RECRUITING NOW! This internship is an opportunity to gain experience within a dental department of a hospital in Cape Coast and possibly some credits to go towards your degree. Ghanaians have access to dental treatment in most major hospitals. The setup and the working conditions are very different from what you are accustomed to in your home country. The dental department deals with emergencies as well as routine dental appointments. During this internship, you will be exposed to the challenges dentists, as well as patients in need of dental care, encounter in developing countries. The lack of knowledge on preventative dental hygiene might expose you to advanced dental conditions. This is a great experience abroad to help launch your medical dental career. You must either be a professional in the field or a student currently studying related courses to be eligible for this program. If you are planning to study dentistry, you can also apply for this internship, although you must demonstrate a strong commitment to the field.

Are you looking for a hands-on dentistry experience or a meaningful volunteer opportunity abroad? Do you want to serve rural communities and share your passion and skills in healthcare while exploring Ghana? If you're a professional dentist, dental hygienist, or dental student, St. Miracle Works Educational Foundation (SMWEF) can arrange a rewarding volunteer placement where your expertise is truly needed. SMWEF’s dentistry volunteer program offers you the chance to work directly with local patients while helping underserved communities in places you might never visit otherwise. You’ll support local clinics and hospitals that are often critically understaffed, especially in dental care. Your knowledge and dedication to oral health will make a real difference. With limited access to dental care and oral hygiene education in many areas, your help is vital. We believe everyone deserves access to oral health, and your contribution can bring much-needed relief to growing numbers of patients in need.
