Girl Scouts – Heart of the South, get ready to explore Costa Rica, one of the most biologically diverse areas in Latin America, with beach visits, jungle hikes, and waterfall swims. Volunteer at an animal rescue center working to stop illegal wildlife trafficking and teach the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals at a local primary school. This global service-learning experience supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 4.7 and 15.7, promoting sustainable development, human rights, and global citizenship, as well as action against the poaching and trafficking of protected species.
