Psychology Internships in Singapore

This 2 month experience I just got was genuinely the best decision I have made while in college so far. It completely changed my perspective on how it is to live in Southeast Asia, and I believe that with the right opportunity, I would live in Singapore for a couple of years. I lived my host company and the culture they have. The best part of the program was all of the new relationships I was able to build, and the weekend trips we took helped a lot with that. I was honestly sadder to leave Singapore more than I was excited to get back to the United States.

I recently completed a four-month internship in Singapore with Ecolah, focusing on the import and distribution of organic food products from Spain. This opportunity provided me with strong exposure to international logistics, customs documentation, and supply chain coordination. I gained hands-on experience in managing import procedures, supporting inventory operations, and maintaining communication with distributors to ensure smooth product flow. I would especially like to express my appreciation to the founder Beatriz Cadenas and the business development head Natalia Sarmiento , who consistently guided me and encouraged me to take on meaningful responsibilities. Their mentorship helped me develop a deeper understanding of how strategic decisions are made in a competitive market like Singapore. They created a supportive environment where learning and professional growth were always valued. Overall, this internship significantly enhanced my skills and broadened my global business perspective. I am truly grateful for the experience and highly recommend Ecolah to anyone looking to build a strong foundation in international trade and business development.

Singapore with Absolute Internship was a truly life-changing experience. The housing was incredible—fantastic building and amenities all on top of a mall! The convenience was unbelievable, and it was possible to get to most places in Singapore from the residence without stepping outside. The internship itself was so rewarding and developmental. My company balanced my work so well, ensuring I got all the relevant experience I could want while giving me plenty of time to explore Singapore. Absolute's team's communication was fantastic as well. At one point, I felt underutilized at my internship, so I reached out to see what I could do. Within a week, they had communicated with my bosses, and I was getting put onto more tasks, more leadership in my internship, and everything was incredibly useful and fruitful after that. The helpfulness of the staff, the facilities and resources Absolute offered, not to mention the amazing weekend trips and the experience of my internship, made me 100% confident that my decision was right—that Absolute Internship is truly the best abroad internship program out there.

Got placed at a horrible company at first but within a week was placed at a different company after telling the program coordinator what was going on. Extremely professional and understanding staff! The weekend trips and other events organised with the other interns are all extremely helpful in getting comfortable in your program location and it’s super easy to make friends! Definitely a good cv boost as an added bonus!

Interning in Singapore was probably the best program I could've participated in this past summer. Not only did I gain tangible technical skills in bond pricing and market analysis as I helped close a $60 million bond deal, but I also got the chance to develop my soft professional skills as I got to interact directly with C-suite executives and had multiple chances to present my work or thoughts in team meetings. Beyond being incredibly helpful for my professional development, this program also gave me a wider appreciation for Southeast Asia. As I was in Singapore, I was able to travel around on the weekends to explore different countries across Southeast Asia, and participating in the local culture and eating local food were core memories that I won't forget.

From the very start, the project coordinators were professional, supportive, and genuinely invested in making sure I had the best possible experience. Their organization and communication made the entire process smooth and stress-free, and they were always available to answer questions or offer guidance. Interning and living in Singapore this past summer was incredible! My internship at a private equity firm, which focused on education investments, has enabled me to gain hands-on experience through analyzing potential deals, interviewing company founders, helping with financial modeling, and reviewing company documents including investment memorandums and short diligence reports. As part of the deals team, I had great mentorship and learning opportunities where I received support from my coworkers, especially my supervisor. On the weekends, I enjoyed exploring Singapore with friends and visiting attractions such as the Botanical Gardens, Peranakan Houses, and Universal Studios. I also tried a wide variety of delicious and affordable cuisine, from local staples such as nasi lemak at hawker centres to cakes at nearby cafes. I'm so glad I had this opportunity to have international work experience in emerging markets while immersed in the culture of Singapore.

Being abroad is so much fun but it can definitely be stressful, however, absolute made the whole experience so enjoyable. The staff was super helpful and made sure I had what I needed the entire time I was there.

Coming to Singapore with Absolute Internship has been such an incredible experience. It was my first time in Singapore and I met wonderful people from the program and work. My program coordinators have also been extremely supportive of the students in the program. Overall, as my first time coming to Singapore let alone gaining an internship abroad, I had an amazing time.

It was a great experience, however I do think it is geared towards people with little to no work experience and did not meet all my expectations of learning something new in a new work environment. The best part was being able to practice my Spanish with my host family.

CIEE provided me with a great internship site, a clean and nice apartment in a good neighborhood, and gave me roommates who shared similar interests. The staff was extremely kind and helped me whenever I needed, and were good about checking in with me about my experiences

I had an amazing summer thanks to Absolute Internship, who organized my fintech internship at Pand.ai in Singapore. From the start, they made the whole process super easy and stress-free. The Absolute Internship team was always there to help, whether it was sorting out the details and housing or making sure I was settling in well. The internship itself at Pand.ai was a fantastic experience. I got to work on some really cool projects, like developing scripts for AI chatbots and building a financial model to tackle some big cost challenges. It was a great way to put my skills in Python, Kubernetes, and MongoDB to use in a real-world setting. But what made this experience truly special was everything outside of work. Absolute Internship organized plenty of networking events, city tours, and cultural activities that helped me make the most of my time in Singapore. I met awesome people from all over the world and got to explore a vibrant new city. If you're looking to gain some valuable work experience while having an unforgettable adventure, I can’t recommend Absolute Internship enough.

It was a great time! I met lots of people and really enjoyed myself! I would recommend it to everyone! I really liked to cool experience and memories that were made! overall I think it will benefit me a lot in the future.

Living in Singapore, I was exposed so much diverse culture! Working there was an amazing experience and I miss it very much now that I’ve left. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to step out into the world and learn all that Singapore has to offer!

My experience in Singapore was amazing. I learned so much about myself and what I want for my future through interning. Gaining international work experience while making friendships and memories overseas was well worth it!

I flew out to Singapore and it was an incredible experience. My workplace was fulfilling and my boss was very kind. I met lots of other students on the same program, and absolute arranged lots of activities for us, including orientation to get to know the city and each other. The 2 absolute internship representatives were very kind and helpful. I also got to visit other Asian countries as well, including South Korea Vietnam Indonesia Cambodia Malaysia and Thailand. It was overall an incredible experience which I would love to do all over again

Singapore was an amazing experience. My favorite part was getting to travel to other countries on the weekends. I think placement could have been a bit better. I enjoyed the people I worked with, but I did not enjoy the work I was doing. I think a lot of us struggled with that. The communication before the trip wasn't very effective either. I was called the wrong name, wasn't told when to book my flight, and wouldn't receive responses via email for weeks. All of the activities we did in Singapore were fantastic though. I really enjoyed it, and it was an overall great experience.

This summer in Singapore was the best experience. I’ve met so many new people and I met my best friend there. Also Singapore is a very good city to live in. It is very safe und clean. The city is so beautiful and divers. The accommodation is beautiful and in the center of the city. The club is only a ten minute walk away. The food is so great and cheap. You can get for 7 SGD Michelin star soup dumplings. I learned how other Company’s work and what are the differences in the working cultures. If you have the chance to go to Singapore, then do it. You will not regret it.

I think there's problems here and there with cleanliness of dorms and location choices, but overall I had a very positive experience. The staff and program as a whole I felt was a very worthwhile opportunity.
