Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a specific level of Spanish to join the program?

No! We welcome students of all levels, from absolute beginners (A1) to advanced learners (C1/C2). On your first day, you will take a placement test to ensure you are in the right group for your fluency level.

Why should I choose Úbeda over a big city like Madrid or Barcelona?

Úbeda offers a total immersion experience. Unlike major hubs, English is rarely spoken here, which "forces" you to practice Spanish in real-life situations. It is also safer, more affordable, and home to some of the most stunning Renaissance architecture in the world—without the tourist crowds.

What kind of accommodation do you offer?

We highly recommend our Homestay program with local families. It is the best way to practice Spanish outside of class and discover the famous Andalusian hospitality and gastronomy. For those seeking more independence, we also offer shared apartments and local hotel options.

Are the nature excursions (like the Brave Bull or Cazorla) included?

Our standard program includes weekly cultural activities in the city. Specialized excursions—such as visiting a Brave Bull (Toro Bravo) ranch or guided hiking in Cazorla Natural Park—can be added as "extra" modules to your course to customize your adventure.

Do I need a visa to study with you?

If you are from the EU, you don't need a visa. For non-EU students (USA, Canada, UK, etc.), you can study for up to 90 days on a tourist visa. For longer programs, you will need a Student Visa. We provide the official "Letter of Acceptance" required for your visa application once you are enrolled.
