Our Work & Travel Canada program gives U.S. citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 a chance to experience the beauty of our northern neighbor while earning money throughout the year. Start with an arrival orientation in Vancouver or Toronto and continue with job support throughout your program. If you already have a job in mind we can also help you organize your 12-month working holiday visa! A Working Holiday is an opportunity to travel and explore a new country while taking on short-term jobs at places like ski resorts, restaurants and hotels or in manual labor positions. We offer pre-departure support, including visa application information and general advice, as well as job search and travel support throughout your time in Canada.

Schools also have the option to include our family immersion program, where students live with a Spanish host family and experience daily routines, local customs, and traditional food. Our school trips are based in Seville, a truly Spanish city known for its rich history and artistic heritage. From Seville, students will enjoy cultural activities, Spanish classes, and a variety of excursions around the region. Join us this summer on an amazing Greece and Italy adventure travel program for teens. Explore ancient ruins and breathtaking natural landscapes, and savour the freshest, most incredible food in this program that takes you off the beaten path. See breathtaking views from the seaside villages of Cinque Terre and tour the wondrous ruins of Athens. Explore Greek islands with a SCUBA diving lesson in Naxos, plus kayaking and sunset views in Santorini. This program, led by friendly trip leaders, places teens into co-ed, age-compatible groups that are fun, inclusive, and dynamic for all. The detailed itinerary allows the flexibility to (perhaps) find a new favourite beach or sample every gelato stand along the way! Follow the history of the Inca starting in Lima, the modern-day capital of Peru, and culminating at the heights of majestic Machu Picchu. This program includes community service while in Lima, where you’ll explore the historic center and the pre-Hispanic ceremonial sites of the Inca. Boat to the islands off the striking Pacific coast and travel to the desert oasis of Huacachina. Visit the mysterious Nazca Lines and then head to magical Cusco. This program includes the flight from Lima to Cusco, the former capital of the powerful Inca Empire. Delight in the archaeological feats and with Inca ruins, the stunning sacred valley and charming colonial architecture. Our journey will take us to the heights of Machu Picchu and the Peruvian Andes.

Experience complete cultural immersion in this one-week program meant for volunteers and interns. It combines language learning, exploring incredible places, and immersing yourself in the culture and history of Tanzania. You can stay in Amani Hostel or choose to live with a selected host family to truly experience the local way of life. Day 1: Orientation about life and culture in Tanzania as well as start your Swahili language course. Day 2: Continue your Swahili lessons and watch a video presentation about Tanzanian wildlife and the Maasai people. Day 3: Spend the day exploring Arusha and Maasai villages. Day 4: Continue your Swahili lessons, join a short cultural program, and then head to nearby beaches. Day 5: Continue your Swahili lessons and listen to traditional Tanzanian music. Visit a village museum to observe its culture and artists. Day 6: Spend the day visiting national parks in and around Arusha, and then travel to Moshi. Embark on a 10-day Annapurna Trek – Ghorepani & Poon Hill with Adventure Walkways, exploring the heart of Nepal’s Himalayas. This moderate trek combines nature, culture, and breathtaking mountain panoramas, passing through traditional Gurung and Magar villages, terraced fields, and lush rhododendron and oak forests. Witness the iconic sunrise from Poon Hill (3,210 m) and, for adventure seekers, optional excursions to Annapurna Base Camp (~4,130 m). Relax in the soothing hot springs at Jhinu Danda and enjoy comfortable tea house accommodations throughout the trek. Along the route, take in stunning views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Hiunchuli, and surrounding peaks. Seeds of Change seeks to train young biology students in comparative microbial bioinformatics to give them a leg up in this burgeoning field. Students study microbial bioinformatics because microbes are central to all environments on the planet, drive biogeochemical cycles, and perform functions vital to all life forms. Before students travel to Costa Rica, they are introduced to the Joint Genome Institute’s (JGI) Integrated Microbial Genomes and Microbiomes (IMG/M) platform, a gateway to sophisticated genome databases and analysis tools. The five interactive pre-trip modules present a seminal case study that applies the fundamentals of genetics (DNA structure, replication, transcription, translation and gene regulation) to an insect-bacteria symbiotic relationship. Once in Costa Rica, students work with a partner to generate their original research question and use their new-found expertise in microbial bioinformatics to develop a poster of their research. Students engage in off-site activities that include guided hikes in the cloud forest, a zipline adventure in the cloud forest, a coffee tour, a horseback ride in the cloud forest, and a sea turtle marine research experience.
