Indonesian courses at our language school suit both beginners and more advanced students. You can learn at a level tailored to your previous knowledge. We determine this after a free placement exam and a short conversation. Our online lessons feature the newest teaching methods and course materials, in combination with expertise from highly qualified, experienced teachers with a degree in Indonesian as a foreign language. All these, plus instruction in the target language right from day one, promise rapid progress. Maybe you want to join an intensive course with friends, family, classmates, or colleagues and prepare for a stay abroad. We are happy to create an individual offer. Please note that most courses will be taught in both German and the target language (esp. beginner levels), so we recommend at least a B1/B2 level in German. You may contact us if you have any concerns about this. For some classes, particularly advanced levels or private lessons, you might not need any German.

Spend part of your summer studying language and culture in Java! Over nearly four transformative weeks, you’ll develop practical Bahasa Indonesia language skills while engaging deeply with local culture and everyday life in Yogyakarta, a city widely recognized as a center of Indonesian language, education, and living traditions. This program is designed to strengthen your speaking, listening, and comprehension skills through interactive classroom instruction, guided practice, and real-life application. Your language learning will be continuously reinforced through daily interactions with communities, host families, and peers, providing opportunities for you to use Bahasa Indonesia in authentic and meaningful contexts. During your time in Indonesia, you’ll also take part in hands-on cultural activities that highlight Javanese traditions, arts, and values, while exploring significant cultural and historical landmarks such as royal palaces, temples, and heritage sites. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of Indonesian society, build confidence in using Bahasa Indonesia, and develop lasting intercultural skills in one of Indonesia’s most dynamic academic and cultural centers.

Learn Indonesian on the island of Java while enjoying a short vacation in Yogyakarta. The school offers a family like atmosphere with professional and friendly teachers. Located in a typical building of the region, the school is only 15 minutes drive from the airport, train station, and city center. The school offers indoor air-conditioned classrooms, but many classes take place outdoors. Students will receive 20 private lessons per week, or 20 to 30 lessons per week for course lengths between two weeks and three weeks. Each lesson runs for about 50 minutes and accommodates a maximum of four students. While in Yogyakarta, students may live with a local host family or at a furnished studio apartment. Homestay accommodations includes two meals per day.

The DELE Preparatory Course is focused on students who wish to obtain the official certificate (Diploma de Español como Lengua Extranjera) granted by the Cervantes Institute on behalf of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport, the only official one that recognizes and certifies the degree of knowledge of the Spanish language. Our DELE Preparatory Course has 60 sessions of specific preparation for these examinations.
