Had an amazing time in Guatemala with Maximo Nivel. Everything ran very smoothly. The staff were nice and the facilities were great. Events were organised every week to help volunteers get to know each other as well.

The lessons were easy to follow, and I liked the fact that I could study at my own pace. Some parts were a bit challenging, especially the assignments, but I think they helped me understand lesson planning better. As someone who recently graduated with a degree in English Language Teaching, I found the course useful for reviewing what I had already learned and gaining some practical ideas. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a TEFL certificate.

My experience at the Buenos Aires TEFL Institute was amazing! The course is challenging and intensive, and I was initially worried about the workload, but it turned out to be completely manageable and absolutely worth it. The instructors are great, knowledgeable, supportive, and genuinely committed to helping you become a confident English teacher. Studying in their beautiful vintage building, where I was told a Netflix series had been filmed, was such a cool surprise! I also visited two other English schools for teaching practice, which gave me valuable real-world experience. I especially loved that the program is in person rather than online because you get hands-on practice and real interaction. Overall, it was a rewarding experience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to earn their TEFL qualification and start teaching English in Buenos Aires!

The course is complex but well-structured; therefore I was able to manage it, even studying and working at the same time. It requires discipline, but it is worth the effort. From an international school they have just sked for my resume: I feel preparerò amd confident.

I had an amazing experience with VAC! Being able to experience the various cultures of Cape Town while working at such an impactful internship site meant the world to me. I am incredibly grateful for the experience and look forward to returning to Cape Town soon! During my internship, I watched live births, epidural placements, and spent time in the labor ward. The organization is a nonprofit working in maternal health, and I helped counsel new bookings and provided support to mothers during labor. I also appreciated the support from VAC, the weekly activities, and the Culture Series. There was lots of guidance before arriving, and meeting the VAC staff during orientation was a highlight.

Sometimes you find a real bargain and it just goes to plan. This is that and that is epic! These guys have something really special in that they don’t seem to settle for just fine. For example, I messaged about a practice quiz having a font size that was a bit small for my liking and they told me they’d fix it. An hour later, I got an email saying it was fixed - every practice quiz since then has been in larger dont. Taking this course has taught me A LOT! Highly recommended to anyone looking for a TESOL cert.

I picked Cape Town because I wanted my data science background to actually mean something tangible, not just live inside a homework assignment. My internship gave me exactly that. I came in as a Political Science and Data Science student and left having built a data infrastructure completely from scratch master trackers, standardized systems, spreadsheets, and comprehensive impact reports. What I loved most was witnessing the human dimension behind all the numbers. I got to do site visits, conduct quantitative and qualitative research, and hear firsthand what these programs contributed to the community’s children and families. Having to translate these unique experiences into dashboards, reports, and spreadsheets felt like some of the most meaningful and tangible work I have ever done. I really enjoyed building out mastery and attendance trackers and running correlation analysis to see how consistent attendance connected to student progress. It felt rewarding to turn everyday classroom data into something that could actually inform decisions. I also loved putting together a donor and sponsor-facing report because it meant translating the day-to-day work happening on the ground into something that could help sustain the program long-term. Seeing that report actually get published and sent out to potential donors, knowing it could genuinely help engage people with the program’s mission, was one of the most rewarding moments of the whole internship. I also learned that I thrive in ambiguity, particularly when I am handed a problem with no template and no instructions. This is a version of my own resourcefulness I did not recognize until this internship. My biggest tip to incoming interns would be to stay adaptable and work hard. Come in ready to build, not just to observe. The more comfortable you are with creating structure from scratch, the more value you will be able to add. Get to know the organizations beyond the data as well, the stories behind the numbers made everything I built way more meaningful. The VAC staff made Cape Town feel like home almost instantly. The weekly activities gave interns something to look forward to, and I’m so grateful for how supported I felt navigating an entirely new country. Coming to Cape Town was the best decision I made this summer! My internship site was a perfect fit for me, and VAC made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. My internship solidified my decision to pursue gynecology because I was able to witness births, talk to mothers, and do small clinical tasks. The organization provides resources to underrepresented communities that don’t have the best access to medical care or quality-of-life outcomes. They provide counseling resources and tools to help people struggling with substance abuse get their lives back on track. They also help new and continuing mothers have the resources and tools to properly care for their children while also looking out for their own mental health. I helped by assessing mothers and counseling them if they had any mental health concerns or issues with substance abuse. I really appreciated the internship placement, weekly activities, and VAC staff support. My advice for future interns is to do your research about Observatory and Cape Town in general, have a list of things you want to do, and plan everything out. The time will go by fast.

