The International School is an integral part of the University of Haifa. As a student in the International School you will be joining students from all over the world who have come to Israel to enhance their education. You will also be studying and living with Israeli students. In Summer, Hokkaido is the best location to study Japanese and enjoy activities with Japanese people. Our small number Japanese class help your Japanese learning with trips and opportunities to practice your language skills in real life situations! Hokkaido JaLS takes our standard 15 Japanese lessons per week and add two traditional culture experiences per week for six weeks. Our students have the chance to experience a variety of Japanese culture, such as trying on kimono, making sushi, and tea ceremonies. Japanese volunteers participate in many of these events, giving students the opportunity to improve their Japanese in a setting other than the classroom and to make friends and experience Japan from the inside, not just as a tourist.
