All participants engage in the International Internship Seminar, conducted in English, which includes 15 hours of asynchronous online modules. The seminar encourages reflection on your internship experience, enhances your understanding of Argentine business culture, and helps you build key professional skills. You’ll also collaborate with IFSA peers interning in other countries through a shared online cohort. Internship placements are conducted in Spanish, allowing you to apply your language skills in a meaningful context. 2026 Puentes Abroad Summer Internship Program

Our in-person and remote internship programs are carefully planned and thoughtfully implemented. We are with you every step of the way to ensure that your professional experience is meaningful and that you are culturally immersed in Argentina and Uruguay. The Puentes program provides a comprehensive professional and cultural immersion experience in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Montevideo, Uruguay, or remotely. The internship is eight weeks, with in-person participants arriving on the Thursday prior to the internship start date and departing on the Saturday after the internship concludes. In today’s hybrid work culture, some internships may be conducted entirely in person, while others may offer a combination of in-person and virtual work. From Puentes, we set the expectation that an in-person internship will have at least 2 to 3 days per week of work take place in person at the company’s office and/or at a co-working space where the company meets.

Projects Abroad in Argentina

Argentina is an amazing place to volunteer or intern abroad. Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world, the second largest country in South America and a place of extremes. You'll be amazed by the breathtaking scenery and great diversity in its landscapes. Theres much to explore, ranging from its extensive Atlantic coastline through to glaciers, Andean mountains, and the vast Pampas. Our projects are available for anyone interested in volunteering in the developing world, including those on a college summer break, gap year, career break, or volunteer vacation. Volunteers have the opportunity to join us in Argentina on our projects in Childcare, Equine therapy, Teaching, Medicine, Dentistry, Human Rights, Sports, Journalism, and Veterinary Medicine & Animal Care. Volunteers who wish to take Spanish have the opportunity to take one-on-one Spanish language lessons with Projects Abroad staff. This can be done exclusively or alongside a volunteer project. This was the best experience of my life. Since day one, our coordinator, Brenda, was super communicative and very helpful throughout the whole trip. This was such a unique experience, and I will carry it with me forever!
