Great time! - Will always think back to my Summer in Berlin
October 29, 2026by: Mark Low - United StatesLiving: The living situation was excellent and I think is a rare find compared to most study/intern abroad programs, especially because in other programs they'd probably charge you for a private studio. I'm currently studying abroad in Barcelona and I live in a dorm with a roommate, and I still think back to how good my living situation was in Berlin. I remember there being ample cooking utensils, stove, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, not to mention it cam e with a flatscreen TV. I had queen bed and the bedroom was separate from the kitchen area. My current living space doesn't compare at all with my place in Berlin.. Like the if i wanted an apartment they wouldve charged me a large amount adn even then you share the apartment with 4 other people lol. So the berlin program had a top tier living situation. Work: This was my first internship, and I'm extremely grateful to this company for giving me the opportunity to work with them. My boss was extremely helpful and wanted to make sure we we're doing work that interests us, if we wanted to do more entreprenurial work or corporate finance/ accounting. I was impressed by the immense global reach of the company. I worked mainly in finance/accounting and most of the people I communicated with were based in the Netherlands or South Africa. A lot of the finance infrastructure was in Dutch, but using the translating tool, it was always easy to navigate.. towards the end I stopped using the translation tool and I really ended up learning a lot of Dutch finance terms. I always enjoyed socializing/ networking with other people in the office. They were very helpful and communicative, especially at the very beginning. I learned so much from them and my supervisors and working in an international environment. Now I feel more confident in the professional space and working in a team. The only complaint I have is that a clear work schedule was not specified with me and the other finance interns at the beginning, however, we soon found out and apologized for the misunderstanding. We understood to be there at 10am, we just didnt have communication or anything in writing, as to when the work day ended at first. Activities: I enjoyed the tours and group trips, great way to get to know better the city and rest of the country. I really enjoyed the Warnemunde trip. I wish I had gone on the Poland or Czechia trips. But I really enjoyed how accessible the nature was in and around Berlin. One of my favorite things to do was go hang out by a lake, which Berlin has many of and is great to do on a hot summer day. If I were to suggest another activity.. maybe a bike tour around Berlin. Or a group tour of some of the DDR sites- I loved visiting the DDR museum and all the remnants of that era. I really enjoyed my time. Hope to visit again.
Great working and cultural experience
October 28, 2026by: Megan Braun - United StatesMy time in Berlin was amazing, I got exposed to new cultures and ideas as well as getting valuable and relevant work experience. AIFS connected me with incredible mentors who helped me grow personally and professionally as well as organized cultural outings to show me the unique experiences Berlin has to offer.
I would recommend this program to everyone
October 25, 2026by: Owen McElfresh - United StatesI lived in Madrid for 10 weeks and was astounded by the culture of Spain and its diversity! Sage Corps helped me get to experience the wonders of traveling abroad as a college student and be able to intern abroad! They were very supportive and led us in many group activities to interact with local experiences.
Enjoy your summer and work!

My Wonderful Experience With Sage Corps!
September 19, 2026by: Marcus Sponsler - United StatesI had such a great experience with Sage Corps this summer in Amsterdam. Going into the program, I was really excited about the opportunity to intern abroad, but I honestly ended up getting so much more out of the experience than I expected. I was able to work with a startup in Amsterdam and gain real experience in sales, business development, marketing, and working in an international environment. I learned a ton professionally, but I also grew a lot personally. Living in a new country for two months definitely pushed me outside of my comfort zone at times, and I feel like I came home much more confident, independent, and open-minded because of it. One of my favorite parts of Sage Corps was also the people. I met so many great people from different schools and backgrounds, made some really close friends, and loved having a group of people to experience Amsterdam with. The events Sage Corps put together were always fun, and it was also really nice having people from the program in Amsterdam who were there to support us throughout the summer. I’m extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to be a part of Sage Corps. It gave me an amazing internship experience, great friendships, and memories from Amsterdam that I’ll honestly never forget. I would definitely recommend the program to anyone who wants to gain meaningful work experience while also pushing themselves to try something new and experience living abroad.

