TED Summer School - Unlock ideas that change everything
A transformative two-week summer programme for motivated students aged 15-18, built around the art of communication, storytelling, and public speaking. Through a blend of theory and practice, small-group collaboration, and personal coaching, participants learn to shape powerful ideas and deliver them with clarity, confidence, and presence. The experience culminates in each student presenting their own TED-style talk to a live audience, captured on video. Why choose TED Summer School? Great communicators don’t just inform, they inspire action. TED Summer School offers ambitious students a rigorous, high-support environment to master the skills that make ideas resonate: clear structure, compelling narrative, evidence, voice, presence, and visual design. Beyond the talk, participants leave with a toolkit they can use across essays, interviews, leadership roles, and academic or professional pursuits. Locations: London, New York, Singapore

Frequently Asked Questions
How long are the programmes?
Each residential summer school runs for 2 weeks (13 nights), with sessions in June, July, and August 2026.
What subjects are covered?
Unlike traditional subject-based courses, TED Summer School focuses on idea development, storytelling, public speaking, and leadership skills. The programme focuses on:
Developing and shaping original ideas
Building confidence in communication
Mastering delivery across formats (speeches, panels, digital presentations)
Understanding the role of communication in leadership and future life
Are non-residential options available?
Yes. Students can choose to enrol as non-residential participants. This means accommodation is not provided, but all other aspects of the programme remain the same.
Do I need prior speaking experience?
No experience is required, just curiosity and enthusiasm. We believe everyone has an idea worth spreading, and we welcome students who are passionate about developing their speaking skills. Our model is tailored to each student’s starting point.
