Spend a semester or academic year in the classic city of Rome with AIFS Abroad. Earn up to 17 credits studying at AIFS Abroad Global Education Center and receive credits from Fairfield University. No previous Italian language study is required. All programs begin with a 1-week language and cultural orientation. Choose between 4 academic programs: • Multi-Discipline • Intensive Italian Language Program • Study + Internship Program • Music Program (for music majors, in conjunction with Saint Louis College of Music) • Independent Study Courses Volunteer opportunities are also available. Students can choose from the Service Learning and Volunteering Program and the Service Learning and Active Citizenship course. Rome is a living historical museum—a place like no other for studying not only the history of the world but specifically the history of the Christian church. As an EU city of over three million people, it remains a significant, relevant urban center today. The discipline of history concerns itself with the stories and interpretations that provide meaning for human life. Just as with individuals, loss of historical memory makes societies, faith, movements, and ideas rootless. This is why Veritas has given special priority to the Christian study of history. To properly engage with other nations, whether through education, evangelism, or business, we must know their histories. We must understand our background and the backgrounds of others if we are going to develop effective relationships. Students will have the opportunity to study their fields for credit, as well as serve the Italian community in Rome, and enroll in our Veritas courses.

Your Open Campus Block program in Rome lasts 6, 12, or 18 weeks and is designed to be completely customizable. Study at NYU Florence and experience one of the world's most culturally significant cities. Students live either on the NYU Florence estate or in an apartment or homestay in downtown Florence. Take full advantage of the city’s many historic and cultural offerings through faculty-led trips throughout the city and the Tuscan region. NYU’s academic center is housed on La Pietra, a 57-acre estate situated in the hills above Florence. The beautiful, historic estate contains five 15th-century villas where students live and learn. Villa La Petra, for instance, features a museum showcasing a collection of early Renaissance art and furnishings. Villa Ulivi has classrooms, a computer lab, a book reserve reading room, and a cafe. And Villa Natalia contains staff offices, a lounge, a small gym, and a dining hall. The estate offers ample open space, including several gardens and olive groves where students can relax, explore, and enjoy breathtaking views of the city of Florence. World Class Programs offers high school students the opportunity to study abroad in Florence, Italy. Our summer program is designed for teens from all academic backgrounds who are excited about immersing themselves in Italian culture and lifestyle. This pre-college program offers various course study options, including Art History, Fine Arts, Philosophy, Photography, Architecture, Italian language, and Tuscan Cuisine. Students can choose a major course for daily focus (Monday to Friday) in the mornings for three hours. Then, they attend elective classes, each lasting two hours, three times a week in the afternoons. On weekends, they go on day trips around Italy to explore cultural differences from city to city. Temple University Rome offers a four-year Bachelor's degree program and well as a First-year Entry Year program (TREY) where students then complete Years 2-4 either at Temple University in Philadelphia or Temple University Japan. Temple University Rome offers study abroad semester or academic year programs of full-time study designed primarily for third-year undergraduate students. Students may choose from 55+ degree programs with topics ranging from art to international business, and from global studies to computer science. Internships for credit are available. Except for Italian language courses, all instruction is in English.
