Dance Study Abroad Programs in Spain

The USAC program is based at the University of Alicante, which has a student population of 30,000 and offers two diverse academic areas: Intensive Language and Spanish and European Studies. Have the opportunity to study the Spanish language and the complexities of Spanish and contemporary European societies through a wide selection of academic courses, as well as through personal interaction with the host culture. You may stay for one semester or a full year. Our intensive approach allows you to complete up to two years of university foreign language coursework in only one semester, helping meet Spanish minor or major requirements. The summer Alicante Program offers two sessions, a five-week session and a four-week session with the option of a four-day visit to Madrid. This program is ideal for those unable to participate in semester or yearlong programs. Students may combine intensive Spanish language courses and elective courses for a minimum of 3 credits and a maximum of 6 credits per summer session. A sailing course is also offered in summer to take advantage of living so close to the Mediterranean Sea.

Spend a semester or academic year in Granada, Spain, with AIFS Abroad! You’ll earn up to 20 credits per semester through various courses at the University of Granada. Courses are taught in English or Spanish, depending on the program. Volunteer opportunities in a variety of areas are available to all students. At the end of the semester, you will receive a certificate of participation. Live in a Spanish homestay, an apartment, or a student residence (for an additional fee). Homestay students receive three meals daily, while residence students receive three meals from Monday through Saturday. Apartment students have access to a shared kitchen for meal preparation. Abbey Road offers a two, three, or four-week Spanish immersion and homestay program in Cadiz, Spain, this July. Cadiz is the ideal summer study program location for high school students looking to gain all the benefits of a Spanish immersion program while enjoying the beauty of the Spanish coast. This unique Spanish homestay program is designed for students seeking intensive Spanish immersion, with the option of participating in a wide range of elective classes, specialty workshops, and weekend excursions. Apart from enrolling in the daily Spanish language course as their program major, students can select optional workshops and seminars which include Introduction to Spanish Film, Spanish Tapas Tasting, Water Sports, Art History and Architecture of Southern Spain, and Introduction to Salsa Dancing. The Summer program comprises two 3 1/2 week terms offering an intensive academic experience with a rich cultural component.
