School of Visual Arts (SVA) is a college of art and design whose mission is to educate students who aspire to become professional artists or to work in arts' many related fields.

Overlooking the historical center, the university is located on top of the Janiculum, Rome’s highest hill. With its own garden of Roman pines it offers a spectacular view of Rome and the surrounding hills.

The American Institute for Roman Culture offers extraordinary programs and projects for university students and scholars in a unique interdisciplinary learning environment. We live and work in the heart of Rome, as do our students, with a network of local scholars and ties to Italian superintendencies (including the Italian Ministry of Culture, MiBAC) and foreign institutes.

We are a leading provider of study abroad programs since 1979. Over 10,000 students from more than 250 different colleges & universities nationwide have participated in our programs. Our mission is to create programs with enriching living & learning experiences abroad.

Summer Abroad is one of three study abroad programs offered through the Education Abroad Center (EAC), a unit of the University Outreach and International Programs office. UC Davis Summer Abroad programs offer students short but intense academic courses that are complemented with a wealth of cultural activities.
