My internship in South Korea through AIP was genuinely unforgettable. From the very beginning, the AIP team made the whole process smooth by staying in touch, offering guidance, and making sure I always knew what to expect. I also loved that they arranged meetups and activities that allowed us to explore Korea beyond just our workplace. The program was thoughtfully structured and gave me the chance to grow both professionally and personally. During my time in Korea, I was able to learn so much about the culture and enjoy many great moments with my company and colleagues. It’s an experience I truly appreciate. I really enjoyed my internship in Seoul, the company was amazing and very welcoming, and my accomodation was close to everything that I needed. I enjoyed the work that I did and I received very clear instructions on how to achieve what I needed to by my host company.

It was interesting to be here in Hong Kong. Being nervous, excited, and learning a lot of new things in a beautiful place like Hong Kong is something everyone should try! I really recommend it :) you’ll have the perfect mix of a work life balance in Asia.

Absolute Internship gave me the opportunity to gain meaningful international work experience in a supportive and well-structured environment. The support and structure of the program made the transition smooth and the experience rewarding. The program not only helped me apply what I have learned academically to real-world projects, but also broaden my global perspective. It’s a transformative experience that I would highly recommend to any student looking to both growing personally and professionally, as well as explore career paths globally.

It was a great experience, however I do think it is geared towards people with little to no work experience and did not meet all my expectations of learning something new in a new work environment. The best part was being able to practice my Spanish with my host family.

CIEE provided me with a great internship site, a clean and nice apartment in a good neighborhood, and gave me roommates who shared similar interests. The staff was extremely kind and helped me whenever I needed, and were good about checking in with me about my experiences

I participated in the Absolute Internship virtually and it was a very insightful experience where I gained transferable communication and research skills in the venture capital field. My program coordinator was very helpful in connecting me with my internship mentor and provided support and guidance throughout the start of my journey. My recent internship experience in Hong Kong, facilitated by AIP (Asia Internship Program), has been an exceptional chapter in my professional development. During the placement process, The Intern Group only had one mechanical engineering option to offer me at a company based in Colombia and had to switch to a fully remote position. The situation was unfortunate because of the time zone differences and the workload was very independent. This wasn’t the internship I hoped for but it definitely challenged me professionally. The people that arrived the same time as I did + the accommodation made the whole experience worthwhile. Our experience coordinator, Erika, was very welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. We would have weekly meet ups to socialize and do fun activities together. The accommodation is full of other friendly students/travelers and I felt very safe, it’s comparable to a single dorm room.

I think there's problems here and there with cleanliness of dorms and location choices, but overall I had a very positive experience. The staff and program as a whole I felt was a very worthwhile opportunity.

Meiji Internships has definitely opened many new doors for my future career path. Throughout the pandemic this was one big headache for me, but Meiji were always informative and responsive throughout. Even before I arrived in Hong Kong, I knew I could count on them. Once I got the good news I could actually travel to Hong Kong, I wasted no more time and got on the plane as soon as possible. Again, I cant thank Meiji enough for the smoothness of their organisation during this hectic time. Once I arrived, I was welcomed with open arms and given the internship of a lifetime. I took a lot away form this internship and built a substantial network of key contacts. I’m looking forward to the future.

The whole reason I wanted to intern in Asia was for the purpose of personal growth. It’s a place that requires a lot of perseverance and willingness to adapt, while also being the fastest growing continent in the world in terms of business. I took a specific interest in Hong Kong for the many business opportunities that can be found there, as well as the level of English proficiency that the vast majority of the population has. During my internship I worked within a small team, which really allowed me to work closely with my colleagues. Because of this they were able to teach me a lot, and I was properly involved in a number of important projects. This internship gave me the insight I needed to scope out the business world of Hong Kong, and also the confidence to handle myself in places far different to my home country.

Meiji were quick when responding to questions, and always gave the accurate information. They have very good company partners so I enjoyed working with the company. I think that Meiji Internships is a top rated organisation, so I would recommend it.

I went to Hong Kong for an internship to achieve the last of my university credits. Honestly I thought it was going to be a regrettable experience since I didn’t know the language, nor know anybody in Hong Kong. But actually it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. The work was engaging and the people I worked with were always accommodating to my questions and opinions. The internship really made me want to pack my bags and move to Hong Kong for a long time. The majority of my downtime was spent exploring the vast jungle of back streets and finding all of the best places to eat. For anybody who is looking to get out of their comfort zone, try Hong Kong! It’s scary at first but ultimately very rewarding.

It was a long, long time in the making, but I’m so glad I was finally able to travel to Hong Kong. To be frank, reading the news that they had began to allow foreign visitors back into Hong Kong felt like a dream. I could hardly believe it myself! It’s only natural to be sceptical about an internship abroad (particularly in Asia, the other side of the world) when we’re talking about handing over money to a group of people you’ve never met before. This is how I felt at the start, but after some very friendly and reassuring Skype calls, I decided to trust my instincts and go with Meiji Internships. This decision really paid off, because I ended up having the internship of a lifetime in a city that demands your attention. I did some insightful work, met some interesting people, and gained worthwhile experience.

My CIEE internship in Barcelona, Spain is a great experience not just academically but also personally. I have learned so much about myself during these months and building connections is so important in life.

This program was such a wonderful experience. I stayed in Madrid as one of their first digital nomads where I had the option to work from home while staying in Madrid. I worked with a Madrid marketing agency and sometimes would meet up with my boss to work together or grab coffee. This program was so flexible and fun I was able to travel all around Spain and Europe while adding a perfect internship to my resume. I made some of the best friends I’ve ever had and are still traveling/in contact with them today! The program directors are very involved and make sure you feel welcome in the destination of your choice. They also provide nights out with the other interns of that cohort while introducing new ones each month. I highly recommend this program to anyone wanting to be a world traveler without it impacting their career trajectories in a negative way. Thank you @theinterngroup!

I'm happy that I took the opportunity to do an internship while I'm still here in Hong Kong due to the pandemic and it's all with the help of AIP. It was sort of hard because I couldn't go into the office everyday but it was still fine because I made use of my time while I was here. Very grateful for the opportunity and I'm looking for more!
