International Relations Study Abroad Programs in London, England

My time at Richmond has been the best 3 weeks of my life. I've never felt freer and happier. I have made so many friends along the way that I will never forget, friends that I laughed with until we were all out of breath and crying. The history that London has is almost unreal, walking by churches that are older than America. Everyone was unbelievably kind, at concerts we were upgraded to front row seats, and in class we were given opportunities to see Oxford and York - both of which were some of the best moments I had with the friends I made. Our professor was always willing to answer two million questions, before Richmond I had never had fun learning. I'll never forget my time in London with Richmond and every opportunity it's given me.

I would 100% recommend CIEE Study Abroad. I stayed in London for all 3 of my blocks, and the staff could not have been more helpful and supportive throughout my time here. They have helped me grow as a student, and as a person in the last 4 months, and I have found a city that I have fallen in love with. The planned events were always perfectly timed with the seasons and had a variety to choose from every block. I plan on returning in spring of 2027 through CIEE again!

I was on London for the two three-week sessions. The classes were excellent and I really enjoyed my class about Shakespeare. We traveled to the Globe theatre to see multiple productions, then had wonderful conversations. Through USAC, there were opportunities to travel outside of London and spend time in lesser known attractions, which let me explore more than just the city. Overall, it balanced both independence to see the city and do whatever you wanted while also letting you have more structure and planned trips.

I had a great time studying abroad in London for a semester. I was able to experience student life and make friends with people in my classes. I got to immerse myself culturally while still making time for my studies. I got to visit a lot of museums through the program as well.

During June 2025 I studied Managing Project and Events in London at University of Roehampton. I had an absolutely incredible time immersing myself in the London lifestyle, meeting other students from London, exploring famous monuments, and even going outside of London to some other English towns with other USAC students. I am interested in Project Management after undergraduate studies and this course that I took in London helped me immensely in understanding the resources and tools used in Project Management. I also went to some well-known sports facilities and the Shard for some class trips. The faculty and staff at the University of Roehampton made it very easy to navigate around campus and made us feel as if London was a second home. On the weekends I went with some of the other USAC students to other English towns including Brighton, Bath & Stone Henge, and Margate. We all had a wonderful time exploring those towns together as these were new sights for many of us. I am so grateful and happy that I had the opportunity to study abroad in London as it showed me that there are so many opportunities out in the world for people to take a part in and grow.

The CIEE staff clearly really care about us and how we do. Ashlyn is very organized, and really tries her hardest to fix any issue we have with courses. The teachers at Villanova University are also all AMAZING and so kind.

I think it is a great program, obviously. It's super cool to just spend a really potent six weeks in a country, develop some passionate friendships, and then move on to the next place. I think I have learned a lot so far, and it's only the end of the first block

When I decided I wanted to go abroad, I was nervous about a lot of things. First off, I was scared that when I went abroad I would have to settle for a location I did not want to be in because I needed my credits to transfer over. Luckily AIFS had a program in a wonderful city with a bunch of classes that would transfer back to my home university super well. When I chose this program, I was overjoyed but nervous about living in a homestay. When I got there I was happily surprised to find that my host family was amazing and provided me with an experience I would not have been able to have if I had been in a dorm/apt. The people that I met in the program were some of the coolest people I have ever known and am happy to call them my friends to this day. If you are looking for a great program in Paris where you have the freedom to meet new people, travel, and find yourself in a new place, I would 100% recommend this to you!

It’s an amazing opportunity to see the world and isn’t as expensive as some other programs! They’re super hands on, which I personally like because it’s nice to know you have a support system that cares about you when you’re thousands of miles away from your family or friends. The people that work here are so nice and genuinely want to get to know you and make you feel cared about. I was so scared to study abroad, but the second I got here, I knew I was in the right hands and felt cared about. It's nice to know you have a whole team of people who have your back when doing something super out of your comfort zone. I also like that they conduct excursions within our classes but also for the program as a whole.

I had such a great time at Lite Regal Education Summer School 2025 The Intensive English course really helped my English improve a lot in such a short time. I also met so many new friends from different countries everyone was super kind and friendly.

the staff is wonderful and very accommodating to different situations. I would specifically like to add that with the London program Ashlyn is AMAZING. made the whole experience a million times easier. I especially loved the eventbrite excursions we can sign up for to explore more

I think the entire staff is very supportive and genuinely cares about each and every student. The program is organized in such a way that each student gets not only the best experiences, but also education, support, and knowledge of their new temporary home.

