Agriculture Volunteering in Rural Areas, Fiji

My previous accommodation with Projects Abroad was canceled by my institution days before I was scheduled to leave. When given the option of doing a different project, this company was incredibly flexible and was able to ensure all my needs were met to have a successful project. I truly loved my time in Arusha, Tanzania, and believe that this experience happened for a reason. I would not change it for the world!

november 2023 i decided to take a leap of faith into the unknown world. little did i know that this experience was going to change my life ! there are literally no words to explain how incredible, amazing, unforgettable and rewarding my trip was. the public health project really helped me to see what healthcare is like and the importance of community outreaches. the medical knowledge and the cultural lifestyles that i learnt on this project is something that i will really value while continuing my nursing studies. this project made me realise the importance and the high demand of healthcare workers around the world. not only did it make me want to thrive to become a nurse it reminded me why i chose this career. just thinking about it right now makes me smile so much? there is no way that i can explain my whole experience in this paragraph and no words will ever be enough to explain how incredible this trip was. i am so lucky to have met many amazing people along the way and now i made friends from around the world. friends that will last a lifetime ! it really is true how small acts of kindness can take you a long way. this project has helped me appreciate everything that life has to offer, to live in the moment, challenge new things and enjoy every moment of life. the projects abroad staff in cambodia are not only staff they are my family. no matter where you are in the world i know that cambodia will always have a special place in my heart. my dream is to come back to cambodia as a registered nurse ! i can't wait to volunteer with projects abroad in the future. sending lots of love to my cambodian family and friends.
