French Study Abroad

Going to Saint Malo was one of the most memorable experience of my life. Everyday was packed with events and joy. Although it was just three weeks, I left Saint-Malo with incredible gifts in my heart - more confidence in speaking French, friends and a new family. I was very lucky to have had such a supportive host family. She was very thoughtful and entertaining, and she was the one who supported me linguistically and mentally throughout the stay. She even introduced to me a game that I fell in love with called, “rummikub” which I bought for myself as soon as I get back home. I met so many new friends from around the world, who I still stay in touch and FaceTime. I cannot speak fluent French, which lead to so many miscommunications, but still as I spoke more, it naturally started to stick to my brain. I had so many challenges, but looking back now, that all became a part of the amazing memories I have. I would highly recommend this program to any high schoolers who is eager to push themselves out of their comfort level to learn a language while having fun! One advice I would give is to bring card games. It can be a conversation starter even if your not good at the language. I felt my improvement in French the most when I interacted with my host family. It doesn't have to be card games, but anything that you can bring to the table and have fun with is a must-bring.

Studying French while actually living in France made such a huge difference. I started using the language confidently much faster because I practiced every single day outside class too. Met new people and new cities!

I took the intensive French course and was surprised by how quickly I improved. The classes were challenging in the best way and very conversation-focused. The conversations everyday helped a lot!!!!!

Kaplan gave me much more than language skills. I gained confidence, independence, unforgettable memories, and friendships from around the world. The experience was amazing meeting new friends and places!

The school had such a welcoming atmosphere. I improved my French a lot while also exploring Montreux! It was just a dream walking alongside the lake, it was paradise, reading and hanging there was amazing! Loved every part of the experience

Studying German abroad with Kaplan was the best decision I made. The immersion helped me improve faster than any app or online course I had tried before. And the new friends, activities and all the experience was really dynamic

One of my favorite things about Kaplan was meeting students from all over the world. Every day felt like a cultural exchange while improving my language skills naturally. And the city was amazing! I loved to get to know the city and make tourism in the afternoons and weekends!

The French teachers were amazing and made every lesson interactive and practical. I became much more confident speaking after only a few weeks in Nice. The place, the accommodation, the activities, I loved all the experience!

I studied German in Berlin and the experience exceeded all my expectations. The school environment was modern and international, and the city itself made practicing German super exciting. Everything was lovely!!

Living and studying French in Lyon was honestly a dream. Kaplan made the experience feel very immersive and authentic, and I loved practicing French daily with locals and classmates...................

The school offers a very supportive environment: the staff are kind and welcomed me warmly. The teacher was highly qualified, and the course programme was very clear. I started practising the language from the first week. What I liked most was that the programme was based on real life situations, which allowed me to practise the language outside the classroom as well. People in the school are very welcoming and kind.

Studying with Kaplan was honestly one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I improved my English so much faster than I expected, but what I loved most was how international and immersive everything felt. I met people from all over the world and felt like I was truly living the language every day.

Teachers, programs, destinations... everything was great :) I studied French in Nice and the coastal vibes where amazing. You really get to be in an immersive environment and you get know a lot of people!

I chose the ILCF to study French because of its outstanding professors, the qualifications it offers, and its location in a neighborhood I highly recommend to anyone wanting to immerse themselves in Parisian life. All my professors were always committed to helping me reach my full potential and provided me with the tools I needed to adapt and thrive in my life in France.

My name is Viktoriia, I’m 19 years old, and I’m from Ukraine. I studied at the ILCF for two semesters, and I absolutely loved the experience. The professors were incredibly kind and helped me improve so much. Thanks to them, I now speak with much more confidence. I also made amazing friends from all over the world. I’m truly grateful to the ILCF—it helped me take a big step toward my dream of attending university in France.

What I particularly appreciate about ICP is the quality of the teaching. Thanks to the carefully prepared methods of each professor, my French level has improved significantly over the past two years. Additionally, ICP is a place where you can make wonderful friends, regardless of age, background, or nationality—you never feel isolated!

Leur maison est belle et Caroline est un bonne guidée et proff. Les excursions et le nourriture préparée par Caroline m’a aide sentir totalement immersed dans la culture de française. Je le recommanderai l’expérience à toute.

We spent 6 nights with Dominique in her beautiful home in Burzet. The entire experience surpassed all our expectations! Dominique drew on her well-established professional teaching career to help us develop our French language skills and increase our confidence; she expertly navigated the balance between pushing us to try new things without overwhelming us. We appreciated the daily structure of revision, development and then preparation for whichever outing we had chosen, and on which Dominique always accompanied us. Our accommodation was lovely: a sensitively converted chapel with unique artistic touches, en suite bathroom and private terrace. Dominique is also an excellent chef and we were treated to all sorts of local cuisine, often eating on the outside terrace with magnificent views over the valley. We honestly could not recommend our home stay with Dominique more and plan to return. We both learnt a lot, but also had a LOT of fun.

We worked during the mornings on vocabulary and grammar and enjoyed excursions during the afternoon. We talked often about everything; current events, cooking, life in general. Meals were delicious and convivial. I know I have learned a lot and my experience could not have been better.
