Aupair in China

My experience in Guangzhou was amazing thanks to my host family, surely not thanks to the agency, especially after getting to China, the agent following me was not interested in me and disrespectful. I was forced to anticipate my flight two days before my expected departure, not even a little bit of empathy or understanding, she was just forcing me to make a decision quickly, furthermore on the day of my departure and the following days, no one asked me about how the flight was, if I was home safe, she just texted me on the morning of the flight, no good morning or greetings, just telling me “don’t miss the flight”. Quite disappointing approach.
Amazing experience, highly recommend

I had a great experience abroad with AIP. I went to Seoul, South Korea and did a tech internship for 6 weeks, and it was all facilitated and possible thanks to AIP. Everyone is super professional, friendly, helpful, and organized, and I always felt safe and informed while abroad. All activities and excursions were fun and well-planned, and I couldn’t recommend this program more. Each step of the process was taken care of, so it was a significantly better experience than traveling and studying/interning abroad on my own. Shoutout to Herlyn and Tyler for being super awesome and helpful!!

Glad I found it

It’s cheap and teaches you what you need to know as a first time teacher (I believe). There’s nothing too difficult about it but it does take some time to work through the reading (just skim it!) and assessments, which are multi choice on the whole.
Incredible Lessons Learned

Rogelio taught me what it means to be selfless & serve the community without being funded by the missions that do not resonate with what´s being offered. Keep the values, stick with what resonates. Love is an endless act of forgiveness, forgiveness is an endless act of love! Forgive all, love all! We are one, blessings! I love you all!
A hands-on learning-on-the-job education!

I had so much fun getting my hands dirty in the trenches of an actual archaeological dig! We split time between the classroom and in the trenches, but all of our time spent with Dr. Karavas was invaluable. While we spent a lot of time digging, there was ample time to explore Athens. I highly recommend this course because of the people and the experience it provides!

thanks from GAC for the wonderful journey

I studied Mandarin at BLCU in Beijing for 4 months through GAC. I arrived knowing only "ni hao." My homestay family was amazing – they only spoke Chinese, so I had to practice every single day. My teacher was patient and made classes fun and engaging. By month three, I could order food, take the subway, and have real conversations with locals. The GAC team organized weekend trips to the Great Wall and Summer Palace. I came back to Prague speaking more Chinese than friends who studied for years. Highly recommend for anyone serious about learning Mandarin.

Be open minded!

Máximo Nivel is a very well organized program. A suggestion I would make for future volunteers is to have an open mind coming in. Overall I had a great experience.
Abroad Dreams Come True
July 01, 2026Cialyn Floyd - United StatesProvider: Molise Italian Studies
As a student who dreamed of going abroad for years, I never considered a trip like this would be at my fingertips. Many know that traveling abroad is a big decision because it involves location costs return of investment and with being in school of the timeline of when it’s going to happen. I decided to make my minor Hotel restaurant management sophomore year of college, but wasn’t sure of how I was still going to make my broad dream come true. Fall semester of 2024 when I was in one of my HRM studies I wondered what options there could be to study the subject abroad. That’s when I discovered the Molise Italian Studies program NAU in Italy: Economics of Gastronomy. After promptly siding up, I was introduced to a fully guided program with pre-arrival meetings that fully explained the details and necessary precautions of going abroad. Which included an itinerary of the daily activities the lessons that would be focused on and places of accommodation. All details, which transferred extremely well into the actual trip. Each lesson was fully in depth and offered different opportunities. My favorite day was probably the day we visited Di Iorio Tartufi - Italian Truffle where we learned how truffles were safely found and made into a meal. I came home with at least 5 jars!! I highly enjoyed the environment, the greenery, and absolutely the delicious assortment of truffle products. At the end of the day, this program offered me a week of excitement and verity of locations across molise. I couldn’t have asked for a better program to introduce me to the world of traveling.
Great first experience

Program: Teach Confidently with this 10-Hour Practicum Course
Great experience completing the 10-hour Virtual TEFL course. The tutor, Michelle Benson, absolutely made the course. She has such positive energy, is incredibly encouraging, and explains everything very clearly. The lessons are well structured and especially helpful for people who have never taught before. One thing worth noting is that the "10-hour" course actually consists of 7 hours of live teaching (2 × 3.5-hour sessions). The remaining 3 hours are allocated to preparing and completing the homework. My advice would be to leave at least a day's gap between the sessions if possible. For people who work full-time, it can be quite difficult to find enough time to prepare properly for the following day's lesson.
Great activities

All of the activities that Maximo Nivel organizes (cooking class, Cusco tour, salsa class, etc.) are really a great opportunity to learn about Peruvian culture & know the other volunteers.