I found the communication extremely professional and to the point. The course was well understood and user friendly. I would recommend this course to any beginner teacher irrespective the country they live in, as it lays a solid foundation on how to teach learners. I am extremely satisfied and should have done this long ago. In South Africa we say: "VIVA TEFL!" Continue the excellent work and outstanding course.

I chose Cape Town because I wanted to experience a different culture while gaining hands-on experience in education. What I loved most was getting to experience everyday life rather than simply visiting as a tourist. Through my internship at a local primary school, I was able to build connections with students and teachers while learning about the community firsthand. One of my main goals was to better understand education outside of the United States and see how a school responds to the needs of its community. I spent time observing younger learners, seeing how teachers supported different learning and behavioral needs, and having meaningful conversations with staff about their experiences and the challenges facing their students. Seeing the relationships teachers built with their students was one of the biggest highlights of my internship. I stayed for about eight weeks, which gave me enough time to adjust and really experience the culture. The VAC staff and weekly activities made settling into a new country much easier and introduced me to parts of Cape Town I probably would not have discovered on my own. I am especially grateful for the people I met and the opportunity to experience education and community from a completely different perspective.

I spent 2 months living in London completing an internship in London for Business/Marketing, and I had the most amazing time! I had never really travelled much before with my family or anything growing up, but in 2025 I went to Europe for 3 weeks fresh out of high school with just my best friend. We started and ended the trip in London, and I knew straight away that London is a definitely a place I want to experience living in one day. I was super lucky I had such an amazing flatmate who I became super close with, and I also made another close friend at a lunch I went to on my 2nd day in London to meet some of the other interns. We all ended up hanging out together in London heaps, I went to Barcelona with one of them which was so much fun! I also got to see some friends from home (Melbourne, Australia) while I was in London which was amazing too. Towards the end of my time there, I even went to Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest with some friends from home which was incredible!! I stayed in Sheffield with my flatmate at her uni for my last weekend before going back to Australia, and got to go to Manchester with her too! Everyone at my internship was always super lovely and helpful throughout my time there, and I really learnt a lot which was amazing. Overall, I had an amazing time, and feel so much more independent and confident having to figure things out and adapt on my own. I'm really glad I did it, I had the best time and it really showed me I'm truly capable of anything I put my mind to!

I’ve been studying at this school over half year, and looking back at where I started, my progress is remarkable. I went from struggling with simple greetings to holding fluent conversations about work, news, and daily life. The structured curriculum, combined with regular assessments, ensures you never lose track of what you've learned. It is an invaluable investment in my language skills !

I find the classes to be engaging and they make it easy to both retain knowledge and build upon what I have learned. It is a great opportunity to surround myself with students who have similar goals, and the school provides class dates that are accessible.

I felt the course was of good value. I learned a lot of skills and the assessments gave me good practical skills, I can take into practice. The course was interesting as I was able to create lesson plans with the support and I was given links to many resources. The feedback was prompt to make amendments and I had enough time to complete the course.

I'll be honest — the first week was rough. The language barrier hit me harder than I expected, and I remember standing in a supermarket in Shanghai completely lost, trying to figure out which bottle was shampoo. But that's exactly why I chose this. I wanted to be pushed out of my comfort zone, and GAC made sure I had support while I figured things out. My placement was with a business consulting firm, and my team was surprisingly patient with me. They'd slow down during meetings, write things out for me, and invite me to lunch even when I could barely keep up with the conversation. By week three, something clicked. I started understanding more, contributing more, and actually enjoying the chaos of it all. My manager even let me lead a small client presentation toward the end, which terrified me but ended up being the highlight of my time there. I left China with more than work experience — I left with a completely different mindset about what I'm capable of.

