Classical Civilization Study Abroad in Italy

Unlike many other study abroad programs, Athena offers its students programs that are focused on intense, cultural immersion which puts them in touch with the locals of their host country, elements of the host culture, and other international students from around the world to ensure a well-rounded, diverse experience.

API offers five wonderful locations in Italy to learn about and absorb the Italian culture and way of life. All programs are for undergraduate students. Classes are comprised of other foreign and American students. Semester, summer, and year terms are available for all programs, and a January intersession programs are available in Florence and Taormina.

Whether you are pursuing a four-year degree or are seeking to study abroad, you will do so in the heart of Rome surrounded by the extraordinarily rich offerings of a city of culture, history, art, creativity, business and international affairs.

This semester program is provided in locations throughout Italy. Developed by The Aegean Center for the Fine Arts, students enjoy studio arts including painting, drawing, and also creative writing within a small group of students. This program is fully-accredited and offers scholarships, grants, and other awards. In order to qualify, advanced students must submit a portfolio.

Our academic calendar follows a semester system, including January and Summer sessions to accommodate the schedule of students from the US. Experience extraordinary art and architecture firsthand while living in a center of European history and culture, and work with renowned Cornell faculty. Courses are offered both fall and spring semesters in architectural design, history and theory, studio art, art history, contemporary Italian culture, and Italian language.

Study Abroad In Europe is an enrollment office for English speaking students who desire to study in Italy for a semester or a year. Our office take students through the enrollment process, help them with all documents required to obtain a student visa, arrange housing accommodation and offers the lowest student air fare from USA and UK.