An amazing euro summer
September 11, 2026by: Ali Eslich - United StatesMy summer in Spain with SageCorps was truly a dream come true. Getting to live in Europe for a summer (my dream) and gain valuable professional experience with a local travel company, I never imagined it would be possible. I got the opportunity to work for a travel company in their partner experience and brand design department while soaking up summer in Barcelona. Throughout the entire summer, the SageCorps team made sure we felt supported and got the most out of our time abroad. They planned several group activities that allowed our cohort to explore Barcelona and experience all the excitement the city has to offer. My favorite was our day trip to Sitges, a beautiful beach town just outside the city. I will forever be grateful for this experience!

An unforgettable summer in Barcelona
September 09, 2026by: Lilliana Miranda - United StatesMy Sage Corps experience in Barcelona was one of the most meaningful experiences of my college career. The program gave me the opportunity to live and work abroad while gaining hands-on experience at a startup, where I worked on sales, business development, outreach, research, content creation, and marketing projects. I appreciated that I was given real responsibilities and the opportunity to explore different areas of the company, which helped me better understand my professional strengths and interests. Sage Corps also did a great job creating opportunities for us to experience Barcelona beyond our internships. Our City Managers, Pamela and Mikel, were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout the program. They gave us great recommendations, made the scheduled events fun, and most importantly made me feel safe while living abroad. They organized a variety of activities and excursions for our cohort throughout the program, including visits to Mirador Torre Glòries, Park Güell, and a day trip to Sitges, just to name a few. These experiences gave us the chance to explore more of Barcelona, learn about the culture, and make memories together outside of work. Living abroad challenged me to become more independent, adaptable, and confident. I returned home with new professional skills, meaningful friendships, unforgettable memories, and a clearer sense of what I want from my future career. I would absolutely recommend Sage Corps to students who want international work experience while also immersing themselves in a new culture.

The Best Intern Abroad Experience
September 09, 2026by: Melia Piloske - United StatesMy experience with Sage Corps was one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve had in college. I interned in Madrid, Spain, as a Business Development and Sales Intern, where I worked on customer outreach, sales, market research, social media, and client relationships. One of the biggest things I gained was learning how to adapt to a new culture. At first, I struggled with the different communication styles in Spain, but over time I became more comfortable and learned how important it is to be open-minded and adaptable. I also loved the experiences outside of my internship, especially the Toledo trip, group dinners, and Bernabeu Tour. Getting to explore Spain while meeting other students made the experience even more memorable. I would highly recommend Sage Corps because it gives you the chance to gain real professional experience while immersing yourself in another culture. It pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Great time!
August 19, 2026by: Madison Anderson - United StatesI had a great time in Berlin! I got to experience living on my own for the first time in a brand new city. Learn how to use public transportation, save money, take care of myself, and learn new things from my internship.

10/10 Experience
August 11, 2026by: Britton Born - United StatesBerlin is an amazing city. The Base, where we lived, was very comfortable. Beyond was great at having activities and initiating meet ups with the other interns. I loved the atmosphere of Berlin. I felt that it had a very gritty, artistic vibe to it which I really enjoyed.

Amazing Summer 2025 in Amsterdam!
January 17, 2026by: Lily Xu - United StatesI am so incredibly grateful for the amazing experience I had abroad last summer in Amsterdam! Through Sage Corps I was able to work as a data analysis intern for a startup in the area, where I not only gained professional experience, but got to work on a project in machine learning for the first time, which was something I was interested in. The highlight of my summer was definitely all of the wonderful friends I made that were in my program. I had so much fun being able to connect with so many great people, and it taught me the value of saying yes to everything. We traveled and explored together, and even though I was working a 40-hour week, I definitely felt like I was able to create those meaningful relationships and try out so many new things. Wouldn't trade the experience for anything. I really had a fantastic time and would definitely encourage anyone on the edge of studying abroad to go for it, even if outside your comfort zone. I loved Amsterdam and the Netherlands because everyone was so kind and the environment was so laid back, but being able to travel to other parts of Europe was thrilling and new for me, and I really enjoyed being able to take in different cultures. Highly recommend!

10/10 would recommend
December 14, 2025by: Cass Morrison - United StatesOne of the most fulfilling experiences I have ever had. The placement was immaculate, and the excursions were wonderful. I thought AIFS staff did a great job of planning events while balancing letting students have their own time independently. The staff were all super kind.

