Film Study Abroad in Italy

Be captivated by the Italian culture in the historic city of Florence with Fairfield University. Students choose from different programs ranging from Anthropology to Sociology, Film to Communications. Participants earn 15 college credits and can opt to enroll in an Italian Language course where they earn an additional three college credits.

Unlike many other study abroad programs, Athena offers its students programs that are focused on intense, cultural immersion which puts them in touch with the locals of their host country, elements of the host culture, and other international students from around the world to ensure a well-rounded, diverse experience.

API offers five wonderful locations in Italy to learn about and absorb the Italian culture and way of life. All programs are for undergraduate students. Classes are comprised of other foreign and American students. Semester, summer, and year terms are available for all programs, and a January intersession programs are available in Florence and Taormina.

Even if you have had no previous Italian language experience, you can take advantage of our Italian language programs at one of our two well-known Italian institutions in Florence or Rome. Typify the energy and self-indulgence found in the Mediterranean country of Italy.