I came to Buenos Aires right after graduating college in the US, and taking the TEFL course at Buenos Aires TEFL Institute was seriously one of the best decisions I could have made. I wanted something hands-on, not another online course where you're just watching videos and taking quizzes. The instructors were super knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely cared about helping us become confident teachers. The teaching practice with real Argentine students was probably my favorite part. You actually get to apply what you're learning instead of just reading about it. I also loved how personal everything felt. Our group really connected, and the whole experience was way more interactive than I expected. The job placement assistance was another huge plus, especially coming straight out of college and figuring out my next move. And honestly, getting to live in Buenos Aires while earning my TEFL certification made the experience even better. If you're a recent college grad looking to travel, gain real teaching experience, and open up opportunities abroad, I'd definitely recommend Buenos Aires TEFL Institute!

I had lots of fun on this trip I went with a friend we had a great experience. Our counselors were awesome. We went swimming in Italy and paragliding in Switzerland. Switzerland was probably my favorite stop. It was super beautiful and I would love to go back. I made lots of new friends and had an amazing time. I’m still in contact with some of the people I went on the trip with even though it’s been almost 4 months and I still talk to some from my trip last year. it was overall a great experience.

I started learning Mandarin from scratch ,because my wife‘s Chinese and I prefer to communicate with her family.After completed 35 online lessons with this school, I have seen measurable progress, so I‘ve extended my subscription.This is a well-organised and professional learning platform, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to study Chinese.

I chose Cape Town because I wanted to experience living somewhere completely different while also getting real work experience. I didn’t want to just travel somewhere for a few weeks; I wanted to actually live here, work, and experience what everyday life was like. Looking back, I’m so glad I chose Cape Town because it ended up being so much more than I expected. I absolutely loved my internship. I got to work on sexual and reproductive health research, help with REDCap surveys and data, administer surveys, and see some of the clinical side of the work. One of my favorite experiences was getting to observe a nurse take blood samples for an HIV study. It was really rewarding to see how the work I was helping with connected to actual patients and public health. One of my main goals was to gain experience in clinical research and better understand how research connects to public health and patient care. I contributed to sexual and reproductive health and STI research, helped design and manage REDCap surveys, administered surveys in person, and worked on data cleaning. I especially enjoyed seeing how research is carried out beyond the classroom and learning from people who work directly in the field. My experience became much more hands-on once I communicated with my supervisors about the areas I was interested in and asked how I could contribute more directly. I would tell future interns to go in willing to ask questions and take initiative. It is also important to be flexible because the pace of research can vary, and there may be quieter periods when you have to look for ways to get involved. One of my favorite parts of the whole experience was simply living in Cape Town. I genuinely tell everyone that Cape Town is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. The scenery, the people, the food, and just the feeling of being here made me feel so at home. By the end, I had gotten so comfortable here and felt like I had built a life for myself. I also loved meeting other interns through VAC, especially people from schools that I would never have met otherwise. It was really fun hearing about everyone’s internships and having people to explore Cape Town with. The weekly activities and Culture Series made that really easy, and some of the people I met through the program ended up being a huge part of my experience. I genuinely loved the VAC staff and felt so comfortable with them. They were incredibly welcoming from the beginning, and I never felt uncomfortable asking questions or reaching out when I needed something. Being so far from home could have been intimidating, but having people here that I knew I could rely on made such a difference. I stayed for about two months, and I think that was a great amount of time because I had enough time to settle into my internship and actually feel like I was living in Cape Town instead of just visiting. My biggest advice for future interns is to come with an open mind, give yourself time to adjust, and take advantage of everything the program and the city have to offer. I’m extremely sad to leave. I feel like I found a second home in Cape Town, and I know I’m going to be talking about this experience for a very long time.