I gained practical skills related to my field and learned what it is like to work in an international and professional environment. The team was supportive, and I was given real tasks that helped me grow and gain confidence in my abilities. Living in Berlin was also a great experience. The city is diverse, creative, and full of history, which made my time outside of work enjoyable and memorable. Meeting people from different backgrounds and adapting to a new culture helped me become more independent and open-minded. Overall, this internship helped me grow both personally and professionally, and I am very grateful for the opportunity.

The Summer of a Lifetime in Amsterdam!!
November 22, 2025by: haley lorch - United StatesI got the amazing opportunity to study abroad in Amsterdam in the summer of 2025, and it was truly a life-changing experience. Sage Corps is such a unique program because it allows you to study abroad while also getting real-world experience by working with businesses in your host country. I was able to fully immerse myself in Amsterdam’s culture, explore the city during my free time, and simultaneously grow my business skills through my internship at a startup. I can’t recommend this program enough for anyone who wants to truly live in another city and experience it on a deeper level. Working and commuting in Amsterdam every day gave me a completely new perspective on the city, and I absolutely loved it. Beyond the professional and personal growth, I also made so many amazing friends—many of whom I still talk to regularly! If you’re even slightly considering this program… DO IT!! You’ll have the summer of your dreams, make unforgettable memories, and leave with a piece of the city in your heart forever.

Great Experience and Wonderful Memories!
October 21, 2025by: Keyan Vojdani - United StatesInterning with Sage Corps in Lisbon last summer was a wonderful opportunity. From start to finish, everything was organized, supportive, and truly transformative. The team made the entire process seamless, from matching me with a startup that aligned with my interests to helping me adjust to a new city and culture. My internship gave me real, hands-on experience in a fast-paced startup environment. I worked on meaningful business development projects that made an impact and collaborated with founders and teams who trusted me with real responsibility. It was exciting, challenging, and incredibly rewarding. Sage Corps is an amazing program that combines hands-on startup experience with full cultural immersion. Living and working abroad taught me how to adapt quickly, communicate across cultures, and think more creatively. Along the way, I met an inspiring community of international students, mentors, and entrepreneurs who made the experience even more meaningful. I would highly recommend the program.
The best experience!
October 15, 2025by: Ella Nanton - United KingdomAs someone who has never travelled alone before, this was one of the scariest things I've done but it was absolutely worth it! Beyond were really helpful in finding an internship that fit my goals and preparing me for my time abroad. I always had someone around for support if I needed it, the community events that were planned were so fun and weren't typical tourist things but instead were places and activities I might not have thought of. I didn't need to worry about finding somewhere to live, it was all taken care of and now that I'm back I wish had stayed longer.
I gained a wider worldview
October 08, 2025by: Max Wolfe - United StatesFrom the people I met, to the places I visited, I had a beautiful time and feel I gained insight into how big the world is. This was my first time traveling without my family, and though I was not worried to travel, I could not have expected to feel at home thousands of miles from Philadelphia (my home). The AIFS staff was more than helpful and always looking to engage interns in immersive experiences. It was worth it 10x over.

Great support and opportunities while abroad!
October 02, 2025by: Talia Scott - United StatesSage Corps did an awesome job of supporting my experience throughout the whole process. There were multiple onboarding meetings before the summer started that gave a lot of help in preparing me for my time in Spain. While I was there, the cultural activities that were included in the program were a huge highlight. We had a tour of the Gothic quarter, wine-tasting, paella making, and several traditional Spanish dinners. Additionally, my city managers were so helpful for any questions or recommendations we needed about Barcelona. Sage Corps also provides a lot of support with your internship from the interview process all the way through, making sure you have what you need to succeed!
Hands-On Startup Experience Abroad
September 27, 2025by: Zaira Gell - United StatesDuring my placement in Madrid, I worked on a range of research, data, and design tasks. This allowed me to contribute to the work of a growing company while learning how startups operate in a global context. You will learn to adapt fast and will be immersed in a culture other than your own, where you will grow. Sage Corps is an amazing program that pairs hands-on startup experience with global immersion. You won't be observing other people's work; you will be at the forefront of many of the company's projects from day one. You will learn so much about yourself and about how the world works. You will build a network of international peers and mentors. You will learn to adapt fast and will be immersed in a culture other than your own, where you will grow. I recommend it because experiences abroad will accelerate your personal growth, and an internship with a startup with accelerate your professional growth.