Studying abroad in London with USAC was an incredible experience! The program made it easy to adjust, and the staff was always supportive and welcoming. I loved exploring the city, meeting new friends, and learning in such a vibrant environment. It was truly a life-changing opportunity that I’ll always be grateful for!

Initially I was hesitant to study abroad due to never being to another country before. However, a few of my peers recommended Arcadia to me due to their semester-long program in London. Thus, I decided to take a chance and apply. Several months later, I was landing in Heathrow Airport and being greeted by Arcadia staff. From the onboarding process to the departure process, Arcadia was there for me every step of the way. Their staff does everything they can to make your experience as enjoyable as possible. I personally cannot recommend Arcadia enough after experiencing their program in London. However, they are not just limited to London. They offer study abroad programs in many other countries too.

My study abroad experience was nothing short of amazing. I loved my walks through the Hampstead Heath, taking the tube, indulging in British cuisine and visiting the year round markets like Camden and bourough market. I highly recommend it to everyone! It was the best choice I’ve ever made! It is now a goal of mine to live in London!

This was truly one of the best experiences of my life! Studying abroad was such an amazing opportunity I will never forget. I made some of the best memories and had incredible experiences every single day. The USAC program and Dara my program director were so helpful with every step and all my questions along the way, I felt super supported. While living in London for ninth months, I was able to work as a bartender, travel to 13 other countries and study film hands-on making several short films. It was so perfect, I would recommend to anyone! I would love to do a study-abroad graduate program now.

London will always have a special place in my heart! London has always been on the list of places I wanted to travel to outside of the US, and I am beyond grateful that I was able to travel there with Arcadia Abroad. Arcadia Abroad emphasizes hands-on, interactive learning and encourages its students to step outside their comfort zones and venture into the unknown. The care, compassion, and attentiveness expressed by professors at the London Learning Center encouraged me to utilize my voice inside the classroom and gave me the courage to contribute to class discussions. Being housed in the Princess Elizabeth House allowed me to meet new students who attend Arcadia, and other students from various universities studying alongside Arcadia. I was able to participate in university excursions while abroad, and had the privilege of traveling throughout Europe with friends! My experience with Arcadia in London is one I won't forget, and I plan to study abroad again in the future.

I chose AIFS Abroad because I wanted a program that combined strong academic support with cultural experiences. I joined the London program, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. The pre-departure team guided me through each step, answering questions quickly and making me feel prepared before leaving. In London, the staff were welcoming and approachable, always checking in to make sure we were doing well. The housing was safe and well-located, which made daily life so much easier. I especially loved the excursions and cultural activities—they helped me explore London and other parts of the UK in ways I wouldn’t have managed on my own. What stood out most was the community I built. I met people who became close friends, and the experience gave me more independence and confidence. Professionally, I gained skills in adaptability and communication that I know will help me in the future. Before my study abroad journey, I was filled with excitement, mostly about the idea of being in a new country and soaking in a different culture. I had high hopes, but honestly, both London and the IES Abroad program exceeded every expectation I had. Of course, I got to experience all the iconic London attractions you dream about: the London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace—every postcard landmark was just as magical in real life. But what really surprised me was how much more there was beyond the tourist side. One of the most unforgettable experiences was a trip organised by IES to the Jurassic Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s not a place I would’ve ever put on my personal travel itinerary, but it ended up being one of the highlights of my entire time abroad. That trip showed me a completely different side of the UK, natural, historical, and deeply beautiful. While most people think of study abroad as all about travel and adventure (which it definitely is), I have to highlight how incredible the academic side was, too. The classes were intellectually engaging, and the professors brought a whole new perspective to learning. What I loved most was how they incorporated the city and our experiences into the classroom. We went to art galleries, had community volunteering placements, and brought real-life news to discuss in class that made learning feel holistic and alive. If I had the chance, I would absolutely do it all over again.

My time in London taught me so much about life and I’ll never forget it! Being on my own in another country felt like the first time I was truly self sufficient in my life and I had to make it work for me. I loved every lesson I learned and every friend I made. The experiences I had were life changing, and I can’t wait until I get the chance to go back to London!
