking some classes at LTL!

LTL was a great, chill environment to learn Korean. The class was well paced and our teacher was amazing. I feel as though I learned a lot despite only being there a short time and was able to use things I learned in conversation when speaking with locals. The teacher made the class fun with games and stories and being able to learn in a group helped us practice our speaking experience. If I ever get to come to Korea again, I will definitely come back. There are also events for all students to socialize and see parts of Korea. 10/10 recommended.

You want to enjoy studying Korean surrounded by a very professional and friendly team?... please apply there !!! You have never studied Korean before and you wander if you gonna be able to do it? ... then it is not a problem cause you can start from the bottom. And if you are more advanced in your Korean then the team will put you through the appropriate level class. Also if you want to experience the culture food, you can join the other students every day for a lunch with Manuel and discover new restaurants and feel the 'local atmosphere'. Also there are events organized outside the class, in the evening, if you want to join such as going to a karaoke , looking at the Lantern festival, going for a drink, .. And you can also make suggestions. But remember that you also gonna have home works, cause you are here to progress in Korean :-) I personally take at the moment a 5 weeks program with 4 hours of collective class in the morning and 2 to 4 hours of one to one class. It is intense (but i am here for that :-)) but it is also so much fun. The collective class is not crowdy at all. We were 4 students like week in my class and this week we are only 2 ! So if you have any questions, doubts .. please do not hesitate to contact Manuel who speaks English, French as a native speaker and also Spanish obviously!

LTL Korean Language is honestly an experience you have to do. Everyone here is so kind from your classmates to your teachers. Even though my stay was short I feel like I've left with a better understanding and more knowledge than before. I had the pleasure of learning from and she really goes the extra mile to make sure you understand. Through the program I stayed with one of the Home-stays and I love how they pick people who care and make you feel like a part of their family during your stay. Also, make sure you go to lunch and participate in the fun school activities thanks to Manuel's wonderful recommendations and planning!

Studying at LTL was an amazing experience. The teachers are friendly and highly qualified, always motivating us and offering personalized attention. Classes are dynamic and effective, complemented by cultural activities that enrich the learning experience. My experience at LTL Seoul was fantastic! My teacher was incredibly understanding, always going the extra mile to teach me what I specifically asked for, in addition to the material from the LTL-provided textbook. The location in Hongdae is perfect—such a vibrant area, full of cafes and even nightlife! There’s also a cool terrace where I could study after class. Manuel and Esther were always checking in to make sure I had everything I needed. LTL also organized fun lunches and dinners with other students, which made the experience even more enjoyable! My homestay family was so lovely and supportive, helping me with my Korean and creating unforgettable memories together. That’s why I can say that I have a Korean family now.

You get to live with a homestay family and play with them, communicate with them and eat with them and all this in Korean! What more does one need? The teaching at their school is top-notch and their school location is right in the center! I will come back often to keep improving my Korean. They also organize events in the evening for their students - it's a lot of fun and they are always available to help. This is without a doubt a great school to study Korean with! And remember, that family experience is priceless!

Located in the vibrant Hongdae district, LTL impressed me from the very beginning with its exceptional service. Their prompt, personalized responses to my emails, online phone calls, and chats addressed all of my questions and concerns before I even enrolled. This attentiveness was one of the main reasons I chose to join. The second reason was the location. Easily accessible by metro or bus, LTL is surrounded by a wide variety of affordable, delicious restaurants, all nestled in the lively and beautiful Hongdae area—making the location itself a significant draw. During the month I studied there, I participated in an intensive 4-hour-per-day course with outstanding teachers. These instructors not only guided me through my learning process, addressing any difficulties and doubts I had, but they also fostered a supportive atmosphere where I quickly gained confidence and improved my language skills. I left LTL with a strong sense of accomplishment and progress, thanks to the dedicated efforts of the teachers. Moreover, they provided a solid learning foundation that has made it easier for me to continue building my knowledge independently. One important point to mention is that I have very strict dietary requirements. The staff at LTL went above and beyond to help me navigate these challenges when dining out, even assisting me in selecting appropriate menu items. This level of care exceeded my expectations, and I am deeply grateful for their support. Additionally, both the teachers and administrative staff went out of their way to help me explore the city, find and enjoy fun activities, and make the most of my time in South Korea. In summary, I highly recommend LTL not only for learning Korean but also as a place to meet great friends and enjoy your time in Seoul.

Had an amazing time super fun and the staff are super nice. The first week I got there I already made some friends even my teachers were super nice. My first teacher even would give us Korean snacks if we did well! By my last week I had gotten close with the staff teachers and students would def recommend! :D

While my 2 months stay in Korea, I opted to subscribe in LTL Language school, perfect location as walking distance from Hongdae. I did intensive lessons 20h/week with a great teacher, 지수 ?, on 1-1 lesson and it was just great! She was a real treasure to me by explaining all in detail, while focusing on speaking, reading and repeating, so I really see a difference in my every day Korean. I hope to come back in October again.

My daughter (age 13) and I both had an excellent experience at LTL for two months of the summer. We learned Korean (she in a class and me with a private tutor), made friends, and learned about Korean culture. We ate at Korean restaurants and went to museums and parks. The staff is amazing, the building is modern and clean and located in the very happening neighborhoods between Hapjeong and Hongdae subway stops. We were sad to leave. We highly recommend LTL!
