Technology Internships in Singapore

This 2 month experience I just got was genuinely the best decision I have made while in college so far. It completely changed my perspective on how it is to live in Southeast Asia, and I believe that with the right opportunity, I would live in Singapore for a couple of years. I lived my host company and the culture they have. The best part of the program was all of the new relationships I was able to build, and the weekend trips we took helped a lot with that. I was honestly sadder to leave Singapore more than I was excited to get back to the United States.

I had an amazing six-month experience with Asia Internship Program. From the very beginning, the entire process of finding my internship was incredibly smooth and well organized, which made everything much less stressful. Throughout my six months, I felt genuinely supported whenever I needed help or had questions. I would especially like to thank Nisha Shahi for always being available, guiding me, and providing support whenever I needed it. I recently completed a four-month internship in Singapore with Ecolah, focusing on the import and distribution of organic food products from Spain. This opportunity provided me with strong exposure to international logistics, customs documentation, and supply chain coordination. I gained hands-on experience in managing import procedures, supporting inventory operations, and maintaining communication with distributors to ensure smooth product flow. I would especially like to express my appreciation to the founder Beatriz Cadenas and the business development head Natalia Sarmiento , who consistently guided me and encouraged me to take on meaningful responsibilities. Their mentorship helped me develop a deeper understanding of how strategic decisions are made in a competitive market like Singapore. They created a supportive environment where learning and professional growth were always valued. Overall, this internship significantly enhanced my skills and broadened my global business perspective. I am truly grateful for the experience and highly recommend Ecolah to anyone looking to build a strong foundation in international trade and business development.

Singapore with Absolute Internship was a truly life-changing experience. The housing was incredible—fantastic building and amenities all on top of a mall! The convenience was unbelievable, and it was possible to get to most places in Singapore from the residence without stepping outside. The internship itself was so rewarding and developmental. My company balanced my work so well, ensuring I got all the relevant experience I could want while giving me plenty of time to explore Singapore. Absolute's team's communication was fantastic as well. At one point, I felt underutilized at my internship, so I reached out to see what I could do. Within a week, they had communicated with my bosses, and I was getting put onto more tasks, more leadership in my internship, and everything was incredibly useful and fruitful after that. The helpfulness of the staff, the facilities and resources Absolute offered, not to mention the amazing weekend trips and the experience of my internship, made me 100% confident that my decision was right—that Absolute Internship is truly the best abroad internship program out there.

Got placed at a horrible company at first but within a week was placed at a different company after telling the program coordinator what was going on. Extremely professional and understanding staff! The weekend trips and other events organised with the other interns are all extremely helpful in getting comfortable in your program location and it’s super easy to make friends! Definitely a good cv boost as an added bonus!

Interning in Singapore was probably the best program I could've participated in this past summer. Not only did I gain tangible technical skills in bond pricing and market analysis as I helped close a $60 million bond deal, but I also got the chance to develop my soft professional skills as I got to interact directly with C-suite executives and had multiple chances to present my work or thoughts in team meetings. Beyond being incredibly helpful for my professional development, this program also gave me a wider appreciation for Southeast Asia. As I was in Singapore, I was able to travel around on the weekends to explore different countries across Southeast Asia, and participating in the local culture and eating local food were core memories that I won't forget.

I've had a great experience using AIP to find an internship in Singapore. As part of my university course I got to spend 4 months doing an internship overseas, and I chose AIP to help with that. I knew I wanted to do an internship in Asia but I wasn't sure how to go about it on my own, and using AIP really took off a lot of the stress that I would have had if I had had to find an internship by my self. They were very attentive and kept in regular contact. I really liked that they put me in touch with the other AIP interns in Singapore, we met up a couple of times which was really nice. So yep It's been really great and I would definitely recommend using them.

Great program!! Made my dream come true to complete an internship in Singapore in my preferred field of work Aerospace Engineering and supported me along the way, from finding an interview till the signing of the contract. Even after that they were keen to help regarding the preparations for the work abroad and also took care of me during the internship by frequently asking about my status! Had a great experience with AIP in Singapore working on biotechnology and soil regeneration. I learnt a lot and it's a very safe country. AIP helped to set me up with a great organisation that aligned with my interests.

AIP helped me find the right company. During the interview process, they tried to help me find a company as soon as possible, which was very nice. I mean when I have interview with the first one and I've got an answer so, I asked them about to follow up and they just arrange a new one so, which it made me happy!

I had an amazing experience with AIP during my 6-week internship in Singapore. From the start, everything was super smooth, and I felt like I had a solid support system backing me up the entire time. AIP was always available to answer any questions I had, whether big or small, and their responsiveness made everything feel much easier to manage. This was an overall great experience both professionally and personally, I was able to work in a corporate finance role for an interesting fintech business in Singapore and network with other finance professionals in the country, while having enough time to see the sights and enjoy the city’s culture, nightlife, and food. AIP’s staff were friendly and helpful in organising the program. The accomodation was safe and the location was decent, but it wasn’t anything fancy. However, I was here with four other students from my university, which made it even more enjoyable. I’d recommend this program to other students looking to build their resume and explore a new country while they’re doing it.

During my time in Singapore, I had the opportunity to work at Sixmoredays, a vibrant marketing agency specialising in design and social media. My work experience was incredibly enriching; I collaborated with talented professionals and learned new skills that will benefit me in my career. The team was welcoming and supportive, making the workplace a dynamic environment where ideas flowed freely, and creativity thrived. Outside of work, I thoroughly enjoyed Singapore’s bustling social scene. The city is a melting pot of cultures, offering a wide array of food, festivals, and events to explore. The efficient public transportation made it easy to visit iconic sights like Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay, and Chinatown, which added excitement to my weekends. However, one aspect of my stay fell short—my accommodation. Although I anticipated a comfortable living situation, the reality was disappointing. The room lacked proper maintenance, and the facilities were not up to standard, which dampened an otherwise enjoyable stay. Despite this, the overall experience was memorable and rewarding. I would recommend Singapore for its career opportunities and vibrant lifestyle, but I advise future visitors to carefully vet their accommodation to ensure a more comfortable stay.

Interning and living in Singapore this past summer was incredible! My internship at a private equity firm, which focused on education investments, has enabled me to gain hands-on experience through analyzing potential deals, interviewing company founders, helping with financial modeling, and reviewing company documents including investment memorandums and short diligence reports. As part of the deals team, I had great mentorship and learning opportunities where I received support from my coworkers, especially my supervisor. On the weekends, I enjoyed exploring Singapore with friends and visiting attractions such as the Botanical Gardens, Peranakan Houses, and Universal Studios. I also tried a wide variety of delicious and affordable cuisine, from local staples such as nasi lemak at hawker centres to cakes at nearby cafes. I'm so glad I had this opportunity to have international work experience in emerging markets while immersed in the culture of Singapore.

Being abroad is so much fun but it can definitely be stressful, however, absolute made the whole experience so enjoyable. The staff was super helpful and made sure I had what I needed the entire time I was there.

Coming to Singapore with Absolute Internship has been such an incredible experience. It was my first time in Singapore and I met wonderful people from the program and work. My program coordinators have also been extremely supportive of the students in the program. Overall, as my first time coming to Singapore let alone gaining an internship abroad, I had an amazing time.
