Hawai'i Marine Animal Response Volunteer Programs

Join the Hawai'i Marine Animal Response (HMAR) team to protect and preserve Hawaii's marine wildlife. Our volunteers play a crucial role in various programs, including field support, rescue and stranding response, animal care, marine debris removal, and operations support. Each program offers unique opportunities to engage in meaningful conservation work, ensuring the well-being and recovery of Hawaii's marine species. If you are: Passionate about marine conservation and community service. Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently and as part of a team. Access to reliable transportation and necessary equipment (e.g., digital camera, binoculars). Physically fit to perform tasks. Can commit to a minimum of 2 - 6 hours activity sessions each week for a minimum of 1 year.
